Resolution of 1080p panelResolution of 720p panel

A full HD panel with 1920 x 1080 pixels delivers 100 percent of

the high-definition signal, compared to a conventional HD

(W-XGA) panel, which delivers 50 percent of the number of

pixels. With 6.2 million dots, a full HD panel delivers high-

resolution pictures with twice the precision—for more detailed,

more beautiful images. Full high-definition is the clear solution

for the HD era.

10-BIT PANEL*

Sharp’s professional-class 10-bit LCD panels deliver far more than

just 64 times the level of colour expression than an 8-bit panel.

Enjoy vastly improved natural colour reproduction and more

vibrant hues, with vivid reds, clear blues, and lush, lifelike greens.

Sharp’s 10-bit panels display over 1.07 billion colours for a wider

colour spectrum with smoother transitions between adjacent

colour gradations, painting an eye-pleasing radiant canvas for a

SUPERLUCENT TECHNOLOGY

Sharp’s proprietary Advanced Super View (ASV) Superlucent

panel delivers a dramatically brighter and crisper picture by

reducing haze and reflectivity from the panel’s polarizing glass

plate. Conventional LCD panels suffer from light reflection and

diffusion caused by a rough-textured polarizing plate surface,

resulting in cloudy frosted-glass picture quality. Sharp applies an

ultra-smooth polished finish to the Superlucent ASV panel’s

polarizing glass plate that minimizes outside light diffusion and

reflection, and delivers balanced light control boosting black

levels and intensifying perceived panel brightness and contrast.

LCD EXPERTISE

With over 35 years of LCD research and development, Sharp is committed to the advancement

of LCD technology. In 2001, Sharp unveiled AQUOS, Canada’s first LCD flat panel television, a

television that combined ground-breaking and space-saving design with superior picture quality

and low power consumption. As the leader in LCD television, Sharp has continually led the

industry with technological innovations and improvements to push boundaries and heighten the

experience of the television viewer.

120Hz FINE MOTION ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY*

Most televisions display one image frame every 1/60th of a second, but with Sharp’s proprietary

120Hz Fine Motion Advanced, one image frame is displayed every 1/120th of a second. Using

interpolation techniques, Sharp’s advanced image processor creates additional frames to smooth the

transition between each frame of video. The result: sharp images and smooth motion

during action scenes for a superior film-like entertainment experience.

AQUOS ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS

Feel green while enjoying the phenomenal picture quality of Sharp’s “eco-friendly” AQUOS LCD

TVs. AQUOS televisions consume approximately one third less energy than other flat panel

technologies and are manufactured using environmentally conscious methods in Sharp’s Kameyama

factory located in apan. Designed as a “Super Green” factory, the Kameyama plant employs ultra

efficient photovoltaic power generation systems and cogeneration systems to supply approximately

one-third of the plant’s energy needs and reduces the plant’s CO2emissions by 40%. In addition,

the plant collects 100% of the waste water from the production process and recycles it using water

purification technology
