Congratulaons with your Tiiwee PIR X4 Moon Sensor Alarm. The PIR moon

sensor alarm is intended to detect when people enter your shop or your home.

Depending on your need, it will sound a loud siren alarm or a friendly

“DingDong”-sound. The PIR moon Sensor features fuzzy logic processing

technology and intelligent analysis algorithms to opmize its ability to correctly

interpret signals.

The X4 PIR moon sensor alarm can be operated directly on the device or with

a remote control. If required, you can link mulple remote controls form the

Tiiwee Home Alarm System to the A4 to allow your team- or family members to

arm or deacvate the PIR moon sensor alarm as well. An innovave feature is

the ability to add sensors from the Tiiwee Home Alarm System easily to extend

your PIR Moon Sensor Alarm capabilies. It can be linked to other components

of the Tiiwee Home Alarm System like the Door & Window sensor or the PIR

sensor.

Main features of the X4 alarm system

X4 Siren

Explanaon of zones

Normal-zone - sensors in this zone will trigger a loud siren alarm when the X4 is

armed.

Doorbell-zone - sensors connected in this zone will trigger a “DingDong”-sound

regardless of if the X4 is armed or deacvated.

Emergency-zone - sensors connected in this zone will always trigger a loud siren

alarm regardless of if the X4 is acvated or deacvated.

Intended use

The Tiiwee Home Alarm System is designed primarily to generate a loud siren

alarm sound when a burglar is trying to enter your home. The centre of the

system is the X4 siren. Place the siren in your home where burglars are most

likely to enter. We advise posioning the siren at a place where it cannot be

easily reached.

If you purchased a X4 Kit with addional sensors, your system is preconﬁgured,

and the sensors and remote controls are connected to the X4 siren. Included

sensors are connected as normal alarm sensors in the “Normal” zone. The

and to familiarize yourself with its basic operang principle and ways to adjust

it to your exact needs.

1. Unpack:

Unpack all kit components and lay them in front of you on the table.

2. Remove Baery Protecon:

X4 Siren: Remove the white baery protecon. You hear one beep, and the X4

Siren switches on automacally.

Door sensors: Remove the white baery protecon at the back of the sensor

by pulling it.

a. Arrange the X4 alarm unit such that the detecon window is facing away

from you.

b. Press the “S” buon of the remote control unl you hear one of the

DingDong”-sounds.

c. Press the Acvaon buon on the remote control to acvate the X4 Siren.

You hear a short beep accompanied by one short red ﬂash of the detecon

window.

d. Wave your hand approximately 50 cenmeters in front of the detecon

window of the X4. You hear a “DingDong”-sound and the detecon window

of the X4 will light up.

e. Press the Deacvaon buon on the remote control to deacvate the X4

Siren. You hear 2 short beeps accompanied by 2 short red ﬂashes of the

detecon window.

If you purchased a single X4 moon sensor alarm your test stops here. You can

now install your system using the instrucons in this manual.

Please connue if you purchased a X4 moon sensor alarm kit:

f. Arrange the window sensors such that the magnet is on the right-hand side

of each sensor. The lile triangles on the middle of the sides of the sensor

and the magnet cannot be more than 8 mm apart. Posion them so that

they are facing each other.

f. Press the Acvaon buon on the remote control to acvate the X4 Siren.

You hear a short beep accompanied by one short red ﬂash of the detecon

window.

h. Now move the magnet away from the ﬁrst sensor. You hear the “DingDong”

-sound and the red light on the sensor will light up. Repeat this procedure

for all other window sensors.

3. Familiarize Yourself with Your System:

Now, mount the X4 Siren and window sensors following the instrucons in the

manual.

The X4 alarm unit should always be mounted using the two included screws.

Please note: We strongly advise against using any double sided scky mounng

material.

We advise to install the device at a height of approximately 2 meters, while

taking the below recommendaons into account:

be in the same state (acvated or deacvated) as it was when it was switched oﬀ.

Deacvang the system

Press the Deacvaon buon on the remote control.

You will hear two beeps as a conﬁrmaon that the system is deacvated.

When the siren alarm sounds

When the X4 PIR sensor or external sensors trigger an alarm in siren mode, the

alarm will sound for 2 minutes. Aer that, the siren stops and the X4 returns

into acvated mode again automacally. The siren can, of course, be stopped

at any me with the remote control or on the X4 unit itself.

Stopping an alarm

The alarm can be stopped at any me. There are two ways to stop the alarm.

Stop the alarm by short pressing the Deacvaon buon on the remote control.

Alternavely, you can also stop the alarm on the X4 alarm unit by entering the

following buon combinaon: 3 consecuve quick presses of the

Loudspeaker-buon followed by a quick press of the SET-buon.

IMPORTANT: Changes to the X4 siren sengs can only be performed when the

X4 is in deacvated mode. If you try to make changes to the X4 while the

system is in acvated mode, you will hear three beeps as a refusal sound.

Choosing “DingDong” or Siren sound

In deacvated mode, short press the Melody-buon on the X4 siren or the

S-buon on the remote control to switch between “DingDong”-sounds and

siren sound. The order of the sounds is Low volume “DingDong” – High volume

“DingDong” – Siren (120dB). A short example of the sound will be played each

me the sound type is changed.

Arming the system

Press the Acvaon buon on the remote control. You will hear one beep as a

conﬁrmaon that the system has been acvated.

4. Installing your system

Daily use of your alarm system

The moon detector should not face a window or an area where heat

diﬀerences can occur like radiators, open windows, ﬁreplaces, air condions.

Furthermore, avoid direct or indirect sunlight. Even if the ﬂoor reﬂects

sunlight, it can aﬀect the sensor.

Therefore, we recommend installing the moon detector in a corner that is

void from any of those factors menoned above, and where the sensor looks

into the room you want to guard.

Once all components are mounted, acvate the system: Select the “S” buon

on the remote control to choose the loud siren sound. Now, to acvate your

system, press the Acvaon buon on the remote control.

Switch On/Oﬀ

Press the SET-buon on the X4 for 5 seconds to switch the unit on or oﬀ. When

switching on you will hear one short beep accompanied with a short ﬂash of

the detecon window. When switching the X4 oﬀ, you will hear one long beep

and the detecon window will ﬂash longer. When the X4 is switched on, it will

Expanding your system

The X4 system can be expanded with more iwee door sensors and moon

detectors from the Tiiwee Home Alarm System. Up to 20 sensors can be

connected to the each of the zones. Also, up to 20 remote controls can be

connected.

Please note: You cannot add addional X4 sirens or other sirens to your system.

Please only use accessories from the Tiiwee Home Alarm System to ensure a

proper funcon of the system.

Connecng PIR Moon Detectors

Proceed as described with the door sensors in the previous chapter. However,

triggering the device is done by moving your hand in front of the moon

detector. When performing the pairing procedure, make sure the moon

detector is facing away from you to avoid unwanted signals from the device

while pairing it to the X4 Siren.

Connecng remote controls

Up to 20 remote controls can be connected to the X4 siren.

Connecng addional alarm sensors to a Normal zone

Connecng sensors to an Emergency-zone

IMPORTANT: An emergency sensor will always trigger a loud siren alarm

regardless of if the X4 is acvated or deacvated.

Connecng sensors to a Doorbell zone

IMPORTANT: A doorbell sensor will never trigger a loud siren alarm. This

sensor will always trigger a “DingDong”-sound.

■ Deacvate the X4 siren by pressing the Deacvaon buon on the remote

control.

■ Press the Loudspeaker-buon for 5 seconds. You will hear a beep and the

detecon window lights up.

■ Acvate the door sensor by removing the magnet away from the sensor.

You will hear two beeps, and the detecon window will blink twice.

■ Save the seng by pressing the SET-buon brieﬂy.

■ The door sensor has now been connected as an ordinary alarm sensor.

■ Deacvate the X4 siren by pressing the Deacvaon buon on the remote

control.

■ Press the Melody-buon for 5 seconds. You will hear a beep and the

detecon window lights up.

■ Acvate the door sensor by removing the magnet away from the sensor.

You will hear two beeps, and the detecon window will blink twice.

■ Save the seng by pressing the SET-buon brieﬂy.

■ The door sensor has now been connected as an emergency sensor.

■ Deacvate the X4 siren by pressing the Deacvaon buon on the remote

control.

■ Press the Loudspeaker-buon and Melody-buon together for 5 seconds.

You will hear a beep and the detecon window lights up.

■ Acvate the door sensor by removing the magnet away from the sensor.

You will hear two beeps, and the detecon window will blink twice.

■ Save the seng by pressing the SET-buon brieﬂy.

■ The door sensor has now been connected as a doorbell sensor.

Pairing remote controls

■ Deacvate the X4 siren by pressing the Deacvaon buon on the remote

control.

Switching the red alarm light on or oﬀ

The X4 features a red alarm light. When the alarm is sounding or a moon is

detected the red light will ﬂash. However, in certain situaons it might be

required to only have the siren sound and to have the red light switched oﬀ.

The red alarm light can be switched oﬀ, by simultanously pressing both the

Melody-buon and the SET-buon for 5 seconds. You will hear one beep as a

conﬁrmaon of the new seng. The red alarm light can be switched on again

by repeang the same procedure.

Deleng sensors from the Normal zone

IMPORTANT: With this procedure, all sensors are disconnected from the respecve

zone. Reconnect any sensors you would like to keep in that zone. Please note that

also all remote controls are disconnected with this procedure.

Replace all baeries immediately when this happens.

Disconnecng remote controls

IMPORTANT: With this procedure, all remote controls are disconnected as well

as all the sensors in a Normal zone. Please make sure to reconnect the remote

controls and sensors you wish to connue to use with the X4 siren.

Deleng sensors from an Emergency-zone

IMPORTANT: With this procedure, all sensors are disconnected from the

respecve zone. Reconnect any sensors you would like to keep in that zone.

Deleng sensors from a Doorbell zone

IMPORTANT: With this procedure, all sensors are disconnected from the

respecve zone. Reconnect any sensors you would like to keep in that zone.

■ Deacvate the X4 siren by pressing the Deacvaon buon on the remote

control.

■ Press the Loudspeaker-buon for 5 seconds. You will hear a beep and the

detecon window lights up.

■ Press the Loudspeaker-buon again for 5 seconds. You will hear 5 beeps

as a conﬁrmaon and the detecon window will ﬂash 5 mes.

■ All sensor have been removed from the ordinary zone.

■ Deacvate the X4 siren by pressing the SET-buon on the X4 or the

Deacvaon buon on the remote control.

■ Press the Loudspeaker-buon for 5 seconds. You will hear a beep and the

detecon window lights up.

■ Press the Loudspeaker-buon again for 5 seconds. You will hear 5 beeps

as a conﬁrmaon and the detecon window will ﬂash 5 mes.

■ All remote controls habe been removed from the X4.

■ Disacvate the X4 siren by pressing the Deacvaon buon on the remote

control.

■ Press the Melody-buon for 5 seconds. You will hear a beep and the

detecon window lights up.

■ Press the Melody-buon again for 5 seconds. You will hear 5 beeps as a

conﬁrmaon and the detecon window will ﬂash 5 mes.

■ All sensor have been removed from the emergency-zone.

■ Deacvate the X4 siren by pressing the Deacvaon buon on the remote

control.

X4 Siren: You will hear 3 beeps every 20 seconds.

Door sensors: The red LED of the sensor will show a connuous light.

PIR moon sensors: The indicator light in the front is lit connuously. When the

indicator light has been switched oﬀ manually, the low baery indicaon will

not be shown.

Remote control: The baery can be changed by removing the screw on the back

of the remote control. Open the remote control and remove the second screw

on the electronic board. This will give you access to the other side of the

electronic board, where the baery is located. The baery type is CR2032 (3V,

Lithium baery).

X4 Alarm unit: Remove the back panel and replace the baeries with 3x AA size

1.5V alkaline baeries. Do not use rechargeable baeries.

■ Press the Loudspeaker-buon and Melody-buon simultanoulsy for 5

seconds. You will hear a beep and the detecon window lights up.

■ Press the Loudspeaker-buon and Melody-buon simultanously again for

5 seconds. You will hear 5 beeps as a conﬁrmaon and the detecon

window will ﬂash 5 mes.

■ All sensor have been removed from the doorbell zone.

■ Press the Loudspeaker-buon for 5 seconds. You will hear a beep and the

detecon window lights up.

■ Press one (any) buon on the remote control(s) which you wish to

connect. You will hear two beeps for conﬁrmaon of correct pairing.

■ Press the SET-buon shortly to store the sengs

■ The remote control has now been connected to the X4 siren.

Door sensors:

■ Place a screwdriver or knife in the opening at

the boom (Image) and use it as a lever to li

the case from the back plate.

■ Take out the old baery and replace it with a

fresh 12V/23A alkaline baery - please note the

correct polarity.

■ Put the baery cover back in place and push it

unl you hear a click.

PIR Moon detectors: Slide oﬀ the back plate and replace the baeries with

2 x AAA or 3x AAA baeries depending on the model you use.

This procedure will erase all informaon from the X4 siren which is related to

sensors and remote controls.

Technical speciﬁcaons of the X4

■ Take out one baery from the X4.

■ While keeping the Melody-buon pressed, re-insert the baery. Connue

to press the Melody-buon.

■ Aer a few seconds, you will hear 10 beeps with longer intervals followed

by another 5 beeps with shorter intervals.

■ Now, release the Melody-buon.

■ The X4 restarts automacally.

■ Your X4 Siren is now reset to factory sengs. You can reconnect your

remote controls and sensors.

Window & door sensors

IMPORTANT: Please assure that the distance between magnet and sensor does

not exceed 8 mm.

Installaon of Door sensors

Product Overview and Operaon

The door sensor consists of a magnet and a sensor which contains a detector

for changes in magnec ﬁelds (‘ﬂux’). When the magnet is moved away from

the sensor, the sensor will detect that moon and will send a wireless signal to

the Tiiwee Alarm unit. The Tiiwee Alarm unit will now emit a powerful alarm

sound or a doorbell-sound depending on the sengs of the Alarm unit.

Installaon examples

Various installaon examples are shown on the ﬁrst page of this manual. Make

sure that both the installaon surfaces are clean and free from grease and dust.

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

● Do not install the sensor near magnec parts - that might trigger the alarm

by accident.

● Clean all surfaces before installaon.

● It is essenal that the sensor and the magnet are placed on the door and

frame respecvely to allow an alarm to be triggered when the sensor and

magnet are separated.

● Installaon with screws: Using a small

screwdriver or the p of a small knife, remove

the cover from the magnet by liing the cover.

Then, posion the magnet at the desired

posion. Now, reposion the cover carefully

on the magnet making sure not to damage the

small clips.

● Installaon with double-sided tape: peel oﬀ

the protecve foil from one side and sck the

tape onto the magnet. Then, peel oﬀ the

other part of the protecve foil and sck the

magnet onto the door or doorpost.

● Sideways installaon and installaon with double-sided tape: Peel oﬀ the

protecve foil from one side of the tape and sck the tape onto the sensor.

Then, peel oﬀ the other part of the protecve foil and sck the sensor onto

the door or doorpost.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE:

● It is essenal that the sensor and magnet are aligned correctly.

● The distance between the sensor and the magnet should not exceed 8mm.

Before installing the sensor, please assure that both the magnet and sensor will

be aligned as described in the chapter “How to mount a door sensor”.

Avoid posions close to a window, air condioners, ﬂuorescent lights, heaters,

refrigerators, stoves, and direct sunlight and other places where the

temperature would change rapidly, and air ﬂow is high. If there are two

detectors in the same detecng range, please adjust the posion to avoid

interference and false alarms.

Unlike magnec door and window sensors, PIR moon sensors recognize heat

diﬀerences. Somemes heat diﬀerences are unnoceable. Our PIR moon

sensors feature advanced algorithms that help to detect the diﬀerence

between a human being and environmental heat changes. However, it is

essenal to carefully select the right posion of PIR moon sensors for it to

properly funcon. Here are a few recommendaons:

1. Aer the installaon, turn the switch to ON. Now, walk or move in front of

the PIR sensor at a distance between 3 and 6 meters.

Therefore, we recommend installing the moon detector in a corner that is void

from any of those factors menoned above, and where the sensor looks into

the room you want to guard.

Open the back panel to insert the baeries. Please respect the correct polarity.

Now, close the back panel again. Slide the ball joint in place unl it locks in

place. Then, aach the wall mount on the ball joint. Your PIR sensor is now

ready to be installed on the mount.

Aach the detector to the bracket, and change the detecng angle and distance

by adjusng the installaon height and the bracket. It is advised to install the

device at a height of approximately 2 meters.

General installaon guidelines

How to mount a PIR moon sensor

Test

IMPORTANT: The Infrared detector is sensive to a human’s horizontal movement.

The detector is less suscepble to vercal movements. Therefore, it is advised

to aim the device at a 90 degrees’ angle to a person’s walking direcon.

2. The Indicator light should light up once. Note the 5 seconds delay between 2

signals. The delay is normal and intenonal to save baery power.

3. If needed, adjust the detector angle to get the desired detecon range.

When the detector indicator ﬂashes

● LED ﬂashes once: A signal is detected, and the detector sends a signal to

the alarm unit.

● LED connuously on: Low-voltage indicaon, please change the baery as

soon as possible.

The Tiiwee PIR sensor is equipped with some addional features to allow you

to adjust the device to your speciﬁc needs. To access these funcons, remove

the screw at the top of the sensor. Then separate the two parts (front and back

piece) by using an appropriate device (screwdriver, i.e.). Now you can see the

circuit board with the two switches.

1. The Indicator light can be switched oﬀ to save baery power (“Led oﬀ”

posion). Oﬀ course, in this mode, an alarm signal will sll be sent to the

Alarm Unit or the PIR Moon Sensor Alarm. However, please note that the

low baery indicaon is switched oﬀ in this seng.

2. A waing me of 5 minutes between detecons can be set saving baery

power (“5 Min” or “5s” switch). Use the 5-minute waing period when your

PIR sensor is meant to result in a loud siren alarm. We do not advise to use

this mode in combinaon with the doorbell-sound seng on your Alarm unit.
