Anwendung und Pflege des Gehörschutzes
Alle Gehörschützer, für die diese Gebrauchsanweisung gilt, haben einen
Kopfbügel oder eine Helmbefestigung aus Thermoplast und
schaumstoffgefüllte Dichtungsringe. Dieser Gehörschutz soll den
Benutzer vor gefährlichen Geräuschen schützen, wenn er gemäß dieser
Gebrauchsanleitung verwendet wird. Alle anderen Verwendungen sind
nicht vorgesehen und daher nicht zulässig.
Hiermit erklärt ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG, dass der Gehörschutz
PoP, S2H und Z1C den Anforderungen der PSA EU Verordnung 2016/
425 und anderen geeigneten Richtlinien zur Erfüllung der Anforderungen
der CE-Kennzeichnung entspricht.

Zur Rückverfolgbarkeit finden Sie die Datumsuhr auf der Innenseite der
Hörmuschel.
WARNUNG!
Es ist wichtig, dass die Gebrauchsanleitung befolgt wird. Andernfalls
kann es zu einer drastischen Reduzierung der Lärmdämmung und zu
schweren Verletzungen kommen.
Lesen Sie diese Gebrauchsanleitung sorgfältig durch und bewahren Sie
generell alle Informationen auf.
– Der Gehörschutz muss in lauten Umgebungen immer verwendet
werden, um die volle Schutzwirkung zu erzielen! Nur 100 % Tragezeit
bietet ausreichend Schutz.
– Kein Gehörschutz kann absoluten Schutz vor Gehörschädigungen
bieten. Der Grad der Schutzwirkung hängt von verschiedenen
Einflüssen ab, wie z. B. Dauer der Benutzung und Frequenz der
Lärmquelle.
– Dieser Gehörschutz ist kein Ersatz für eine sichere Arbeitstechnik.
Unsachgemäßer Gebrauch des Motorgerätes kann zu Unfällen
führen. Deshalb unbedingt Sicherheitsbestimmungen der
entsprechenden Behörden (Berufsgenossenschaften o. a.) und
Sicherheitshinweise in der Gebrauchsanleitung des benutzten
Motorgerätes beachten.
– Die Hörbarkeit von Warnsignalen kann bei zu starker
Gehörschutzleistung an einem bestimmten Arbeitsplatz
beeinträchtigt werden, wenn ein Gehörschutz mit einer zu hohen
Lärmdämpfungsleistung in Bezug auf die Lärmumgebung verwendet
wird. Bei angelegtem Gehörschutz ist somit erhöhte Achtsamkeit und
Umsicht erforderlich,weil das Wahrnehmen von Gefahr
ankündigenden Geräuschen (Schreie, Signaltöne u.a.) eingeschränkt
ist.
– Gewisse chemische Substanzen können eine zerstörerische Wirkung
auf dieses Produkt haben. Weitere Informationen erhalten Sie beim

Hersteller.
– Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Gehörschutz regelmäßig auf seine
Funktionsfähigkeit überprüft wird.
– Jegliche Veränderungen des Produkts können die Schutzwirkung
negativ beeinflussen. Deshalb keinesfalls Veränderungen am Produkt
vornehmen. Verändertes Produkt unverzüglich entsorgen.
– Den Gehörschutz vor jeder Benutzung auf einwandfreien Zustand
überprüfen (beispielsweise optischer Zustand des Produkts). Bei
Schäden oder Veränderungen das Produkt unverzüglich entsorgen.
– Die schalldämpfenden Eigenschaften des Gehörschutzes können bei
Verwendung von z.B. dicken Brillenfassungen, Skimasken/
Sturmmaske usw. drastisch abnehmen.
– Die Verwendung von Schweiß-/Hygieneschutz über den Dichtringen
kann die Schalldämmeigenschaften des Gehörschutzes reduzieren.
– Der Kapselgehörschutz, insbesondere die Dichtungskissen, können
bei Gebrauch nachlassen und sollten in regelmäßigen Abständen auf
Risse und Undichtigkeiten untersucht werden.
– Entsorgen Sie das Produkt unverzüglich, wenn es Anzeichen von
Rissen oder Beschädigungen aufweist.
– Unsachgemäße Reinigung und Pflege kann die Schutzwirkung des
Produktes negativ beeinflussen. Bitte nur wie in dieser
Gebrauchsanleitung vorgeschrieben Reinigen und Pflegen.
– Reinigen Sie das Produkt mit milder Seife. Sie müssen sicherstellen,
dass das von Ihnen verwendete Reinigungsmittel die Haut nicht reizt.
Tauchen Sie das Produkt nicht in Wasser.
– Der Gehörschutz muss in einer trockenen und sauberen Umgebung,
geschützt vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung, gelagert werden, z.B. in
der Originalverpackung.
Montage & Einstellung
:Entfernen Sie alle Haare im Bereich der Ohren und setzen Sie den
Gehörschutz auf die Ohren, so dass er bequem und fest sitzt. Achten
Sie darauf, dass die Ohren vollständig von den Gehörschutzkapseln
umschlossen sind und dass Sie einen gleichmäßigen Druck um die
Ohren herum spüren.
:Kopfbügel (Abbildung A): Stellen Sie die Größe des Kopfbügels so
ein, dass er leicht auf dem Kopf aufliegt.
:Helmmontage (Abbildung B): Diese Kapselgehörschützer dürfen nur
an dem folgenden Arbeitsschutzhelm montiert und verwendet
werden: STIHL FUNCTION Basic.
Schieben Sie die Helmhalterung des Gehörschutzes in die
Helmaufnahme, bis sie hörbar einrastet. Setzen Sie den
Gehörschutz auf die Ohren und drücken Sie ihn nach innen bis ein
Klicken zu hören ist. Stellen Sie den Gehörschutz und Helm so ein,

dass diese bequem und sicher auf dem Kopf sitzen.
Hygienesatz
– für S2H: 0000 884 0518
– für Z1C: 0000 884 0564
Die Dichtungskissen müssen regelmäßig (mindestens einmal pro
Halbjahr) und abhängig von der Nutzungsdauer ausgetauscht werden.
:Wählen Sie den richtigen Hygienesatz für Ihren Gehörschutz.
:Nur original STIHL Ersatzteile verwenden.
Hygienesatz wechseln
:Ziehen Sie den alten Dichtungsring ab (Illustration C).
:Alte Schaumstoffeinlage entfernen und neue Schaumstoffeinlage
einlegen (Illustration D).
:Neuen Dichtungsring über die Gehörschutzkapsel legen und
ausrichten (Illustration E).
:Außenkanten des Dichtungsringes andrücken bis er rundum
einrastet und fest an der Gehörschutzkapsel anliegt (Illustration F).

Verwendung und Wartung gemäß AS/NZS 1270 kann dieser
Gehörschutz bei Geräuschen bis zu 110 dB(A) unter Annahme eines
85 dB(A)-Kriteriums verwendet werden. Ein niedrigeres Kriterium kann
eine höhere Schutzklasse erfordern.
Kapselgehörschützer nach EN 352-3 sind von mittlerer Größe oder
kleiner Größe oder großer Größe. Kapselgehörschützer im mittleren
Größenbereich passen den meisten Benutzern. Gehörschutzkapseln mit
kleinen oder großen Größen wurden für Benutzer entwickelt, für die
Gehörschutzkapseln mittlerer Größe nicht geeignet sind.

Use and care of the earmuffs
All the hearing protectors which are included in this instruction sheet are
equipped with a thermoplastic headband or spring-arms and foam plastic
filled cushions. This hearing protector is intended to protect the wearer
from hazardous noise levels when fitted in accordance with these user
instructions. Any other uses are not intended and therefore not allowed.
Hereby, ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG declares that the hearing
protectors PoP, S2H and Z1C are in compliance with the
PPE regulation EU 2016/425 and other appropriate directives to fulfil the
requirements of CE marking.

WARNING!
It is important that the instructions for use are followed. Failure to do so
could result in a drastic reduction in the noise attenuation and may lead
to serious injury.
Read these instructions carefully and keep all information in a safe place.
– The hearing protector must be used at all times in noisy environments
to provide the full protection effect! Only 100% wear time provides full
protection.
– No hearing protection can provide complete protection against
hearing damage. The level of protection depends on a number of
factors, such as the duration of usage and the frequency of the noise
source.
– These earmuffs are no substitute for safe working techniques.
Improper use of the power tool may result in accidents. For this reason
it is important to observe all local safety regulations, standards and
ordinances as well as the safety precautions in the instruction manual
of the power tool you are using.
– The audibility of warning signals at a specific workplace may be
impaired if over protected, when using a hearing protector with a too
high noise attenuation performance in relation to the noise
environment. Be particularly alert and cautious when wearing hearing
protection because your ability to hear warnings (shouts, alarms, etc.)
is restricted.
– Certain chemical substances can have a destructive effect on this
product. More information is available from the manufacturer.
– Ensure that the hearing protectors are regularly inspected for
serviceability.
– Modifications to the product may have a negative influence on its
protective function. For this reason do not attempt to modify the
product in any way. Immediately discard products that have been

modified.
– Before each use, check the condition of the product (e.g. optical
condition of product). Discard the product immediately if it is damaged
or has been modified.
– The hearing protector’s noise attenuating properties can dramatically
decrease with usage of for example thick spectacle frames, ski masks/
balaclavas, etc.
– Use of perspiration/hygienic protection over the sealing rings can
reduce the hearing protector’s noise attenuation properties.
– Earmuffs, and in particular cushions, may deteriorate with use and
should be examined at frequent intervals for cracking and leakage.
– Immediately discard the product if showing signs of cracks or damage.
– Improper cleaning and care may have a negative influence on the
product’s protective function. Please follow the cleaning and care
instructions.
– Clean the product with mild soap. You must be sure that the detergent
you use does not irritate the skin. Do not dip the product in water.
– The hearing protector must be stored in a dry and clean environment,
out of direct sun light, e.g. in its original packaging.
Fitting & adjustment
:Brush away all hair from the ears and place the hearing protectors
over the ears so that they fit comfortably and snugly. Ensure that the
ears are completely enclosed by the hearing protectors and that you
have even pressure around the ears.
:Headband (Illustration A): Adjust the headband size so that it rests
lightly against the crown of your head.
:Helmet/Cap mount (Illustration B): These earmuffs should be fitted
to, and used only with the following industrial safety helmets:
STIHL FUNCTION Basic. Push the hearing protectors helmet
attachment into the helmet slot until it locks into position. Place the
hearing protectors over the ears and press inwards until you hear a
click. Adjust the hearing protectors and helmet so that they fit
comfortably and snugly on your head.

Pads should be replaced regularly (at least every six months), depending
on the duration of use.
:Choose the appropriate hygiene set for your ear protection.
:Always use original STIHL parts.

:Pull off old pad (Illustration C).
:Remove foam insert and insert new foam insert (Illustration D).
:Position new pad over ear defender and align (Illustration E).
:Press outer edges of pad firmly until pad lies snugly against ear
defender all the way round (Illustration F).

used and maintained as specified in AS/NZS 1269, this protector may be
used in noise up to 110 dB(A) assuming an 85 dB(A) criterion. A lower
criterion may require a higher protector class.
Earmuffs complying with EN 352-3 are of medium size range or small size
range or large size range. Medium size range earmuffs will fit the majority
of wearers. Small size range or large size range earmuffs are designed
to fit wearers for whom medium size range earmuffs are not suitable.

Utilisation et entretien des protège-oreilles
Tous les protège-oreilles pour lesquels la présente Notice d'emploi est
applicable sont munis d'un serre-tête ou d'un système de fixation sur le
casque en thermoplastique et de coussins d'étanchéité remplis de
matière cellulaire. Les protège-oreilles sont conçus pour protéger
l'utilisateur contre les dangers causés par le bruit. À cet effet, les protège-
oreilles doivent être utilisés conformément aux instructions de la présente
Notice d'emploi. Toute autre utilisation n'est pas prévue et n'est donc pas
autorisée.
Par la présente, ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG déclare que les
protège-oreilles PoP, S2H et Z1C satisfont aux exigences du règlement
PSA UE 2016/425 et d'autres directives applicables et remplit ainsi les
conditions requises pour l'attribution du label CE.

AVERTISSEMENT !

– Pour pleinement bénéficier de la protection auditive, il faut
continuellement porter les protège-oreilles chaque fois que l'on se
trouve dans une ambiance bruyante ! Ces protège-oreilles ne peuvent
offrir une protection suffisante que s'ils sont portés continuellement.
– Aucune protection auditive ne peut offrir une protection absolue contre
les lésions de l'ouïe. L'efficacité de la protection dépend de différents
facteurs, par ex. de la durée d'utilisation et de la fréquence de la
source sonore.
– Ces protège-oreilles ne dispensent pas d'appliquer une technique de
travail de sécurité. L'utilisation inadéquate de la machine peut être à
l'origine d'accidents. C'est pourquoi il faut impérativement respecter
les règles de sécurité des services compétents (caisses d'assurances
mutuelles et autres) et suivre aussi les indications de la Notice
d'emploi de la machine utilisée.
– Si l'atténuation du bruit est trop efficace pour un poste de travail
considéré, on risque de ne pas bien entendre des signaux
d'avertissement sonores, lorsqu'on porte des protège-oreilles trop
performants par rapport au bruit ambiant. En travaillant avec des
protège-oreilles, il faut donc faire tout particulièrement attention –
parce que des bruits signalant un danger (cris, signaux sonores etc.)
sont moins bien perceptibles.
