Roomba Set-up
Charge for 3 hours — while you’re waiting,
load batteries into your Virtual Wall and
Remote.

1Place battery into Roomba
Robotic Floorvac.
(press down on both ends)
Clean the floor of loose stuff like you would before using a traditonal
vacuum. If you don’t vacuum over it, don’t use Roomba over it (e.g., rug tas-
sels, power and blind cords).

Roomba Set-up – Self-Charging Home Base

7
To restart Roomba when it is on the Home Base, just press “Clean” and watch Roomba
GO!
8
To manually send me back
to recharge, I need to be placed with-
in 4-5 feet in front of the Home Base.
Then press both the “Clean“ and
“Spot” button at the same time.
When Roomba completes a mission or
the battery is running low, it will find its
way back to the Home Base and
re-charge for the next mission. There will
be times Roomba can’t find its Home
Base. If this happens, place Roomba on
the Home Base or plug into the wall.
Set up the Home Base against a wall in a location with a clear approach and no
obstructions in front.

Spot works
great on spills or in
high traffic areas.
In dirtier
areas, I increase my
cleaning intensity.
3Use “Max” for extended cleaning time. Roomba will clean for up to 120 minutes before
shutting off.
“Dirt Alert” will illuminate when Roomba has detected dirt that
requires special attention. When the dirt is gone, Roomba will
continue in its standard cleaning mode.
Use “Spot” to intensively clean a 3 ft. diameter area.

6When Roomba stops, check the indicator light.
8
When Roomba is not cleaning it is recommended that you keep it plugged in. That will help
the battery stay in peak condition.
7
Use your remote to power up, start a cleaning cycle, or direct Roomba to
the dirt.
If my mission is
abandoned, pick me up
and examine my brushes.
Remove any obstructions
before restarting.

12Remove and clean the brushes
every 10 uses.
Cotton swabs
work great!
3
Empty the bin over a trash barrel after each
use. Don’t forget to remove the filter
assembly and empty the 2nd chamber.
I recommend
you do this every 2
months.
Change filters.
Inspect and wipe the sensors clean.

Roomba Last Thoughts
The Roomba Robotic Floorvac is easy to use,
but under the hood it’s a complex robot. We’re
