Thank you for choosing Velleman! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If

the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.

2. Safety Instructions

Risk of electrocution. Before use you should always test the voltage detector on a known live

circuit to verify proper operation of the meter

Doubleinsulation

•This meter has been designed with attention to safety, but the user must also take care to respect the

safety prescriptions described below.

•Do not exceed the maximum values for current or voltage measurements.

•Use extreme caution when working with voltages in excess of 25V AC rms. These voltages are considered a

shock hazard.

•Never operate the device if the back panel or the cover of the battery or fuse compartment is not securely

in place.

5.3 Non-contact voltage measurements

Risk of electrocution. Before use you should always test the voltage detector on a known

live circuit to verify proper operation of the meter

1. Hold the probe against the hot conductor or against the hot side of the electrical outlet..

2. The two detector LEDs light up red if an AC voltage is detected.

Notes

•The conductors in an electrical cord are often twisted. Rub the probe tip along a length of cord to be sure

the tip passes in close proximity to the live conductor.

•The detector is a sensitive device. Static electricity or a different energy source may randomly trigger the

sensor at random. This is simply part of the normal operation of this device, it is not a malfunction.

Flashlight

schakelen.

Auto Power OFF
