Safety advice

3. Always rell the water tank to

MAX level using normal tap water.

Insert the water tank into the base

unit. Ensure that the water tank

latches securely into place. Never

use distilled water only. Never put

scented water, vinegar or ironing

aids in the water tank. This may

cause brown spitting and staining

of garment.

CAUTION! Never operate the

steam generator without any water

in the water tank.

2. Remove the water tank by

gripping the slot on the underside

and pulling it gently away from

the base unit. Make sure the steam

generator unit’s power cord is

unplugged. Detach the anti-calc

cartridge and then immerse it in

water for more than one minute.

Insert the anti-calc catridge back.

Fill the water tank using normal

tap water. If the tap water in your

area is very hard, you can ll the

tank with 50% tap water and 50%

bottled distilled water. Empty the

water tank to rinse out any foreign

particles which may remain from

the manufacturing process.

Getting started

1. Before rst use. Remove all

adhesive remains and gently rub

with a dampened cloth. Position

the steam generator horizontally

on the ironing-board or on a heat

resistant, secure surface at the

same height as an ironing-board.

Unwind and straighten the power

cord and the steam cord. When

switched on for the rst time,

temporary vapours/odours may

occur.

4. Connect the steam generator to

the mains socket. Press the power

button. Set the iron temperature

selector according to the fabric

type by referring to the garment

label or the ironing chart. The

temperature indicator light on the

iron will illuminate. Then, select a

steam level on the control panel,

from low - medium - high steam.

6. Iron an old towel, to ensure that

any residues inside the iron are

not transferred to the laundry. If

necessary, wipe the soleplate with

a slightly damp cloth.

5. When the temperature indicator

light turns on, the steam generator

is pre-heating. When the light

turns o, it is ready to be used. The

hot soleplate indicator turns red

when the iron reaches 40°C. Press

the steam button to discharge a

concentrated shot of steam. Then

hold one more minute in order to

clean the steam generating system.

Cleaning and care

7. If the low water level indicator

is illuminated (followed with two

beep sounds), rell the water tank.

After relling the water tank, press

and hold the rel reset button for

about 6 seconds. The low water

level indicator light will turn o.

Steam can now be used again.

10. When nished using the appliance,

turn the temperature selector to

the OFF (“0“) position. Always cool

the iron fully on the iron rest before

stowing away. Once the iron has

cool down, empty the water tank.

Note: Do not store the steam

generator with water in the tank.

8. To activate the steam, press the

steam button. When releasing the

button, use up the steam before

putting it back on the iron rest.

11.Always store the cord wound

safely by the side of the steam

generator. NEVER wind the power

cord around the iron.

9. To switch o the iron, press the

power button until a beep sound.

Once the iron is unplugged, the

hot soleplate indicator will slowly

revert to black as the soleplate

cools down. Wait for the indicator

stripe to revert to black again

before touching the soleplate or

storing the iron. If the iron is left

unattended on the iron rest, it will

automatically switches o after 10

minutes.

3. To signicantly reduce the built-

up of lime scale in your steam

generator, we recommend to

change the anti-calc cartridge

according to the hardness of

water: For hard water, change

the cartridge for every 10 tanks.

For medium water, change the

cartridge for every 20 tanks. For

soft water, change the cartrdige for

every 40 tanks.

For the best performance, we

recommend cartridge EDC06 from

Menalux range

2. Replacing the anti-calc cartridge:

If the descaling indicator is

illuminated, detach the water tank.

Remove the anti-calc cartridge

by pulling it upwards. Immerse a

new anti-calc cartridge in water for

more than one minute, then place

it inside the water tank. Ensure the

new anti-calc cartridge is correctly

positioned, if not, the descaling

indicator will keep ashing.

Cleaning and Maintenance

1. To clean exterior surfaces, use a

damp soft cloth and wipe dry.

Caution: Do not use any chemical

solvents, as these will damage the

surface.
