Installation
Before installation/maintenance, ensure both tractor and
attachment are stationary, with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral
position and the ignition key removed.
1. Position the tractor on at ground, lower the tractor’s 3-point linkage
to its lowest position, then attach the power harrow to the tractor
using the 3-point linkage pins and linch pins.
2. Attach the top linkage arm to the top link point on the power harrow
and tractor. Extend the linkage arm to ensure the power harrow sits
level, and the a frame is vertical.
3. Set the working depth by lifting the tractor’s hydraulic arms to
increase or decrease the blade tine depth as required.
4. Check the PTO shaft’s grease points and apply grease if needed.
Attach the PTO drive shaft, ensure the locking pin is secure on both
the tractor and power harrow sides. Attach the chain to a secure
point on the tractor/power harrow.

7
Operating Instructions
This power harrow is designed for tilling soil and preparing seed beds.
Moisture remains in the soil since the soil is not turned up as it is tilled, and
the vertically rotating cutters prevent soil compaction.
Keep spectators at a safe distance (at least 10m away). Ensure the
working area is clear of large stones/debris so the soil can be tilled
correctly and to prevent damage/premature wear on the blades. A few
small stones will not create diculties.
1. Slowly lower the lift arms to the ground to allow the blades to gradually
cut into the soil. Ensure the lift arms are lowered fully and locked into
position to sustain the working depth of the power harrow. Adjust the
horizontal position of the power harrow using the top linkage arm if
required.
2. Operate the power harrow at a slow speed of 1-3 mph, with the tractor
in a low gear range and the PTO delivering 540 rpm. If struggling on
harder/denser soil types, then lower the speed or raise the working
depth. Adjust the rear mesh roller for a dierent nish.
3. After a few metres, stop and check the result and make any
adjustments. (Adjust the rear mesh roller for a dierent nish). Keep
the worked soil to the driver’s right side.
4. Ensure the power harrow is at a complete standstill before raising it
from the ground during manoeuvres. This will prevent clods of earth/
debris ying o the blades. Always switch o the tractor PTO before a
reverse manoeuvre.
5. Never raise the power harrow more than 25cm from the ground with
the PTO driveline engaged. The maximum angle for the driveline with
the PTO engaged is 20 degrees. A greater angle can cause strong
vibrations and/or damage to the power harrow.
6. Take care if working on sloped areas, work at a slow speed and avoid
wet/slippery soil where the tyres are struggling to grip. Work upwards
or downwards rather than across the gradient to minimise the risk of
overturning. Check the maximum gradient allowance in the tractor’s
manufacturer instructions.

8
Blade Replacement
Take care when handling blades, wear gloves and use suitable tools.
Ensure the power harrow is supported and stable before carrying out
any maintenance.
Each blade carrier has the same directional blade; either 2x left blades or
2x right blades according to whether the carrier spins clockwise or anti-
clockwise. Each blade tine unit comprises of a tine ange, guard plate, two
tines, bearing housing, bearing and connecting elements. The tines are
mounted underneath the guard plate and serve to loosen the soil. They are
secured with bushings, washers, bolts and lock nuts.
1. Remove fastening bolts and nuts (1) - there are 2 bolts per blade.
2. Replace damaged, bent, worn or blunt blades. Ensure the sharp side of
the new blades point in the same direction as the previous ones.
3. Replace the fastening bolts and nuts (1). Check tightness of bolts.

9
Roller Adjustment
Before installation/maintenance, ensure both tractor and attachment
are stationary, with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral position and
the ignition key removed.
Adjust the working depth through the rear roller to suit dierent ground
conditions. For dense/compact areas of soil, set the tiller at a higher setting
to reduce the working depth. Use the power harrow in two or more passes
to increase the working depth if required.
The roller has 7 set holes, with a pin and R-clip holding the roller in place on
either side. Adjust the height by removing pin and R-clip on both sides and
set to desired height.
Remove pin and R-clip (1) on both sides of the roller bracket. Move the
roller into position and align bracket with corresponding hole (2). Replace
pin and R-clip (1) on both sides.

Gearbox Oil Change & Check
Before installation/maintenance, ensure both tractor and attachment
are stationary, with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral position and
the ignition key removed.
Do not mix old and new oils together, or mix dierent oil types. Always
dispose of oils correctly and safely. After use, the attachment should be left
to cool down for 15 minutes before checking oil levels. Ensure the gearbox is
at/level when checking oil levels. Always follow manufacturer’s instructions
for oils and lubricants.
Gear Oil Grade 80w90 gear oil (or equivalent)
Gearbox Oil Level Approx. 1.5 litres to level plug
First Oil Change 120 hours use
Oil Change Frequency 250 hours/yearly (whichever is rst)
Check gear oil by unscrewing and removing ller plug/breather (1). Use a
dipstick or similar to check the oil level and ideally this should be half full.
The gearbox can be topped up using the ller plug on the top of the unit.
Then replace ller plug/breather (1).
Use an oil pump to remove old oil and any debris when changing oil.
