Water and Moisture
The apparatus should be protected from moisture and rain and can not be used
near water; for example near a bathtub, a kitchen sink, a swimming pool, etc.
Heat
The apparatus should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves
or other appliances that produce heat.
Object and Liquid Entry
Objects do not fall into and liquids are not spilled into the inside of the apparatus
for safety.
Cleaning
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use any solvents such as benzene or alcohol.
Servicing
Do not implement any servicing other than those means described in the manual.
Refer all servicing to qualied service personnel only. Only use accessories/attach-
ments or parts recommended by the manufacturer.
2. UNPACKING
Thank you for purchasing your GALA Series ceiling speakers. All units have been
rigorously tested before leaving the factory. Carefully unpack the carton and
check the contents to ensure that all parts are present and in good conditions:

If anything damaged during transport, notify the shipper immediately and keep
packing material for inspection. Again, please save its carton and all packing
materials. If the unit must be returned to the manufacturer, it is important that

the unit is returned in the original manufacturer’s packing. Please do not take any
action without rst contacting us.
Our products are subject to a continuous process of further development. There-
fore modications to the technical features remain subject to change without
further notice.
3. PRODUCT OVERVIEW
GALA Series oers elegant, reliable and versatile loudspeakers with woofer diam-
eters ranging from 5” to 8”, and powers from 3W to 15W RMS. They can be used
with standard 70/100V professional ampliers, and are suitable for any application
of music distribution in shops, restaurants, bars, oces, shopping malls, schools,
etc.
All GALA speakers feature metal frames and grilles, and quick-t mechanism, to
make installation very easy and fast. The built-in line transformers allow the use
with 70/100V lines, and oer two power taps to better adapt to dierent speaker
arrangement and amplier powers. They come in white color, but can be painted
in any color.

5. INSTALLATION
Read these instructions carefully before installing and using the product.
1. When the speaker is installed on ceilings, check that the structure is reliable
and the speaker is rmly attached.
2. Do not use nails, adhesives or other unauthorized devices. Long-term use
and vibrations may cause it to fall easily.
3. Do not place the speakers on a turntable or movable support.
4. Do not touch or bump the woofer. If these are damaged, the sound will be
distorted.
5. Do not listen to sound at a very high level when you are changing the input
source (for example, from FM Tuner to CD player). Please be sure the power
amplier is turned o or master volume is at lower level.
6. Do not attempt to clean the speakers with chemical solvents as this may
damage the paint surface. Clean with a dry cloth.
5.1. Speaker Installation
The installer is responsible of installation. Please pay attention to
install speakers according to local safety regulations.
When mange these speakers, be careful not to touch or load the front
of the speaker net with hard facing, otherwise it will deform the net.
yStep1: Draw a ceiling hole on the ceiling with a diameter corresponding to the
ones shown on “4. PRODUCT APPEARANCE” at page 6.
yStep2: Use appropriate tools to open the mounting hole on the ceiling.

yStep3: Connect the speaker cable to the electric terminals (check “5.2. Speaker
Connection” at page 8).
yStep4: Fold the spring brackets with both hands.
yStep5: Insert the speaker into the ceiling and slowly release your hands.
5.2. Speaker Connection
GALA Series speakers are equipped with a built-in line transformer with 2 power
taps, to better adapt each speaker to the type of line (constant voltage @ 70V or
100V), the power of the amplier, and the number of speakers in the system.
When connect the speaker to the 70/100V line, pay attention to wire colors. Please
refer to the following table when connect them to the line.

yConnect Black wires to Ground terminal (-) of the 70/100V amplier. Connect
White (full power) or Red Wires (half power) on (+) terminals of the 70/100V
amplier according to the number of speakers used, and the amplier power.
yIn case of parallel speaker connection, please make sure that there is not in-
verted polarity (+ connected to -). If the polarity of the speakers is reversed, the
sound will be unnatural and will play without bass.
6. UNDER-POWERING VS OVER-POWERING
Most speaker damages are caused by ampliers with too little power (wattage).
Overdriven ampliers clip output waveforms and send distortion to the speakers.
Clipping is usually audible; it may vary from a harsh sound to a fuzzy or unclear
sound.
If you hear this condition at loud volume levels, turn down the amplier volume
until the distortion is no longer present. Damages caused by operating the speak-
ers at distorted volume levels are no covered by warranty.
6.1. Example of 70V/100V System Configuration

NOTE: Total number of speakers multiplied by tap value cannot
exceed the output power (in watts) of the 70V/100V amplifier. The
above examples shows 5 total speakers in a 100V system. If you use
6W tap position, you need an amplifier with at least 5x6=30W. A
good rule of thumb is to use an amplifier with 20% greater power; in
this case, an amplifier with 36W or more.
