I this docume t you will be i troduced how to use 3G mobile router safely. We suggest you
to adhere to followi g recomme datio s to avoid a y damage to perso or property.
You have to be familiar with the safety requireme ts before starti g to use the device!
3G Mobile Router is used to provide a mobile I ter et access usi g a GSM etwork. To
avoid user i jures it is importa t to follow safety requireme ts listed below.

2 PRODUCT OVERVIEW
2.1 Introduction
Telto ika 3G Mobile Router provides WAN co ectivity to wired a d wireless clie ts usi g
the 3G cellular data etwork. It allows multiple users to get a IEEE 802.11 complia t co ectio
withi your wireless broadba d etwork with a si gle 3G data access accou t a d card. 3G Mobile
Router is extremely useful for mobile work teams or emerge cy crews that eed access to the
broadba d I ter et but have o perma e t base. The 3G/IEEE 802.11 router might be a easy
solutio to provide I ter et co ectio for commuter vehicles, such as trai s or compa y buses.
Quickly set up a IEEE 802.11 hotspot I ter et co ectio to check email a d browse the web or
share file.

Note: The ma ufacturer does ot supply the SIM card, which is ma datory for setti g up a
co ectio to the GSM etwork! The SIM card may be purchased from your GSM (mobile) service
provider!

RUT100 will cause damage a d void the warra ty for this product.

2.3 System requirements
A computer with Wi dows®, Maci tosh®, or Li ux-based operati g systems with a etwork
co ectio (wired or wireless).
A web browser I ter et Explorer 6.0, Netscape Navigator™ 6.0, Opera 9.0 or Mozilla 5.0
for co figuratio .

3 GETTING STARTED
3.1 Initial setup
3G Mobile Router e ables to access etwork usi g a wireless co ectio from virtually
a ywhere withi the operati g ra ge of wireless etwork. Before fi di g place to set up access poi t.
some thi gs should be co sidered:
1. Make sure the power outlet is earby as the router requires power supply.
2. Keep the access poi t as ce tral i work area as possible.
3. The umber of walls a d ceili gs betwee the router a d other etwork devices should be
kept to a mi imum as each wall or ceili g probably will reduce adapter’s ra ge from 1-30
meters. Sig al stre gth a d speed fall off with dista ce.
4. Higher is ofte better. Set up the router o the top shelf of a bookcase rather tha the
bottom o e, if it is possible. The a te a usually works best if orie ted to poi t straight up.
5. Buildi g Materials make a differe ce. A solid metal door or alumi um studs may have a
egative effect o ra ge. Try to positio access poi t a d computers so that the sig al passes
through drywall or ope doorways. Materials a d objects such as glass, steel, metal, walls
with i sulatio , mirrors, file cabi ets, bricks, a d co crete will degrade wireless sig al.
6. Keep router away (at least 1-2 meters) from electrical devices or applia ces that ge erate RF
oise.
7. If you are usi g 2.4GHz cordless pho es or X-10 (wireless products such as ceili g fa s,
lights, a d home security systems), your wireless co ectio may degrade dramatically or
drop completely. Make sure your 2.4GHz pho e base is as far away from your wireless
devices as possible. The base tra smits a sig al eve if the pho e i ot i use.
3.2 Connect to network
1. Attach Wireless LAN a d GSM a te as.
•Remove the a te a from its plastic wrapper.
•Screw the a te a i a clockwise directio to the back pa el of the u it.
•Positio the a te a upward at its co ecti g joi t. This will e sure optimal receptio .
2. I sert the SIM card which was give by your GSM (mobile) service provider
3. I sert the Ether et cable i to LAN Port if the router will be co figured usi g wired
co ectio .
4. Co ect the power adapter to the receptor o the fro t pa el of 3G Mobile Router. The
plug the other e d of the power adapter i to a wall outlet or power strip.
Note: SIM card is ma datory for setti g up co ectio to the GSM etwork. However, the
ma ufacturer of this equipme t does ot supply the SIM card. The SIM card ca be purchased from
your GSM (mobile) service provider! For APN, user ame a d password please co tact your GSM
(mobile) service provider. The 3G Mobile Router must be powered off while i serti g or taki g out
the SIM card. If the SIM card will be i serted or take out from the modem while the power is o –
it may cause damage to the modem or the SIM card. I this case, the modem will ot be replaced or
repaired by the guara tee.

4 ROUTER CONFIGURATION
4.1 Connect to router WEB configuration tool using LAN connection
Step 1 Co ect device to the same LAN as Admi istrator computer.
Step 2 Setup Local Area Network adapter o your computer (Go to Start > Settings >
Network Connections Right click o Local Network Connection by selecti g Properties:
Step 3 Setup the Local Area etwork adapter’s IP address (choose Internet Protocol
(TCP/IP) a d click Properties):

Step 4 Setup the Local area etwork adapter to Obtain an IP address automatically or
assig static IP address ma ually withi 192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.254 address ra ge with mask
255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.0.1 a d DNS server 192.168.0.1. Ope the Web browser a d type
the default IP address of the router (192.168.0.1):
Step E ter the 3G Mobile Router admi istrator logi details to access the Web
ma ageme t tool:
The default admi istrator logi setti gs are:
Logi : admin
Password: admin01
Note: It is stro gly recomme ded to cha ge the password after the first router co figuratio .
4.2 Connect to router WEB configuration tool using wireless LAN
connection
Note: the Wireless etwork fu ctio is shipped disabled by default a d the co figuratio for
the first time ca be made o ly usi g wired co ectio .
Step 1 Co ect the power adapter to the device.
Step 2 Setup wireless etwork adapter o your computer (Go to Start>Settings>Network
Connections>Right click o Wireless Network Connection associated with the wireless adapter)
by selecti g Properties:

Step 3 Setup the wireless etwork adapter’s IP address (choose Internet Protocol
