Open your camera package and check that you have
a of the components isted be ow.
If any component is missing, ca the Microtek Customer
Service immediate y.
Unpacking Getting Started
1. Loading the Batteries
Use two AA-sized A ka ine batteries (supp ied), or two
AA-sized Nicke Meta Hydride (NiMH) batteries.
1. Ensure that the camera is
turned off; then push the
battery cover in the direction
of the arrow to open it.
2. Insert two AA-sized
batteries into the
compartment.
Ensure that the p us (+)
and minus () po arity of
the batteries matches the
po arity markings in the
battery compartment.

2. Inserting the SD Card
A SecureDigita (SD) card (not inc uded) can be used to
supp ement the cameras interna memory. Pictures are
stored direct y onto the SD card when a card is
insta ed. If a card is not insta ed, pictures are stored in
the cameras interna memory. To insta an SD card:
3. Turning the Camera On Off
Press the POWER button to turn the camera on.
When the camera is turned on, the READY LED emits a
steady green co or.
When the camera is powered on, the LCD screen
becomes active. The DISP button enab es you to turn
the LCD screen on or off.
Press the POWER button again to turn the camera off.

Switching Between Modes
Use the Mode switch to se ect the
desired mode for the camera.
P ayback Mode
Disp ays the ast photo or movie taken, or the ast
audio recorded. A ows you to browse and de ete
images and movie/audio c ips.
Photo Mode
Norma shooting mode using automatic exposure, and
providing a fu se ection of manua contro s.
/ Movie/Audio Mode
A ows you to record movie and audio c ips of
un imited ength ( imited on y by the size of avai ab e
memory).
Using the Multifunction Buttons
The Mu tifunction buttons provide Up, Down,
Left, and Right arrow se ections for navigating
the Menu screens. In addition to navigation,
the buttons a so provide other functions in
P ayback, Photo, and Movie/Audio mode. Refer to the
fo owing tab e.

Using the Menus
Press the MENU button to disp ay a different menu for
each operation mode. The Setup menu appears in a
modes.
To access the menu mode:
1. Set the Mode switch to any operation mode.
2. Press the MENU button to disp ay the Mode menu.
Use the / arrow buttons to navigate through
the menu se ections.
Use the / arrow buttons to togg e between
the options.
When an area is se ected, it is disp ayed with a b ue
background. The se ected setting is high ighted in
red.
3. Press the MENU button to confirm the settings and
exit the menu.

1. Setting the Date and Time
1. Set the Mode switch to any operation mode.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Use the / arrow buttons to enter Setup menu
mode ( ) .
4. Use the / arrow buttons to
se ect DATE or TIME.
5. Use the / arrow buttons to
togg e between the yyyy,
mm, and dd formats for the
date, or hr, min and sec
formats for the time.
6. Use the / arrow buttons to
adjust the va ues.
7. Press the Shutter (OK) button
once you have fina ized the date or time settings.
8. Press the MENU button to confirm the settings and
exit the menu.
2. Selecting the Language
1. Set the Mode switch to any operation mode.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Use the / arrow buttons to
enter Setup menu mode ( ).
4. Use the 4-way arrow buttons to
se ect LANGUAGE, then se ect
the anguage you want to use.
5. Press the MENU button to confirm the setting and
exit the menu.
Before Shooting
3. Formatting the SD Card
1. Set the Mode switch to any operation mode.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Use the / arrow buttons to enter Setup menu
mode ( ).
4. Use the / arrow buttons to se ect FORMAT.
When se ected, the OK? setting
appears as we and is high ighted
in red, a owing you to format the
insta ed SD card.
5. Press the Shutter (OK) button.
A screen appears to a ow you to
format the insta ed SD card or to
cance .
6. Use the / arrow buttons to
se ect OK, then press the
Shutter (OK) button.
The SD card is formatted.
When formatting is comp eted, the LCD disp ay
returns to the se ected mode screen.

Continuous Shooting Self-Timer
1. Set the Mode switch to (Photo).
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Use the 4-way arrow buttons to
se ect DRIVE MODE, then se ect
for continuous shooting, or
for se f-timer.
4. Press the MENU button to confirm the setting and
exit the menu.
The corresponding icon appears on the LCD screen.

5. Frame the subject using the LCD screen, and press
the Shutter button.
For continuous shooting mode, three pictures are
taken in rapid succession after the Shutter
button is pressed.
For se f-timer mode, the F ash LED starts b inking
when the se f-timer starts. The picture is taken
10 seconds after the Shutter button is pressed.
Continuous shooting mode and se f-timer mode switch
off after the picture has been taken.
1. Set the Mode switch to
(Photo).
Settings are automatica y
adjusted and disp ayed on the
LCD screen.
2. Frame the subject using the
LCD screen.
3. Press the Shutter button.
A sti image is taken when a beep
sounds. Do not move the camera
unti you hear the beep.
The camera is ready to take
another picture when a message
BUSY! disappears from the LCD
screen.
Using the Digital Zoom
Use the Digita Zoom to magnify
distant images.
1. Get ready to shoot.
2. Press the button unti the
desired zoom va ue is
disp ayed on the LCD screen.
3. Press the Shutter button.

Shooting Movies
Movie mode a ows you to record movie c ips, the
ength of which is determined on y by the size of your
avai ab e memory. C ips are recorded at a reso ution of
320x420 pixe s, at 15 frames per second. Movies are
saved in memory in the AVI fi e format.
1. Switch mode to / (Movie/Audio).
Recording Audio
The audio feature a ows you to record audio c ips of
un imited ength ( imited on y by the size of your
camera's memory).
1. Set the Mode switch to /
(Movie/Audio).
The movie standby recording
screen appears on the LCD
screen.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Use the 4-way arrow buttons
to se ect DRIVE MODE, then
se ect .
4. Press the MENU button again
to confirm the setting and exit
the menu.
The audio standby recording
screen appears on the LCD
screen.
5. Press and re ease the Shutter
(OK) button.
Audio recording begins, with
the e apsed time shown on
the LCD screen.
6. Press the Shutter (OK) button
once more to stop recording.
The movie standby
recording screen appears
on the LCD screen.
2. Frame the subject using
the LCD screen.
3. Press and re ease the
Shutter (OK) button.
The e apsed time appears
on the LCD screen as the
movie is recording.
4. Press the Shutter (OK)
button once more to stop
shooting.

Playing Back Images or Audio
1. Set the Mode switch to (P ayback).
The most recent y recorded image or audio appears
on the LCD screen.
Playing Back
If this is a sti image,
the sti image is
shown on the LCD
screen with a
P ayback icon ( ).
If this is a movie, the
first frame of the
movie is shown on the
LCD screen with a
Movie icon ( ).
If this is an audio c ip,
the audio c ip is
shown on the LCD
screen with an Audio
icon ( ).
2. Use the / arrow buttons to se ect the image or
audio you want to p ay back.
3. Press the Shutter (OK) button.
P ayback of the movie or audio fi e begins, with the
e apsed time shown on the LCD screen.
Press the Shutter (OK) button once more to stop the
movie or audio p ayback.
Nine-image Display
This feature ets you view images as a composite
disp ay of nine images.
1. Set the Mode switch to (P ayback).
2. Press the / button.
Use the 4-way arrow buttons to se ect a
different image.
Press the Shutter (OK) button to return to sing e-
image disp ay.

Zooming Images
This feature ets you zoom in on a sti image at up to
four times the origina viewing size.
1. Se ect a sti image you want to magnify.
2. Press the button to zoom in and the ( /) button
to zoom out.
