DESIGN AND OPERATING LOGIC

The unit has the following operating logic:

Warm stale extract air from the room ows through the air ducts to the unit, where it is ltered, then air ows through the rotary heat

exchanger and is exhausted outside by the extract fan through the air ducts.

Clean cold air from outside is moved by the supply fan to the unit, where from it is directed to the supply lter. Then ltered air ows

through the rotary heat exchanger and moves to the room through the air ducts.

Heat energy of warm extract air is transferred in the rotary heat exchanger to clean intake fresh air from outside and warms it up. Heat

recovery minimizes thermal energy losses, energy demand and operating costs for air heating accordingly.

EXHAUST AIR

The unit is a framework construction that includes a frame made of six rigidly xed 20 mm thick sandwich panels. The three-layer

sandwich panels are made of aluminium and galvanized sheets, internally lled with heat- and sound-insulated material.

The unit is equipped with quick-detachable service panels for repair and maintenance operations.

Route a power and a ground cable through the screwed cable glands to connect those to the terminal block located in the control

unit. The wiring diagram is shown on inner side of the control unit cover.

MOUNTING AND SETUP

While mounting the unit provide the minimum required access to the unit for maintenance and repair. The required minimum

distances from the unit to the wall is shown below.

To attain the best performance of the unit while mounting provide a straight 1 m duct section on both sides of the unit.

Access to the unit must be prevented by installing a protecting grille or any other device with the mesh width up to 12.5 mm.

Prior to starting the unit check the rotary heat exchanger cells are not soiled and not damaged. Check the belt tension. The tension

force is regulated by the spring on the motor suspension mount.

The unit is suspended to the mounting surface through the threaded rod xed inside the threaded dowel. The unit is also suitable

also for mounting to a horizontal mounting surface.

Precautions:

The unit is designed for mounting on a rigid and stable structure considering the unit weight, Fig. 7.

Make sure that a mounting construction has sucient load capacity for the unit weight. Otherwise reinforce an installation place by

beams, etc. If a construction rigidity is not sucient enough it can resonate with the unit and generate abnormal noise and vibration.

Make sure that the ambient conditions match the unit operation requirements before starting any installation works.

If the threaded bolts used for the unit mounting are too short the unit can generate abnormal noise and resonate with the ceiling.

If the unit connection place to the spiral seam duct is supposed to be the source of the abnormal noise, install a exible air duct

instead of the exible one.

Unit xation

Install an anchor bolts M8 into the xation for

the ceiling suspension mount and x it with nuts and

washers. The unit xation example is shown in the

gure on the right.
