INSTALLATION OF GPRS MODEM
INTO AGRÓNIC 4000
INSTALLATION IN WALL "BOX" MODEL
MATERIALS INCLUDED:
Circuit with GPRS modem, power cable, data cable and antenna cable.
Antenna with cable.
3 self-tapping screws.
2 strips of indicator tape.
ASSEMBLY:
1. Disconnect the equipment from a power supply.
2. Make a hole to place the antenna cable connector. See photo:
3. Remove the 4 screws that hold the keypad to the box. Take the keypad off.
4. Screw the modem into the equipment using the 3 self-tapping screws provided. See photo:
5. Place the antenna connector into the hole made in the box, fastening it via the split washer and nut
(see previous photo).
6. Connect the power cable to the H6 telephone connector on the relay board, and the data cable to the
RS-232 serial port of the control circuit. See photo:
7. Place the SIM card into the corresponding slot, having previously deactivated the card's PIN.
8. Connect the antenna, placing it at an elevated point so that it has the best visibility toward the
GSM/GPRS unit and has proper coverage.
9. If all of the steps for installing the GPRS modem have been completed, the only thing left is to turn on
the equipment and perform the corresponding configuration, using the manual provided.
NOTE: For models that have more than 32 outputs, the H6 connector on the relay board is occupied
by the extension cable that goes to the secondary box. In this case, a telephone adapter is provided that al-
lows you to connect the 2 power cables to the H6 connector.
Do not turn on the equipment without first having connected the antenna; other-
wise, the modem may suffer damage.
INSTALLATION IN MODEL FOR "EMBEDDING"
INCLUDED MATERIALS:
Circuit with GPRS modem, power cable, data cable and antenna cable.
Antenna with cable.
2 screws and 2 washers.
Indicator tape.
Nut, split washer, bushing
and plastic washer.
ASSEMBLY:
1. Disconnect the equipment from a power supply.
2. Remove the box from the cabinet.
3. If the box has not been machined for the modem and the antenna, this must be done with the dimen-
sions that are indicated in the drawing below.
4. Remove the 8 screws that hold the keypad to the box. Separate the keypad from the box.
5. Screw the model into the equipment using the 2 screws provided. Place the antenna connector into the
corresponding hole using the supplied bushing. See photo:
6. Connect the power cable to the H6 telephone connector on the relay board and the data cable into the
RS-232 serial port of the control circuit (see previous photo).
7. Place the SIM card into the corresponding slot, having previously deactivated the card's PIN.
8. Connect the antenna, placing it at an elevated point so that it has the best visibility toward the
GSM/GPRS unit and has proper coverage.
9. If all of the steps for installing the GPRS modem have been completed, the only thing left is to turn on
the equipment and perform the corresponding configuration, using the manual provided.
