3 Intended use
The device is used for automatic monitoring of the state of charge of a house battery, to prevent deep discharge. The
device is primarily used in (but not limited to) caravans and motor homes.
The device disconnects the battery automatically if the voltage drops down under the minimum voltage limit of 11 V.
The battery can also be manually disconnected with an on/off button.

The device is not intended to be used as starting battery switch, but only for house batteries where the maximum cur-
rents (charge and discharge) are below the value of 100 A (continuous).
This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in accordance with these instructions.
This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation and/or operation of the product. Poor in-
stallation and/or improper operating or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible failure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product resulting from:
• Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess voltage
• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts provided by the manufacturer
• Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
• Use for purposes other than those described in this manual

4 Safety instructions
WARNING! Electrocution hazard, Fire hazard
• Installation, assembly, and wiring as well as all other work may only be performed by qualified electri-
cal specialists. Inadequate repairs may cause serious hazards.
• Installation in potentially explosive areas such as rooms with inflammable liquids or gases is not per-
mitted.
• Do not install or keep the device near flames or other heat sources (heating, direct sunlight, gas ovens
etc.).
• Install and keep the device well out of the reach of children.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
• Check that the voltage specification on the data plate corresponds to that of the energy supply.
• Never immerse the device in water.
• Protect the device and cables against heat and moisture.
• Do not expose the device to rain.
5 Technical description
The device is available in two versions, for 12 V and for 24 V.
If, during battery use, the device detects a voltage lower than 11 V (for the 12 V model), or 22 V (for the 24 V model),
for a continuous time longer than 10 minutes, it will automatically disconnect the battery from the system. If the bat-
tery reaches the critical threshold of 10.5 V (for the 12 V model), or 21 V (for the 24 V model), the device will immedi-
ately disconnect the battery from the system.
The button on the device is used to manually connect and disconnect the battery.

6 Installation

The installation may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
6.1 Choosing a location
Install the device in a clean area inside the RV where it is protected against vibrations, explosive materials, moisture,
heat, and pollution.

1. Connect the device according to the wiring diagram.
Note The wiring diagram shows an example. Not all these electrical devices have to be connected for
the device to work.

2. The LED indicator is lit when the battery is connected and the utilities are supplied from the battery. If the LED in-
dicator is not lit after wiring, press the on/off button for 1 second to activate the battery connection.
7 Using the device
If the battery has been disconnected because of low voltage, connect a charging source to the battery to con-
nect it again. As soon as enough state of charge has been reached in the battery, the LED indicator flashes and is
then turned on. The battery connects and supplies the loads with power.
To manually disconnect the battery, press the ON/OFF button. The LED indicator flashes and is then turned off.

8 Cleaning and maintenance
The device is maintenance-free.
Occasionally clean the product with a damp cloth.
9 Warranty
The statutory warranty period applies. If the product is defective, please contact the manufacturer's branch in your
country (see dometic.com/dealer) or your retailer.
For repair and warranty processing, please include the following documents when you send in the device:
• A copy of the receipt with purchasing date
• A reason for the claim or description of the fault
Note that self-repair or nonprofessional repair can have safety consequences and might void the warranty.
10 Disposal
Recycling products with non-replaceable batteries, rechargeable batteries or light sources:
• If the product contains any non-replaceable batteries, rechargeable batteries or light sources, you
don't have to remove them before disposal.
• If you wish to finally dispose of the product, ask your local recycling center or specialist dealer for de-
tails about how to do this in accordance with the applicable disposal regulations.
• The product can be disposed free of charge.
Recycling packaging material: Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins wher-
ever possible.

3 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das Gerät dient zur Überwachung des Ladezustands einer Bordbatterie zur Vermeidung von Tiefentladung und wird
primär (unter anderem) in Wohnwagen und Wohnmobilen eingesetzt.

Das Gerät trennt die Batterie automatisch, wenn die Spannung unter die Mindestspannungsgrenze von 11 V abfällt.
Die Batterie kann auch manuell mit einer Ein-/Aus-Taste getrennt werden.
Das Gerät ist nicht zur Verwendung als Starterbatterieschalter vorgesehen, sondern nur für Bordbatterien, bei denen
die maximalen Lade- und Entladeströme unter dem Wert von 100 A (Dauerleistung) liegen.
Dieses Produkt ist nur für den angegebenen Verwendungszweck und die Anwendung gemäß dieser Anleitung
geeignet.
Dieses Handbuch enthält Informationen, die für die ordnungsgemäße Installation und/oder den ordnungsgemäßen
Betrieb des Produkts erforderlich sind. Installationsfehler und/oder ein nicht ordnungsgemäßer Betrieb oder eine
nicht ordnungsgemäße Wartung haben eine unzureichende Leistung und u.U. einen Ausfall des Geräts zur Folge.

4 Sicherheitshinweise

• Die Installation, die Montage und die Verkabelung sowie alle anderen Arbeiten dürfen nur durch eine
qualifizierte Elektrofachkraft durchgeführt werden. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen können erhe-
bliche Gefahren entstehen.
• Die Installation in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen wie beispielsweise Räumen mit entzündlichen
Flüssigkeiten oder Gasen ist nicht zulässig.
• Installieren und verwahren Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von offenen Flammen oder anderen
Wärmequellen (Heizung, direkte Sonneneinstrahlung, Gasöfen usw.).
• Installieren und verwahren Sie das Gerät außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern.
ACHTUNG! Beschädigungsgefahr
• Prüfen Sie, ob die Spannungsangabe auf dem Typenschild mit der vorhandenen Energieversorgung
übereinstimmt.
• Tauchen Sie das Gerät nie in Wasser.
• Schützen Sie das Gerät und die Kabel vor Hitze und Nässe.
• Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht Regen aus.
5 Technische Beschreibung
Das Gerät ist in zwei Ausführungen erhältlich, für 12 V und für 24 V.
Wenn das Gerät während der Verwendung der Batterie eine Spannung von weniger als 11 V (beim 12 V-Modell)
oder 22 V (beim 24 V-Modell) über einen längeren Zeitraum als 10Minuten erkennt, trennt es die Batterie automa-
