BariBar English
BariBar is a four-point aluminium/steel sling bar which is used, in combination with a correctly fitted lifting sling and a
ceiling lift unit approved by Handicare, for lifting of users weighing up to 454 kg/1000 lbs. BariBar opens up the lifting
sling to provide more space and a more reclined seated position, which is suitable for larger and heavier and/or
pain-sensitive users. BariBar is very easy to use. The built-in adjustment function automatically adapts the sling bar to
each user for optimal comfort. Reliable safety latches prevent the lifting sling straps from creeping out of the sling bar.
Visual inspection
Check product function regularly. Ensure that the material is free from damage. If damage is apparent, the product must
be discarded.
Always read the manuals for all assistive devices used during the transfer.
Keep the manual where it is easily accessible for users of the product.

Lifting with BariBar
1. Use an approved lifting sling.
2. Place the BariBar with the main bar directly over the user and with the hooks marked
with head symbols pointing towards the users back and head.
3. First, connect the lifting sling’s back loops.
4. Then, connect the leg support loops.
5. Apply tension and ensure that everything is correct before starting to lift. If the user is
uncomfortable, stop lifting.

The maximum load for BariBar is 454 kg.
Different products in the complete lift system (lift unit, sling bar, scales and other accessories) may be rated for different
max. loads. The lowest rated max. load always determines the max. load for the entire system. Always check the max.
load for the lift unit and lifting accessories before use, and contact your dealer when in doubt.
BariBar is made of aluminium and steel. The lift hooks are equipped with safety
latches. BariBar must be used in combination with ceiling lift units that are
recommended by Handicare.
All four hooks must always be used.

Operation
When moving the BariBar without any load applied, hold the side bar with one or both
hands to prevent it from swinging.
When load is applied, use both the sling bar and the lifting sling to manoeuvre.

BariBarWrap
BariBar must always be fitted with BariBarWrap, a wipeable protection cover for secure handling of the sling bar.
Cleaning
If necessary, clean with warm water or a soap solution. Do not use cleaning agents containing phenol or chlorine, as
this could damage the aluminium and the plastic materials. If disinfection is needed, 70 % ethanol, 45 % isopropanol or
similar should be used.

Installing BariBar
Lower the lift strap and loosen the two screws on either end of the threaded pin. Insert the BariBar’s lift point into the
H-adapter and replace the threaded pin. Replace the two screws with the lock washers. Use two 4 mm Allen keys to
tighten the screws.

BariBar
BariBar är en fyrpunktsbygel i aluminium/stål som används för att, tillsammans med en korrekt utprovad lyftsele och en
taklyftsmotor godkänd av Handicare, lyfta brukare som väger upp till 454 kg. BariBar öppnar upp lyftselen, skapar ökat
utrymme och ger en mer tillbakalutad sittställning, vilket passar bra för större och tyngre och/eller smärtkänsliga brukare.
BariBar är mycket enkel att använda. Den inbyggda justeringsfunktionen anpassar automatiskt lyftbygeln efter varje
brukare, vilket ger maximal komfort. Säkra urkrokningsskydd förhindrar att lyftbanden/öglorna kryper ut ur lyftbygeln.
Visuell inspektion
Gör regelbundna funktionskontroller av produkten. Kontrollera att materialen är hela och fria från skador. Vid tecken på
slitage skall produkten kasseras.

Lyft med BariBar
1. Använd utprovad lyftsele
2. Placera BariBar med huvudbygeln tvärs över brukaren, med krokarna markerade
med huvudsymbol pekande mot brukarens rygg och huvud.
3. Haka först på lyftselens ryggöglor.
4. Haka därefter på benstödens öglor.
5. Sträck upp och kontrollera så att allt ser rätt ut innan påbörjat lyft. Avbryt lyftet vid
obehag.
Produktbeskrivning av BariBar
Maxlast
Maxlast för BariBar är 454 kg.
Olika produkter i den sammansatta lyftenheten (lyft, lyftbygel, lyftsele, våg och eventuella andra lyfttillbehör) kan ha olika
tillåtna maxlaster. Det är alltid den lägsta tillåtna maxlasten på respektive produkt i den sammansatta lyftenheten som styr.
Kontroller alltid tillåten maxlast på lyft och lyfttillbehör före användning och kontakta din återförsäljare vid frågor.
BariBar är tillverkad av aluminium och stål.
BariBar ska kombineras med en av Handicare rekommenderad och godkänd taklyft.
Lyftkrokarna är utrustade med urkrokningsskydd.
Alla fyra krokar måste alltid användas vid lyft med BariBar.

Handhavande
När BariBar flyttas utan vikt; placera en eller två händer på sidobygeln för att begränsa
eventuell pendelrörelse.
När BariBar är belastad används både bygel och lyftsele för enkel manövrering.

BariBar ska alltid vara försedd med BariBarWrap som är ett avspritningsbart skydd för en säker hantering av
fyrpunktsbygeln.
Rengöring
Vid behov, rengör med varmt vatten eller tvållösning. Använd inte rengöringsmedel som innehåller fenol eller klor då detta
kan skada aluminiumet och plastmaterialen. Vid behov av desinficering kan 70 % etanol, 45 % isopropanol eller liknande
användas.
