Invacare products are specificall designed and manufactured for use in conjunction
with Invacare accessories. Accessories designed b other manufacturers have not
been tested b Invacare and are not recommended for use with Invacare products.
NEVER operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plug. If it is not working
properl , if it has been dropped or damaged, or if it has fallen into water, return the
product to a service center for examination and repair.
Keep the cord awa from HEATED surfaces.
NEVER block an air openings (inlet) of the product or place it on a soft surface
where the opening ma be blocked. Keep all air openings free of lint, dirt and other
foreign objects.
NEVER use while sleep or drows .

NEVER operate this product outdoors in the rain or in a wet area.

If this unit is supplied with a three-pronged plug, connect unit to a properl
grounded outlet onl . Refer to Grounding Instructions on page 3.

Grounding Instructions
WARNING
Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock.
NOTE: or this procedure, refer to IGURE 1.
NOTE: This product should be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding
reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape wire for the electrical current. This
product is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must
be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
NOTE: If repair or replacement of the cord or plug is necessary, do not connect the grounding wire
to either flat blade terminal. The wire with insulation having an outer surface that is green with or
without yellow strips is the grounding wire.
NOTE: This product is for use on a nominal 120 V circuit, and has a grounding plug that looks
like the plug illustration in SKETCH A of IGURE 1. A temporary adapter, which looks like the
adapter illustrated in SKETCHES B and C, may be used to connect this plug to 2-pole receptacle
as shown in SKETCH B if a properly grounded outlet is not available. The temporary adapter
should be used only until a properly grounded outlet (SKETCH A) can be installed by a qualified
electrician. The green colored rigid ear, lug and the like extending from the adapter must be
connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box cover. Whenever the
adapter is used, it must be held in place by the screw.
NOTE: Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not
completely understood, or if in doubt as to whether the product is properly grounded.

Electrical - Compressor
If the overload protector shuts off the motor frequently, you may have a low voltage
situation. Low voltage can also be suspected when:
1. The motor does not get up to full power or speed.
2. Fuses or circuit breakers activate when starting compressor.
3. Lights dim or remain dim when compressor is started.
4. Other motor operated appliances fail to operate properly. Too many motor operated
appliances on same circuit.
NOTE: The motor of this compressor has a thermal overload protector. If the motor should overheat,
the overload protector will shut off the motor. If this should occur, turn the ON/O switch to the
O position and allow the motor to cool (approximately 5 minutes). Restart compressor. If the
compressor fails to start, wait an additional 5 minutes before attempting to restart. If this fails,
check for a blown fuse on the household electric circuits. If the unit still does not restart, the motor
must be replaced. Call your dealer immediately.
Electrical - Extension Cords
NOTE: Make certain extension cord is in good condition and is NOT LESS than 18 gauge for 25
feet, 16 gauge for 50 feet and 14 gauge for 100 feet.
Operation
WARNING
Proper operation of this product is necessar to avoid ph sical harm. Improper use
can cause personal injur and/or tissue damage. This product should not be used
unless the operator has been instructed b a ph sician or other qualified health care
professional.

1. Familiarize yourself with this unit.
2. Place unit on table and push down hard so that suction feet hold unit firmly in place.
3. heck to see that the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position. Plug power cord into
electrical outlet.
NOTE: Before attempting to start a cold unit, let the unit reach room temperature in a heated area,
then press the ON/O switch to start the unit.
4. Turn the pressure control knob fully counterclockwise.
NOTE: As the knob is turned counterclockwise the pressure will decrease, as the knob is turned
clockwise the pressure will increase.

5. Attach the nebulizer tubing to the outlet port.
6. Turn the ON/OFF switch to the ON
position.

clockwise to adjust the pressure to the
setting specified by your physician's
instructions.
NOTE: The pressure gauge needle will vibrate.
Adjust the pressure gauge setting as closely as
possible to the specified pressure.
2. Proceed with therapy per physician's

Cleaning/Replacing The ir Filters
NOTE: or this procedure, refer to IGURE 2.
NOTE: Check the filters at least once each month. If the compressor begins to lose pressure in
normal use, check the air filters.
1. Remove the filter cap from the Inlet Filter Assembly.
2. If the foam filter appears dirty, wash with mild detergent and water. Rinse thoroughly
and let air dry.
CAUTION
DO NOT wash the felt filter. Water damages the felt filter.
3. Replace the felt filter if it appears dark in color, becomes clogged, or is damaged.

DO NOT operate this compressor without filters installed.

Instrucciones Para Coneccion Tierra
ADVERTENCIA
El uso inapropiado de la conección a tierra puede resultar en riesgo de choque
eléctrico.
NOTA: Para este procedimiento, consulte la IGURA 3.
NOTA: Este producto debe de ser conectado a tierra. En caso de un corto circuito, la conección a
tierra reduce el riesgo de choque eléctrico sirviendo de alambre de escape a la correiente eléctrica.
Este producto está equipado con un cordón que tiene un alambre con una terminal para conección
a tierra. El enchufe debe de ser conectado a un tomacorriente que está debidamente instalado y
conectado a tierra.
NOTA: Si es necesario reparar o reemplazar el cordón o el enchufe, no conecte el alambre que va a
tierra a una de las terminales planas, en forma de hoja. El alambre con insulación color verde, con
o sin lineas amarillas, es el alambre para la conección a tierra.
NOTA: Este producto es para uso en un circuito nominal de 120 voltios y tiene un enchufe con
conección para tierra y luce como el enchufe de la ilustración en el DIBUJO A de la IGURA 3.
Un adaptador temporal, que luce como el adaptador ilustrado en el DIBUJO B y C, puede usarse
para conectar este enchufe a un receptáculo de dos (2) polaridades, segun se muestra en el DIBUJO
B, si un receptáculo apropiado con la debida conección a tierra no está disponible. El adaptador
temporal debe usarse solamente hasta que un tomacorriente con la conección apropiada a tierra
pueda ser instalado por un electricista capacitado. La oreja rígida color verde que se extiende del
adaptador debe de ser conectada a un contacto permanente a tierra, tales como a la covertura de la
caja metálica del tomacorriente. Cada vez que el adaptador sea usado, éste debe de ser sostenido
firmemente usando un tornillo de metal.

NOTA: Consulte con un electricista o un técnico de servicio capacitado si tiene dificultad en
comprender completamente las instrucciones o si tiene alguna duda en cuanto a si el producto está
conectado apropiadamente a tierra.

Electrical - Compresor
Si el protector de sobre carga interrumpe el motor del compresor frecuentemente, usted
pudiera tener una situación de bajo voltage. Bajo voltage puede sospecharse tambien
cuando:
1. El motor no desarrolla velocidad o fuerza completa.
2. Los fusibles o interruptores automáticos de la casa son activados cuando el compresor
es iniciado.
3. Las luces no encienden con su normal intensidad y permanecen así mientras el
compresor esta trabajando.
4. Otro aparato operado a motor eléctrico no funciona apropiadamente. Muchos
aparatos eléctricos funcionando en el mismo circuito eléctrico de la casa.
NOTA: El motor de este compresor posee un protector de sobrecarga termal. Si el motor se
sobrecalienta, el protector de sobrecarga lo interrumpirá. Si eso curre, tire el interruptor de
corriente a la posición “O ” y permita que el motor enfríe (Cuando menos 5 minutos). Inicie el
compresor de nuevo. Si otra vez falla, inspeccione los fusibles de la casa. Puede que haya uno
quemado. Si despues de ésto la unidad no puede ser iniciada, el motor probablemente necesite
reemplazo. Llame a su proveedor del producto inmediatmente.
Electrical - Extensiones Electricas
NOTA: Asegúrese de que la extensión eléctrica está en buena condición. Para una extensión de 25
pies de largo, el alambre DEBE ser número 18, para 50 pies número 16 y para 100 pies número 14.
