Troubleshooting Checks:
1. Seat feels insecure or moves while riding :
a. Check the Q/R lever ( part no.359-1 ) is correctly adjusted and tightened.
b. Check the saddle is mounted correctly and fixings tightened.
c. Check the Q/R clamp ( part no.321-2 ) is correctly engaged.
d. Check the seat pin is correctly fixed and undamaged.
2. Problems installing the Q/R locking mount (part no.390 ) :
a. With the Q/R locking lever ( part no.390-1 ) installed, check the Q/R locking
mount moves in and out OK, and the spring compresses and releases OK.
b. Check the seat pin is straight and undamaged. A small amount of grease can
be applied to the pin before assembly to ensure smooth motion.
c. The Q/R locking mount ( part no.390 ) can be mounted either way up. Turning
it over may give smooth motion.
d. Check the hole in the Q/R locking mount ( part no.390 ), which fits over the
seat pin.
e. If problems still persist, fit a new Q/R locking mount ( part no.390 ) and seat pin.
3. Q/R locking lever (part no. 390-1 )doesn't fit perfectly on the frame
(rear tube ) :
a. Check the Q/R locking mount ( part no.390 ) and seat molding to see if they
match OK.
b. Try rocking the saddle and seat mounting molding.
c. The pin hole angle doesn't match. ( In this situation, we suggest do not install
the Q/R seat seat mounting until the problem has been identified-maybe fit a
new Q/R locking lever ( part no.390-1 ) and seat pin ).
4. The Q/R lever (part no.359-1 )is not clamping securely :
a. Check the Q/R lever to see if it is correctly tightened and adjusted.
b. Check the nylon washer to see if it is broken or missing.
c. If the Q/R lever, its axle or nylon washer are seriously worn, please replace
them with new ones.
5. If the seat mounting molding doesn't slide smoothly during height adjustments :
a. Check that the Q/R locking lever and mount ( part no.390 and 390-1 ) is fully
pulled out, ( forward at 90 degrees to the seat tube ).
b. Rock the saddle and seat mounting molding from side to side.
c. Loosen the round Q/R adjustment nut slightly.
d. Try to adjust the seat mounting molding again.
