Congratulaons with your new X3 Tiiwee Alarm Kit. The Tiiwee Alarm Kit is a

versale alarm system that helps to detect if people or animals are entering your

home or shop. The X3 allows you to use several sensors in up to 4 diﬀerent zones.

These sensors (PIR Moon Sensors, Window/Door sensors) are wirelessly

connected to an alarm unit ("X3"). This alarm unit produces a “DingDong”-sound

or a loud siren. The alarm unit can be placed on a ﬁxed posion or taken with

you as you move around the house or if you go to sleep.

Features of the X3 alarm system

Principle of the X3 alarm system

The Tiiwee X3 Home Alarm System is designed primarily to create a loud siren

alarm sound when a burglar is trying to enter your home. The basis of the

system is the X3 Siren. Place the siren in your home at a posion where

burglars are most likely to enter.

No remote control needed

The X3 alarm system does not require a remote control. All operaons are carried

out on the X3 alarm unit itself. The X3 alarm unit is always on - regardless of if

in deacvated or in acvated mode.

2 zone-types

The X3 features 4 zones - 3 “Normal”-alarm zones and 1 “Welcome”-zone. You

can connect up to 10 sensors per each zone.

The X3 alarm can be used in 2 modes:

The system is ready for use. Your system is preconﬁgured, and the window

sensors are connected to zone 1 on the X3 alarm unit. If a PIR moon sensor is

included, it is connected to zone 2. We advise to read this user manual carefully

and to familiarize yourself with its basic operang principle and ways to ﬁne-tune

the alarm system to your exact needs.

In acvated mode all sensors will trigger a loud siren alarm.

1. “Normal”-zones - sensors in this zone will trigger a loud 120 dB siren when

the X3 is acvated.

2. “Welcome”-zone - sensor connected in this zone will trigger a “DingDong”

-sound in deacvated mode and a loud siren alarm in acvated mode. The

“DingDong”-sound can be adjusted to a low or a high volume.

1. “Home”-mode: You are at home and want the system to be guarding your

home immediately when you acvate it. If a sensor is triggered, the siren

will sound immediately without any delay.

2. “Away””-mode: You leave your home and you want the system to respect a

20 second delay before acvang itself. This allows you to press the

Acvaon-buon and leave the house before the system starts guarding

your home. Upon your return, the system will delay its siren 15 seconds

which allows you to deacvate the system with your 4-digit code.

1. Unpack:

Unpack all kit components and lay them in front of you on the table.

2.Remove Baery Protecon:

X3 Siren: Open the back panel from the

X3 Siren and remove the white baery

protecon.

3. Familiarize Yourself with Your System:

Window sensors: Pull out the white baery protecon at the back of the sensor.

Moon detector (if included): Insert baeries (included with the product).

Please assure correct polarity.

a. Arrange the window sensors such that the magnet is on the right-hand side

of each sensor. The lile triangles on the middle of the sides of the sensor

and the magnet cannot be more than 8 mm apart. Posion them so that

they are facing each other.

b. Slide the Home/Away buon into the “Home” posion ( ) and press the

Acvaon-buon ( ) . You will hear one beep and the zone LEDs will

ﬂash once.

c. Cover the siren outlet of the X3 with you hand in order to reduce the siren

sound during the funconal test.

e. Moon detector (PIR kits only): Wave your hand approximately 50 cenmeters

in front of the moon detector. You hear the siren sound and the red light

on the sensor will light up. Stop the siren alarm by entering the preset

4-digit code 1-2-3-4 on the keypad. The siren will stop and you will hear 2

beeps and the LEDs will ﬂash twice.

Repeat this procedure for all other window sensors by, one by one,

removing all magnets from their sensors.

d. Now move the magnet away from the

ﬁrst sensor. You hear the siren sound

and the red light on the sensor will light

up. Stop the siren alarm by entering the

preset 4-digit code 1-2-3-4 on the

keypad. The siren will stop and you will

hear 2 beeps and the LEDs will ﬂash twice.

Posion the moon detector with the detecon window facing away from

you (to avoid that it detects anything)

Disarm the X3 Siren entering the 4-digit code 1-2-3-4 on the keypad.

Before installing the X3 siren you may want to change the preset 4-digit code

into your own personal 4-digit code. Please refer to the secon "Changing

the 4-digit code" in this manual. Now, mount the X3 Siren and window sensors

following the instrucons in the manual.

How to mount the X3 alarm unit

Mount the X3 alarm unit with the included scky pads or the two included

screws. First, install the back plate to the wall. Posion the X3 unit onto the

back plate and secure it to the backplate with the screw at the boom.

The X3 alarm unit is always switched on - either in deacvated or in acvated

mode.

The X3 alarm unit features 2 diﬀerent alarm modes. These are a “Home” mode

and an “Away” mode. The 2 modes can be selected with the Home/Away buon.

Acvang the system in “Home” mode

Slide the Home/Away buon into the “Home” posion ( ) and press the

Acvaon-buon. You will hear one beep and the zone LEDs will ﬂash once.

Acvaon indicator light

The X3 features an indicator light when the unit is acvated. The LED of zone 4

ﬂashes every 5 seconds to indicate the acvated status.

To switch oﬀ the indicator light , whilst in acvated mode, press the ( )

buon for 5 seconds. You will hear one beep, and the indicator light is switched

oﬀ. To switch on the indicator light again, repeat the above-described procedure.

Disarming the system in “Home” mode

The system can only be deacvated by using your personal 4-digit passcode.

Enter your 4-digit passcode. You will hear 2 beeps and the zone LEDs will ﬂash

twice as a conﬁrmaon of deacvaon.

Deacvang the system in “Away” mode

The system can only be deacvated by using your personal 4-digit passcode.

When you open the door the front door sensor will trigger a silent alarm on

the X3 unit which is indicated by beeps and the blinking of the zone LED where

the front door sensor is connected to. You now have 15 seconds to deacvate

the X3 unit by entering your personal 4-digit passcode. You will hear 2 beeps

and the zone LEDs will ﬂash twice as a conﬁrmaon of deacvaon. If no 4-digit

passcode or the wrong 4-digit passcode is entered there will be a loud siren

alarm aer the 15 seconds of disarm delay.

Daily use of your alarm system

1. The “Home” mode should be used when you are home. If a sen sor

triggers an alarm in the “Home” alarm mode the siren will sound immediately.

2. If you arm the system in the “Away” mode there will be a delay of 20

seconds before the system is acvated. This delay allows you to leave your

home and close the door without triggering an alarm. On you return you will

have 15 seconds delay to deacvate the system with your personal 4-digit

code. The deacvaon delay is indicated by beeps.

Slide the buon into the “Away” posion ( ). The acvaon countdown of 20

seconds will start immediately. This is indicated by a blinking of the zone LEDs.

Please use the 20 seconds to leave your home and close the door. There will be

one beep aer the 20 seconds countdown to indicate that the X3 is now acvated.

If the Home/Away buon is in the “Away” posion

Short press the Acvaon-buon once. The acvaon countdown of 20 seconds

will start immediately. This is indicated by a blinking of the zone LEDs. Use the

20 seconds to leave your home and close the door. There will be one beep aer

the 20 seconds countdown to indicate that the X3 is now acvated.

“DingDong”-sound or siren sound

IMPORTANT: Please note that the sound of the X3 alarm unit, 120dB siren or

“DingDong”, is deﬁned by the zone and by the mode of the X3 (acvated

mode or deacvated mode). Please refer to the below table.

The X3 can be used as a noﬁcaon device under the following conﬁons: the

noﬁcaon sensor is connected in zone 4 and the X3 is in deacvated mode.

Changing the 4-digit passcode

Expanding your system

When a sensor triggers an alarm in siren mode, the alarm sounds for 2 minutes.

Then, the siren stops and the X3 siren returns into acvated mode again

automacally. The siren can also be stopped at any me by entering the

personal 4-digit code. During an alarm, the LED of the respecve zone lights up

unl the alarm is switched oﬀ.

Please only use accessories from the Tiiwee Home Alarm System to ensure a

proper funcon of the system.

This is an example for connecng a door sensor to zone 2:

Proceed as described with the door sensors in the previous chapter. However,

acvaon of the device is done by moving your hand in front of the moon

detector. When performing the pairing procedure, make sure the moon

detector is facing away from you to avoid unwanted signals from the device

whilst pairing it to the X3 Siren.

Expand the X3 system with Tiiwee door sensors and moon detectors from the

Tiiwee Home Alarm System. It is possible to connect up to 10 Sensors per zone.

For the “Welcome”-zone, you can select a low volume or a high volume “DingDong”

-sound by using the “DingDong”-sound volume buon.

■ Now, enter the new 4 digit code. You will hear a long beep indicang that

the code was accepted - if no new code is entered within 20 seconds you

will hear 2 long beeps and the X3 will exit the code change mode.

■ Now press the Acvaon-buon to conﬁrm the new code. You will hear a

long beep as a conﬁrmaon that the new code was stored - if the

Acvaon-buon is not pressed within 20 seconds you will hear 2 long

beeps and the X3 will exit the code change mode without storing it.

■ Remove the X3 back plate and remove one baery.

■ Press one of the mulfunconal keypad buons (1,2,3 or 4) and keep it

pressed. Now insert the baery whilst keeping the buon

pressed. You will hear 6 long beeps followed by 6 short beeps.

■ Now, release the buon - all 4 LEDs are lit.

■ Deacvate the X3 siren by entering your personal 4-digit passcode.

■ Press buon "2" for 5 seconds. You will hear a beep and the LED of zone 2

lights up.

■ Acvate the door sensor by moving the magnet away from the sensor.

You will hear two beeps, and the LED of zone 2 will blink twice.

■ Safe the seng by pressing the buon "2" brieﬂy again.

■ The door sensor has now been connected to zone 2.

Please note: You cannot add addional X3 sirens or other sirens to your system.

The factory 4-digit passcode is set to “1-2-3-4”. However, you can change your

4-digit passcode to any other 4-digit number:

Now, connect the door sensor to zone 1:

The door sensor has now been removed from zone 3 and re-connected to

zone 1.

Changing the zone for a sensor

Please note that with this procedure, all sensors from a zone are deleted and

re-connected to the new zone(s).

This is an example for deleng the door sensor from zone 3 and connecng this

door sensor to zone 1:

X3 Alarm unit: Slide oﬀ the back panel and replace the baeries with 3x AA

size 1.5V alkaline baeries. Do not use rechargable baeries.

This procedure will erase all accessory informaon from the X3 siren.

Furthermore, the 4-digit passcodewill be reset to “1-2-3-4”.

IMPORTANT: Please assure that the distance between magnet and sensor does

not exceed 8 mm.

Product Overview and Operaon

The door sensor consists of a magnet and a sensor which contains a detector

for changes in magnec ﬁelds (‘ﬂux’). When the magnet is moved away from

the sensor, the sensor will detect that moon and will send a wireless signal to

the Tiiwee Alarm unit. The Tiiwee Alarm unit will now emit a powerful alarm

sound or a doorbell-sound depending on the sengs of the Alarm unit.

Your X3 Siren is now reset to factory sengs. You can reconnect your sensors.

PIR Moon detectors: Slide oﬀ the backpanel and replace the baeries with

AAA alkaline baeries depending on the model you use. Do not use

rechargable baeries.

Replace all baeries immediately when this happens.

■ Deacvate the X3 siren by entering your personal 4-digit code.

■ Deleng all sensors from zone 3:

■ Press buon "3" for connously for 5 seconds. You will hear a beep and

the LED of zone 3 lights up.

■ Press the buon "3" again connously for 5 seconds. This will delete all

sensors from zone 3. You will hear 4 beeps as a conﬁrmaon and the LED

will blink 4 mes.

■ Place a screwdriver or knife in the opening at the boom and use it as a

lever to li the case from the back plate.

■ Take out the old baery and replace it with a fresh 12V/23A alkaline

baery - please note the correct polarity.

■ Put the baery cover back in place and push it unl you hear a click.

■ Remove one baery from the X3.

■ Whilst keeping the Acvaon-buon pressed, re-insert the baery.

■ Aer a few seconds, you will hear 10 beeps with longer intervals followed

by another 10 beeps with shorter intervals.

■ Now, release the Acvaon-buon.

■ The X3 restarts automacally.

■ Press buon "1" connously for 5 seconds. You will hear a beep and the

LED of zone 1 lights up.

■ Acvate the door sensor by moving the magnet away from the sensor.

You will hear two beeps, and the LED of zone 1 will blink twice.

■ Safe the seng by pressing the buon "1" brieﬂy again.

Low baery indicators - lights and sounds

X3 Siren: You will hear 3 beeps every 20 seconds.

Door sensors: The red LED of the sensor will show a connuous light.

PIR moon sensors: The indicator light in the front is lit connously. When the

indicator light has been switched oﬀ manually the low baery indicaon will

not be shown.

Various installaon examples are shown on the ﬁrst page of this manual.

Make sure that both the installaon surfaces are clean and free from grease

and dust.

Before installing the sensor, please assure that both the magnet and sensor will

be aligned as described in the chapter “How to mount a door sensor”.

GENERAL GUIDELINES: Magnet:

● Do not install the sensor near magnec parts - that might trigger the alarm

by accident.

● Clean all surfaces before installaon.

● It is essenal that the sensor and the magnet are placed on the door and

frame respecvely to allow an alarm to be triggered when the sensor and

magnet are separated.

● Installaon with screws: Using a small

screwdriver or the p of a small knife, remove

the cover from the magnet by liing the cover.

Then, posion the magnet at the desired

posion. Now, reposion the cover carefully

on the magnet making sure not to damage

the small clips.

● Installaon with double-sided tape: peel oﬀ

the protecve foil from one side and sck

the tape onto the magnet. Then, peel oﬀ

the other part of the protecve foil and sck

the magnet onto the door or doorpost.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE:

● It is essenal that the sensor and magnet are aligned correctly.

● The distance between the sensor and the magnet should not exceed 8mm.

● Sideways installaon and installaon with double-sided tape: Peel oﬀ the

protecve foil from one side of the tape and sck the tape onto the sensor.

Then, peel oﬀ the other part of the protecve foil and sck the sensor onto

the door or doorpost.

● Installaon with screws: Using a small screwdriver or the p of a small knife,

remove the cover from the sensor by liing the cover. Then, posion the

sensor at the desired posion. Now, reposion the cover carefully on the

sensor, making sure not to damage the clips.

1. Aer the installaon, open the window or door.

2. The red indicator light on the front of the sensor will ﬂash once.

3. The sensor is now correctly setup.

Avoid posions close to a window, air condioners, ﬂuorescent lights, heaters,

refrigerators, stoves, and direct sunlight and other places where the

temperature would change rapidly, and air ﬂow is high. If there are two

detectors in the same detecng range, please adjust the posion to avoid

interference and false alarms.

Unlike magnec door and window sensors, PIR moon sensors recognize heat

diﬀerences. Somemes heat diﬀerences are unnoceable. Our PIR moon

sensors feature advanced algorithms that help to detect the diﬀerence

between a human being and environmental heat changes. However, it is

essenal to carefully select the right posion of PIR moon sensors for it to

properly funcon. Here are a few recommendaons:

1. Aer the installaon, turn the switch to ON. Now, walk or move in front of

the PIR sensor at a distance between 3 and 6 meters.

2. The Indicator light should light up once. Note the 5 seconds delay between 2

signals. The delay is normal and intenonal to save baery power.

3. If needed, adjust the detector angle to get the desired detecon range.

Therefore, we recommend installing the moon detector in a corner that is void

from any of those factors menoned above, and where the sensor looks into

the room you want to guard.

Open the back panel to insert the baeries. Please respect the correct polarity.

Now, close the back panel again. Slide the ball joint in place unl it locks in

place. Then, aach the wall mount on the ball joint. Your PIR sensor is now

ready to be installed on the mount.

Aach the detector to the bracket, and change the detecng angle and distance

by adjusng the installaon height and the bracket. It is advised to install the

device at a height of approximately 2 meters.

IMPORTANT: The Infrared detector is sensive to a human’s horizontal movement.

The detector is less suscepble to vercal movements. Therefore, it is advised

to aim the device at a 90 degrees’ angle to a person’s walking direcon.

When the detector indicator ﬂashes

● LED ﬂashes once: A signal is detected, and the detector sends a signal to

the alarm unit.

● LED connuously on: Low-voltage indicaon, please change the baery as

soon as possible.

The Tiiwee PIR sensor is equipped with some addional features to allow you

to adjust the device to your speciﬁc needs. To access these funcons, remove

the screw at the top of the sensor. Then separate the two parts (front and back

piece) by using an appropriate device (screwdriver, i.e.). Now you can see the

circuit board with the two switches.

The factory sengs are “5s” and “Led On”. The sensor will respect a 5-seconds

waing me between 2 signals and that the LED indicator light will always ﬂash

if a movement is detected. These are the most commonly used sengs.

1. The Indicator light can be switched oﬀ to save baery power (“Led oﬀ”

posion). Oﬀ course, in this mode, an alarm signal will sll be sent to the

Alarm Unit or the PIR Moon Sensor Alarm. However, please note that the

low baery indicaon is switched oﬀ in this seng.

2. A waing me of 5 minutes between detecons can be set saving baery

power (“5 Min” or “5s” switch). Use the 5-minute waing period when your

PIR sensor is meant to result in a loud siren alarm. We do not advise to use

this mode in combinaon with the doorbell-sound seng on your Alarm unit.

Advanced features

Sengs

1. If both switches are set to the ON posion, as shown in picture 1, the LED will

ﬂash each me a movement is detected. Aer each signal, a waing me of 5

seconds is set as a standard to allow a person to pass the detector without

triggering a signal connuously.

2. If the top switch is set to “Oﬀ”, the detector will respect a 5-minute delay

before it will become acve again. This is a power saving mode. A doorbell-sound

sound seng on the Alarm unit is not advised with this delay.

3. If the lower switch is set to “Oﬀ”, the Led light will not ﬂash each me a

signal is detected. This seng saves baery power.

4. If both switches are in the “Oﬀ” posion, as shown in Figure 2, the PIR sensor

will respect a 5-minute interval between 2 diﬀerent signals, nor will the LED

window ﬂash.

Low-voltage Reminder Funcon: The indicator light will be connuously on

when the voltage of the PIR is lower than 2.4V unless its light has been switched

oﬀ by seng the internal switches.
