FIXTURE OPERATION
This secon explains the xture sengs and ulies that the user has access to when us-
ing the control panel. Sengs are retained when the xture is powered o.
The SOLARIS® BASIC 90™ can funcon in dierent modes:
DMX 8 CHANNEL MODE. When operated in DMX 8 channel mode the xture back
screen will show d001 when rst accessed. By seng a value dierent from 001 you can
change the unit’s DMX address according to your lighng setup. Oponal DMX address
values are 1 to 512. When you reach the desired value, press ENTER to save your changes.
HOST \ SLAVE MODE
In this mode, it is possible to link several units together (up to 32) in a way which only the
rst xture acts as a master xture and the rest of the xtures follow accordingly. To select
between ‘the two modes for each xture scroll down by pressing “MENU” unl the back
screen shows “HOST”. to change to slave mode press “ENTER” once and then by using the
up & down buons at the boom of the screen click unl the back screen shows “SLAV”
then press “ENTER” once to save your sengs.
Fixture Grouping By Seng “MEMBERS” - E001 - EO32 - Use this opon to use the x-
tures in the order in which they are connected. simply enter the total number of xtures
used together. for example: if you connect 8 xtures, the value should be EO08 in all the
connected xtures. The rst xture should be set to “HOST” and the rest of the xtures
should be set to “SLAV”.
Fixture Grouping By Seng “LOCATION” - E-01 - E-32 - Use this opon to use the xture
in a parcular order. Simply enter the value for each of the xtures used together. for
example: if you connect 8 xtures, the value should be E-01 in the rst xture E-02 in the
second xture and so on. Every xtures gets its own unique identy within the line. The
rst xture should be set to “HOST” and the rest of the xtures should be set to “SLAV”.
Automac Group Eects - EE01-EE22 - in this secon you can use one of the 22 Eects
Available by seng a value between EE00-EE08 allows you to pick a color eect. by se-
lecng a value between 9-21 you can select dierent macro eects. by selecng EE22 you
can select a scroll eect that would run through EE00-EE21, These eects will react to the
speed master “Host \ Slave Speed”. these eects will operate in all the connected xtures
according to the user setup (Fixture Grouping Members or Fixture grouping Locaon).
Host \ Slave Speed Master (T000-T255) will determine the speed of the eect running in
HOST\SLAVE mode. Using the UP & DOWN buons below the screen, you can control the
change the value. 0 will be no speed and 255 will be full speed, press ENTER once you en-
tered your desired value to save your changes.
STANDALONE MODE which allows you to manually change the parameters of the xture
without using DMX data link. This xture, when used in standalone mode oers

Color Jump Eect (A255) - Select a value between 0-255 by using the UP & DOWN buons
below the screen to control the eect speed of operaon.
Full Color Jump Eect (C255) - Select a value between 0-255 by using the UP & DOWN but-
tons below the screen to control the eect speed of operaon.
Full Color Fade Eect (J255)- Select a value between 0-255 by using the UP & DOWN but-
tons below the screen to control the eect speed of operaon.
Pulse Color Eect (L255)- Select a value between 0-255 by using the UP & DOWN buons
below the screen to control the eect speed of operaon.
Mixed Eect (N255)- Select a value between 0-255 by using the UP & DOWN buons below
the screen to control the eect speed of operaon.
SOUND TO LIGHT MODE oers two dierent ways of controlling the xture using sound
input.
When the back screen shows 1S01 this is the Sound to Strobe mode, and as the name
suggests the xture will strobe according the the sound input captured by its built-in micro-
phone. Selecng a value between 0-255 by using the UP & DOWN buons below the screen
will control the eect speed.
When the back screen shows 2S01 this is the Sound to Color mode, and as the name sug-
gests the xture will change colors according the the sound input captured by its built-in
microphone. Selecng a value between 0-255 by using the UP & DOWN buons below the
screen will control the eect speed.
MANUAL COLOR BLENDING MODE - When operated in this mode the xture back screen
will show either: R000 (Red), G000 (Green), B000 (Blue) or W000 (White) when rst ac-
cessed. By seng a value between 000-255, using the UP & DOWN buons below the
screen, you can control the desired amount of every color (RGBW). When you reach the
desired value, press ENTER to save your changes.
You can also manually control strobe ashing by changing the values when the back screen
shows F000 (strobe) using the UP & DOWN buons below the screen, you can control the
desired strobing speed, when you reach the desired value, press ENTER to save your chang-
es.
