TP-Link TD-W8961ND Manual de usuario

This document will provide you with all the information you need to set up your

TP-Link TD-W8961ND Modem/Router for use with Memory Lane Computers' internet.

Please NOTE:

The following contents should be found in your package:

One TD-W8961ND 300Mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router

One Power Adapter for TD-W8961ND 300Mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router

Quick Installation Guide

One RJ45 cable

Two RJ11 cables

One ADSL splitter

One Resource CD, which includes this User Guide

DO NOT RUN THE DISK

One of the manuals explains how to correctly connect the modem and its cables to your

phone line and computer.

The tag on the router says to run the cd first; again, Do NOT Run The Disk.

Once you have the modem connected to your computer and phone line, power it on –wait

about a minute –and then open a browser (internet explorer, safari, firefox, google chrome) on

your computer.

To Start,

1) First type in 192.168.1.1 in the browser's address bar as shown in the picture below.

2) Click on “Quick Start”

3) Run Wizard

4) Window Opens Up, Then Click ‘Next’

5) Time Zone: Mountain Time

6) Dynamic IP Address

7) Connecting to ADSL Network

8) Configuration

This page is where you configure the wireless component of the router. The

security starts out disabled; we highly encourage our customers to create and

use a Password for their wireless network. The ideal authentication type is

“WPA2-PSK”.

This page contains the settings needed to connect to the ADSL network. They

Need to look the same as above; all you should need to do is change the VPI to 0

and VCI to 33. Leave the connection type alone (unless it’s different from the

image Above). Then Click Next.

You're now done configuring the modem for use with MLC's internet.

However, if this is a Brand New Router we will need the MAC (Media Access Controller)

address in our systems at Memory Lane for the connection to work properly.

It can be obtained from the status page within the router's settings.

Call us at 403-526-2288 and we will help complete this final step.
