ABOUT THE SIGHTMARK SM650 RANGEFINDER
This advanced technology rangefinder incorporates a water resistant design so it can be used for sports,

INTERNAL DISPLAY
1. Reticle: Use it to take aim at the target. Position the target at the center of the reticle.
2. Distance and Measurement Status Display: Digitally indicates measured distance in meters or yards.
3. Distance Range Setting: Digitally indicates setting of measurement range.
4. Measurement Setting: Digitally indicated distance being measured in meters/yards.
5. Laser Quality Display: Digitally indicates the strength of the laser during measurement.

BATTERIES
The Sightmark SM650 Rangefinder uses 1 CR2 (3V) lithium battery. Refer to the picture for battery instal-
lation instructions.
Battery Life: Approximately 8,000 times (at 20°C). Target focusing, measurement and automatic Power Off
are included in a single cycle. This figure may differ according to temperature and other factors, such as
target shape, color, etc.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Please strictly observe the following guidelines so you can use the equipment properly and avoid potentially
hazardous problems. The use of adjustments and controls, or performance procedures, in a way not speci-
fied herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
1. Battery installation: Install a battery in the battery compartment (see Batteries).
2. Diopter adjustment: Adjust the diopter to obtain a clear image in the LCD. First, rotate the eyepiece diop-
ter adjustment ring counterclockwise until it comes to a complete stop. Second, turn on the device and aim
your reticle at a distance of approximately 50 yards/meters. Rotate the diopter adjustment ring clockwise

until the display comes into focus and the target is seen as sharp as possible. If the diopter is not adjusted
to your particular eyesight, you may not be able to clearly focus your target.
3. Measuring: To measure the distance to a target, follow these steps:

4. Selection of Unit of Measure: To change the Unit of Measure, hold down the MODE button for 3 seconds.
The display will change from METERS to YARDS or from YARDS to METERS.
5. Distance Range Setting: To change the Distance Range Setting on the display to reflect the approximate
range of your target, press the MODE button once after the device has been turned on to rotate from >150
meters/yards to <150 meters/yards. The display will show >150 when set to measure distances greater than
150 meters/yards and will show nothing when set to measure distances of less than 150 meters/yards.
CAUTION: The use of adjustments and controls, or performance procedures, in a way not specified in this
manual, may result in hazardous radiation exposure.

1. Never look directly at the laser beam or directly at the sun when using the SM650 Laser Rangefinder.
2. Do not press the POWER button while looking into the objective lens or the detector aperture system.
3. Do not operate the unit with other additional optical elements, such as lenses or binoculars. Using an opti-
cal instrument together with the SM650 Laser Rangefinder increases the danger of damaging the eyes.
4. Do not disassemble the SM650 Laser Rangefinder. A product that has been disassembled is not guaran-
teed by the manufacturer.
WARNING
CAUTION
1. Do not leave the SM650 Laser Rangefinder within reach of small children.
2. Rain, water, sand and mud should be removed from the rangefinder body surface as soon as possible,
using a soft, clean, dry cloth.
3. Although the SM650 Laser Rangefinder is water and dust resistant, it is not waterproof and should not be
used in water.
4. Do not leave the SM650 Laser Rangefinder in an unstable place, as it may fall and cause damage to the
equipment.
