2. General
With the addition of the Square Fold Module to the SDD product range, a cost effective squared spine
solution is available which has a small footprint and is easy to operate. This machine is designed with high
reliability in mind resulting in cost effective operation due to long production with minimal service
requirements.
The Square Fold Module SFM6904, further referred to as SFM, is designed to fit the Booklet Maker system
line as if they were one and is fully modular. This manual specifically describes the installation of the
SFM6904 only (when a complete system line with a Booklet Maker, 2-Side Trimmer & Booklet Trimmer is
already installed).
The SFM is used for squaring the spine off a booklet The folded and stapled center of booklets with a
maximum thickness of 30 sheets of 80 g/m2can be squared resulting in a professional finish. Operating the
SFM and adjusting the settings is achieved via the User Interface (UI) on the BLM.
Installation instructions for the other modules in this line can be found in their respective manuals.

1. Loosen Left and Right cover The Right (Fig. 2) and Left (Fig. 3) cover are secured
inside the SFM with 1 Hexagon M4 bolt [A] (Fig. 1 )
each. Loosen the bolts [A] but do not remove them.
2. Remove Left and Right cover Lift the covers slightly up and swing from the top
outwards to remove them from the machine (Fig. 3 & 4)

Action Remarks
1. Positioning SFM Open the SFM Top cover, loosen and lower the Locking
Bracket [A] (Fig. 6) and position the SFM behind the BLT (Fig.
5).
2. Adjust height SFM Adjust the height of the SFM by turning all wheel bolts [C] with
a 24mm wrench (Fig. 7).
3. Check Fitting Make sure the Positioning Studs [D] of the BLT fit in the
Locking Bracket of the SFM (Fig. 8).
