The Tumi Grounded Electric Adaptor is a convenient travel device that provides four different
plug configurations in one unit for grounded electrical connectivity. This adaptor works in 150
countries (see list that follows). It is suitable for use with most 2-pole and 3-pole plugs and
provides a safe way to plug in and power your portable, grounded devices when you travel. The
Tumi Grounded Electric Adaptor can be used with a range of devices including: laptops, MP3
players, digital cameras, mobile phones, PDA’s, travel speakers, etc.

Before use, move all sliders on the sides completely back to their starting positions (1).
Press the unlocking button (2). and move the slider you have selected forward until it clicks into place (3).
Connect your device’s plug into the adaptor (4).
Connect the adaptor to the local power network (5). After use, press the unlocking button (2) and move
the slider completely back to its starting position.

SETTING UP THE PLUG FOR SWITZERLAND/ITALY
Slide out the Switzerland/Italy plug until it locks into place. Three pins in a straight line forms the Italian
plug. To change to the Switzerland plug:
Push the middle pin to the left with slight force until you hear a distinct “click” (1).
Then push the pin to the right (2).
Reverse instructions to change back to the Italian plug.

USING THE EUROPE COUNTRY ADAPTOR
Remove the Europe Country Adaptor from the Grounded Electric Adaptor and connect it to the local
power network. Connect your device’s plug to the Europe Country Adaptor.

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
•Do not use the adaptor if the housing is damaged.
•Do not expose the adaptor to any kind of liquid or moisture.
•This adaptor must not be combined with another adaptor.
•This adaptor is not converting voltage; the input voltage of the device you want to connect must match
the local power network voltage.
•Disconnect the adaptor from the local power network when you are not using it.
•Keep instructions for future reference.
•Keep away from children.
DO NOT ATTEMPT REPAIRS
Do not attempt to take apart, open, service, or modify the hardware device. Doing so could present the
risk of electric shock or hazard. Any evidence of any attempt to open and/or modify the device, including
any peeling or puncturing, will void the Limited Warranty.
USAGE AND CLEANING
•Do not use near any heat sources.
•Only use attachments and accessories specified by Tumi.
•Clean only with a soft, dry cloth.
