2.1 Install APP
Download “W230 WiFi Plug”APP and install on your Android or IOS smart phone. All operation
and settings will be done on APP.

2.2 Set WiFi and register device
Set WiFi in smart-link mode
Set WiFi account into W230 to make it connecting with
network. Make your smart phone connected with your own
WiFi network, W230 will register same WiFi network which
smart phone already connected.
1. Power on W230 device, it will beep five times and beep
every 5 seconds, means failed to connect WiFi.
2. Open APP, click “+”icon at the right top place, and select
“Set WiFi and register Device”. it will auto display the
WiFi SSID, only need to input password, and click
“CONNECT”, it will auto set the WiFi SSID and password
onto W230 device.
3. After it set success, W230 will long beep, means WiFi
connected success. It will display device Mac, input the
name, and tap “Add”, then it can register device success.
Device will online after 1 minutes.

Set WiFi inAP mode
If your router work in dual 2.4G & 5G mode, then it needs to
setup W230 WiFi inAP mode. The method as following:
1. Power on W230, after hear 5 beeps means WiFi
disconnect, press W230 M button for one second to
switch socket power status, it will go to AP mode.
2. W230 will beep twice every 5 seconds, means
working in AP mode, it will generate “WiFi_Socket”
WiFi, make mobile phone connect “WiFi_Socket”. (No
need password to connect “WiFi_Socket”, it may need
to set allow send data even this WiFi can not connect
Internet).
3. Open APP, click + to add new device, APP “Set WiFi
on AP mode” option will auto turn on, select your own
WiFi and input password, Tap “Connect”, W230 will
long beep and display device MAC, input device name
to finish register device. (If input wrong WiFi
password, W230 will failed connect WiFi and five
beeps, need to set WiFi again.)

2.3 Manual add device
1. When device already set WiFi, Click “+”, and select “Add
device”, input the “Device name”and device Mac, click
“Connect”, it will send register request to device. (Mac
number can be read from device label and packing box)
2. Device will beep twice once received register request. Press
W230 device M button for 1 seconds, device will long beep,
it means accept register. APP will show register device.
2.4 Device list
When open APP, it will auto display registered device, and update device status automatically.
The format of device as following:
“Device name”“Status”“Temperature”“Power status”“

Device name: the name register when add the device. Use to
separate different device.
Status: “online”: means this device connected with server, can
be control via APP. “offline”: means the device disconnect with
server, can not be controlled via APP. Device will auto online
again when it connected WiFi.
Temperature: It will show latest environment temperature of
this device, auto update every 30 seconds.
Power status:
ON: means the power plug output is ON
OFF: means the power plug output is OFF.
2.5 Power control
On Power control page, it can remotely on/off power, delay turn on power, also can pairing remote
controls and wireless sensors.
