loopswill tendtosagintothelowerhalfoftheantenna. Theseareheldup inposition
byusingthetiewrapsasshowninfig8oneachcornerposttotakesomeontheweight
oftheloop. Thetopoftheverticalloopscanbeadjustedforbestshapeandthetwo
loopsfastenedtogetherwiththefifthtiewrap. Withcare, thetiewrapscanbeadjusted
toproduce reasonablecirclesforeachloop.
Notethattheexactshapeisnotcritical. Deviationfromperfectcirclesisinevitablebut
thishasnosignificanteffectonantennaperformance. EN55015 statesinsection7.2
thateventhepositionoftheUUT intheantennaisnotcritical.
9. Withintheloop, constructawoodenstandortabletosuittheproductstobetested.
ThisisnotincludedwiththeRF300 becauseitneedstobematchedtoindividual
customersrequirements. Thestandshouldholdtheproductroughlycentralwithinthe
loop.
10. Connectthelooptransducerstotheswitchunitasshowninfig11. The3
transducercablesareidentifiedbyhavingthickRFabsorberfiltersalongtheirlength.
Fitthecablessothatthesefiltersarenearesttotheswitchunit.
Theswitchunitisintendedforfloormounting, ormaybemountedonasuitabletableif
preferred. Theshortco-axcableactsasapatchcabletoswitcheachinput, oneata
time, totheoutput.
Theoutputfromtheswitchunitisconnecteddirecttotheanalyserorreceiver.
