1. ntroduction
TEOC 211 in tallation example (2 device to create a network)
The TEOC 211 i a multi
-
purpo e Ethernet over coaxial cable bridge device. It can be u ed in a
number of different way to deliver Gigabit Ethernet connection via an exi ting coaxial (TV aerial or
cable TV) connection.
It can be u ed a either a ender or receiver but it will need to be u ed with at lea t one other
TRIAX Ethernet over Coax compatible device. Thi can be either
• TEOC 211: Ethernet over Coax device (compatible with cable or terre trial TV ignal )
• TECW 211: Ethernet over Coax + Wi-Fi dual band device (compatible with cable or
terre trial TV ignal )
A Maximum of 16 TEOC 211 or TECW 211 device can be u ed in any in home network
Each being able to end and receive Gigabit Ethernet via the exi ting TV aerial or cable TV cabling

2. First time configuration
•
Quick connection
In all ca e (terre trial or cable network), the fir t TEOC 211 adapter need to be connected to your
hou e Internet acce (Cable modem, ISP modem,…) via the upplied Ethernet patch cord, to get
an Ethernet ignal into the y tem.
• Connexion to a terrestrial television distribution system
Make a connection from a free OUTPUT on the TV aerial di tribution amplifier to the “TV+WWW” F
connector on the TEOC 211 adapter. It i e ential that the fir t TEOC 211 adapter i only
connected to an OUTPUT port of the amplifier, a the Ethernet over coax ignal cannot pa
through any amplifier.
At the econd end where the Ethernet ignal i wanted, you need to u e a econd TEOC 211
(without Wi-Fi extender) or to a TECW 211 (with build-in Wi-Fi extender). On thi econd device,
connect the “TV+WWW” F connector to the wall outlet (TV port).
To remake the connection to the TV or a DVB-T et top box, o that the ignal i pa ing through
the TEOC 211 (or TECW 211), u e the upplied coaxial fly lead between the TEOC 211 “TV” port
and your TV or STB.
Connect any Ethernet device – Smart TV, Game con ole, Blu-ray player, IP Set top Box etc. u ing
the upplied Ethernet patch cord.
Power up the 2 TEOC 211 device , the link between the device i e tabli hed automatically, thi i
confirmed when the LED i ON. (It may take a few minute to link.). The cable or terre trial
TV ignal can be pa ed through the device.

Connexion to a cable television distribution system

connector on the TEOC 211 adapter. It i e ential that the fir t TEOC 211 adapter i only
connected to an OUTPUT port of the amplifier, a the Ethernet over coax ignal cannot pa
through any amplifier.

Once your network i et, the device connected ( ee LED tatu ), you houldn’t need to get
acce to the TEOC 211 internal parameter . For experimented u er or to do ome pecial
etting (change of the frequency, have higher ecurity, oftware upgrade), a tool called PC Tool to
configure the TEOC 211 i available on www.triax.com
Plea e download thi tool to do additional etting .

3. Detailed settings
In order to etup the device operating channel and ecurity, you can run PC Tool to configure it.
Plea e download the PC tool from the TRIAX web ite and in tall it on your PC:
• Thi tool i for Window 7/8/10. Plea e update to .NET framework 4.0 if needed.
• Make ure that the TEOC 211 device i directly connected to your computer via an
Ethernet cable, and the device i powered on.
• Double-click the file “PC_Tool.exe” to execute PC tool.
• In ca e of the device not connecting or not powered on, the program won’t be able to
detect the device and the alert window will pop up. In thi ca e, connect the device
properly and make ure it’ in power on tatu , and then click “OK”.

Status / PHY rates
The table how the PHY rate of the device connected together.
The normal PHY data rate hould be ≥ 600Mbp . If not achieved, plea e try to reduce the ignal
attenuation (number of coaxial plitter or reduce the length of coaxial cable) between the device .

Thi device can can the exi ting MoCA network within the MoCA predefined
channel . By default the channel D1 (1150MHz) will be u ed. Plea e change all
device operating frequency to enable the communication between them.
