Installation
First of all ...
Before installing your wine cooler, read all safety instructions in this manual, especially
the sections on electrical safety and installation. Then follow the instructions below.
• Remove all packaging materials from around and inside the appliance and dispose
of them responsibly. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and
young children, so make sure all packaging materials are out of reach of children.
• Check to ensure you have all of the following parts:
- 6 chrome bottle shelves
- 2 chrome straight shelves
• Inspect the cord for damage. Do not use the wine cooler if the cord is damaged.
Contact the after sales support line for advice.
• Clean the interior surface with lukewarm water and a soft cloth to remove any dust
from transit and storage.
• Before connecting the wine cooler to the power outlet, let it stand upright for
approximately two hours. This will reduce the possibility of a malfunction in the
cooling system from handling during transport.
Installing the wine cooler
• This appliance is designed to be freestanding only and should not be recessed or
built in (fully recessed).
• Place your wine cooler on a sturdy, level floor that is strong enough to support it
when it is fully loaded.
• To level your wine cooler, adjust the levelling feet at the bottom of the unit.
• To ensure proper air circulation which is necessary for cooling the compressor, allow
125mm of free space at the back and sides of the unit.
• Install the wine cooler:
• Away from direct sunlight, which may affect the acrylic coating.
• Away from heat sources (stove, heater, radiator, etc.), which may increase the
wine cooler’s power consumption.
• In an area without extreme cold ambient temperatures, which may affect the wine
cooler’s efficient performance.
• In an area without excessive moisture and high humidity.
• Plug the wine cooler into an exclusive, properly installed and earthed wall outlet.
Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third (earth) prong from the
power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or earthing should be directed
toward a certified electrician.
• After plugging the appliance into a wall outlet, allow the unit to cool down for two to
three hours before placing items in the compartment.
