Welcome
Welcome to a world of better hearing!
We understand that hearing loss can have an adverse
effect on quality of life. That is why we are committed
to building hearing aids of the highest quality. Your
new hearing aid will soon become indispensable to
you, and make your life more fulfilled and enjoyable.
Your new GOhear-in hearing aid has been programmed
to match your individual hearing loss profile to help
enhance your hearing and so improve your ability to
understand and follow conversations.
A period of adjustment may be necessary to become
used to your new hearing aid and the restored world of
sound you will experience. The adjustment time varies
for each individual and may last as little as two weeks
or as long as several months. Allow yourself time to
become familiar with sounds you have not heard for a
long time.
Before using your hearing aid, please read this user
guide thoroughly.

Fitting the Correct Tip
Each hearing aid is available with a choice of three tips.
You will notice a tip has already been fitted to your
hearing aid. If, after properly inserting your hearing
aid into your ear, you experience whistling when the
volume is turned up, or it is too loose or tight, you, or
your Sonetik Specialist, can exchange this tip for one
of a different size. Before
removing the tip, please take
note as to how it was fitted,
so that when you replace it
you will know the correct
placement on the nozzle.
NOTE: Once you find the size tip that best suits your
ear, fill in the appropriate section on the hearing test
result sheet that you were given after your hearing
consultation. This will serve as a reminder when it
becomes necessary to re-order replacement tips.

Left and Right Hearing Aids
If you are wearing hearing aids in both ears, it is important
to use the correct device for each ear. The hearing aid
for the right ear has a «red» shell and for the left ear a
«blue» shell.
Turning Your Hearing Aid On
To turn your hearing aid
«on», you simply need to
close the battery door after
inserting a battery.
Turning Your Hearing Aid Off
Apply light pressure on the notch on the battery door,
and swing the door open until the battery is fully visible.
Your hearing aid is now «off».
When the hearing aid is not in use, it is recommended
that you always open the battery door fully. This helps
prevent excessive battery drain and allows proper
ventilation of the hearing aid.

Inserting and Removing Your Hearing Aid
This hearing aid should fit comfortably and easily in your
ear. Your Sonetik Specialist will provide instructions on
proper insertion and removal.
To insert a hearing aid, grasp the
removal line between your thumb and
forefinger, so that the sound outlet
of the hearing aid points at you and
the product information printed on
the hearing aid is facing away from
you. Move your hand to the ear canal entrance and
gently push the hearing aid into your ear canal until the
faceplate covers it up. When properly inserted it should
not stick out of the ear canal entrance.
To remove your hearing aid, locate and grasp the removal
line between your thumb and forefinger and slowly pull
the hearing aid from your ear.
CAUTION: In the unlikely event that the tip should
come off and remain in your ear, go immediately to your
physician to have it removed. NEVER insert anything into
your ear in an attempt to remove the tip.
Selecting Your Program
Refer to the hearing test result that you received from
your Sonetik Specialist to find the base program for your
