InthismanualyouwillndtheinstallationinstructionsfortheClickFitEVOmountingsystemforsolarpanelsonslateroofs.
Thesystemissuitableformountingsolarpanelsinportraitandlandscapeorientation.
Theseinstructionsareaddressedatqualiedtechnicalpersonnel.

IntheEsdecClickFitEVOSeriesfunctionalbondingisachievedthroughtheEVOuniversalmoduleclampforthemodule
framesandEVOrails.Thenalfunctionalbondingconnectionismadebypropermountingofaseparatebondingcableonto
theEVOrailandanadequatebondingconnectionwiththeinverterorearthingcontact.

TheClickFitEVOmountingsystemisdesignedformountingsolarpanelsonslateroofs.Withthismountingsystem,solar
panelscanbepositionedontheroofeitherwiththeshortsideatthebottom(portrait)orwiththelongsideatthebottom
(landscape).
IMPROPER USE
Themountingsystemisnotsuitableforuseontypesofroofotherthantheonespecied.

4Dependingontheroofandtheresultobtainedfromthecalculator,youcanlayseveralsegmentswithsolarpanelsnextto
eachother.Alwaysleaveaminimumof12mmofspacebetweensegmentstoallowforexpansionoftheroof.

INSTALLATION
1 PREPARATION
1 INSPECT THE ROOF.
Theroofisingoodcondition.
Theroofconstructionhassucientbearingcapacitytosupporttheinstallation,takingintoaccountwindandsnow
loads.
3ToensurethesafeandecientinstallationofPVsystemsonslateroofs,theworkshouldbecarriedoutbyprofessional
slateroofers.Beforeundertakinganyworkontheroof,athoroughinspectionmustbeconductedtoassesstheroof
condition.

2 CHECK THE PROJECT PLAN AND COMPONENTS.
Checktheprojectplan.Istherenoprojectplan?Thencreateoneintheonlinecalculatorbeforestartinginstallation.
Checkthatallcomponentsarepresent(page5).
Determinethepositionoftheslateroofhooks.Usethebattensortrussesifpresent.

6Considerthe(local)reregulationsforphotovoltaicinstallations.Tomitigatetheriskofrespread,there
compartmentsoftheobjectmustberespected.ThePVsystemshouldnotbeplacedoverrepartitionwallsanda
minimumdistanceof30cmmustbekept.Likewise,itiswisetokeepspaceinrelationtoskylights,lightingglobes,
cornersandpotentialrehazards.
4Takeintoaccountsunlightandshadeoverthewholeyear.Ifnecessary,useapoweroptimizerormicroinvertertoget
themostoutofyourinstallation.
3Thedistancefromtheedgeofsolarpanelstoboththeridgeandtheguttermustbeatleast30cm.

6 DRAW THE LINES AND END POINTS FOR THE MOUNTING RAILS
a. Formountinginportraitorientation,markthelineswherethemountingrailswillbeplaced:at¼fromthepaneltop
edge and panel bottom edge.
b.Formountinginlandscapeorientation,markthelineswherethemountingrailswillbeplaced:at¼ofthepanelside
edges.
7 MARK THE POSITION OF THE SLATE ROOF HOOKS
4Consulttheprojectplantodeterminethepositionoftheslateroofhooksforyourproject.

4Iftheoverhangissmallerthan250mm,keepaminimumof20mmtoamaximumof35mmraillengthoverhangfor
mountingtheendcap(art.no.1008060(-B)).
4Measurethesolarpanelsandallowanadditional12mmbetweeneachsolarpanelfortheuniversalmoduleclamp.
Allowanadditional30mmoneachsideformountingtheendclampandendcap.
4Calculatetheminimumlengthofthemountingrails:(panelsize+12mm)xnumberofpanels-12mm+(2x30mm)
