Cabela’s recommends that you familiarize yourself with all parts and fully assemble your tent before going on
your first adventure.
It can be easier to assemble a tent with the door facing the wind. Once you have fully assembled the tent, you
can turn it to face the way you want and re-stake.
Stakes should be placed at a 45˚ angle with the tops facing away from the center of the tent.
If your tent has fabric ties or hooks on top of the tent, secure these to the poles. These are usually the support
for an accessory hang point inside the tent.
We HIGHLY recommend setting guy lines every time to secure your tent. Guy lines will not only stabilize the tent
in windy conditions, they also ensure that the tent will vent properly.
When possible, open doors to increase ventilation and reduce condensation, which can form on the inner tent
surface.
Research the area where you intend to camp. Prepare for any possible weather conditions. Be aware of hazards
and emergency protocol.
Know the rules and regulations of the area where you intend to camp.
Be considerate of other people and wildlife.
Remember to clean up and dispose of all waste properly. “Leave no trace behind.”
Always store your tent dry and clean. To clean soiled areas, gently apply nondetergent soap and water.
You should set up and inspect your tent annually before using. Ensure that you have all the parts from the
provided list.
Inspect seams for wear and apply seam sealer if needed.
DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Follow all assembly steps in reverse order to disassemble the tent.
When disassembling the tent, you should slightly loosen all rain-fly buckles or webbing. You should also loosen
window zippers to relieve stress upon next assembly.
Fold the rain fly and place it over the tent body. Fold the tent body into thirds or quarters, depending on the tent.
The width of the folded tent should roughly match the length of the unassembled poles.
For smaller backpack tents, place the pole and stake bag on the short end of the tent. Firmly roll the tent up
around the pole bag and place in the carry bag.

ALASKAN GUIDE TENT ASSEMBLY
STEP 1 - GETTING STARTED
CABELA’S TENTS ARE EASY TO ASSEMBLE AS LONG AS YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND AVOID EXCESSIVE
FORCE TO ANY PART OF THE TENT OR POLES.
WE RECOMMEND ASSEMBLY BE COMPLETED BY TWO PEOPLE.
Lay out your tent body with the door facing up. Place a
stake at each corner, through the loop at the end of the
webbing.
(Note: Insert all stakes into the ground at a 45˚ angle with
the tops facing away from the center of the tent.)
Pull the webbing taut so that you attain a straight line but
do not distort the shape of the tent.
STEP 2 - POLE ASSEMBLY
Assemble all poles. Each sleeve and clips are color-coded to
the correct poles. Starting at A1, insert the matching pole
through the sleeve. Repeat this step for the B and C
color-coded poles.
Insert one end of the A1 assembly into the middle ring pins.
Repeat this step for B1. Only these two points will have
three pins.

STEP 4 - SECURING POLES
CABELA’S TENTS ARE EASY TO ASSEMBLE AS LONG AS YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND AVOID EXCESSIVE
FORCE TO ANY PART OF THE TENT OR POLES.
Pole D follows the seamline from points C1 to C2. Insert one
of the ends onto the ring pins and bend over the top of
existing poles. Next, insert the opposite end into corre-
sponding ring pin. Repeat the process for pole-assemblies E
and F. Pole E follows points B1 to B2. Pole F follows points
A1 to A2 (Fig. 5). Attach C-clips to the rest of the pole
assemblies.
(Note: Where poles intersect, there is a hook-and-loop
webbing attachment. Pass webbing over intersecting poles
and through the D-ring and then back onto itself. (Fig. 6))
STEP 5 - SETTING VESTIBULE
Position rain fly so that the zipper portions are over the two
tent windows and the extended (gray) roof portion is over
the front tent door. Insert the shorter rain-fly pole assembly
into the rain-fly pole sleeve at the rear of the vestibule until
it extends out the opposite end.
Connect the rain-fly corners to the tent by attaching the
shock-corded hooks to the tent corners’ black steel rings.
Insert pole ends onto the remaining ring pins at points A1
and B1 (Fig. 5) and attach remaining rain-fly hooks.
STEP 6 - FINAL STEPS
Guy out the front vestibule by pulling the front of the
vestibule away from the tent evenly until it is taut. Stake
out at each webbing loop on either side of the vestibule.
Stake out all remaining loops and guy lines.
(Note: Guy lines will not only stabilize the tent in windy
conditions, they also ensure that the tent vents properly.)
