6. Connect the plug of the power cable only to a properly grounded mains
socket.
7. Before switching on the appliance, make sure it is correctly assembled
anddust container and lters are properly installed. Do not use the
appliance without a dust container or lters.
8. Pull the plug out of the socket before cleaning or servicing the appliance.
9. Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight. Do not place the
appliance near open ames or appliances that are a source of heat.
10. Use only the accessories supplied with the appliance or recommended
by the manufacturer.
11. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance, its
power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
12. Route the power cord so that it does not touch a hot surface or sharp
objects. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or work
surface.
13. Do not block the vents while the appliance is switched on.
14. Do not use the appliance for vacuuming:
‐water or other liquids;
‐smouldering cigarettes, burning objects, matches or hot ashes;
‐ ammable or volatile substances;
‐sharp objects such as glass shards, needles, pins, etc.;
‐ our, wall plaster, construction materials;
‐large pieces of paper and plastic bags – these could clog the suction
aperture.
15. When vacuuming some types of oor coverings, an electrostatic charge
may be generated which poses no danger to the user.
16. Do not place the suction nozzle or tube against any part of the face or
body.
17. Switch off and unplug the appliance when not in use, if it stays
unattended, before cleaning, moving or storing. Always allow the
appliance to cool completely before cleaning, moving or storing it.
18. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged, has fallen, is not working
properly, or if the power cord or fork, hose, HEPA lter, or any other part
of the appliance is damaged. Do not use the appliance with damaged
accessories. Entrust the repair to an authorized service center only. The
appliance does not contain parts that can be repaired by the user. All
repairs, adjustments or other than normal maintenance may only be
carried out by a qualied authorized service person.
19. Unplug the appliance by pulling on the plug, not the cord. Otherwise,
the power cord or outlet may be damaged. We recommend holding the
cable by hand when winding.
