How to Weigh
• The fluid ounce and milliliter measures are an
approximation of fluid measures and assume that you
are measuring a liquid such as oil or water. Densities of
different liquids vary.
• Pounds (lb.), ounces (oz.), kilograms (kg), and grams (g)
measure the weight of solid foods, such as meat, vegetable,
flour, and sugar.
• Fluid ounces (fl. oz.) or milliliters (ml) measure volume, such
as milk, juice, and water.
NOTE: Each button will beep when pressed.
1. Place the scale on a hard, flat, level surface.
2. Press the ON (I)/OFF
( )
button. The control panel displays
“88.8.8.8,” then “0.0g” when it is ready to weigh.
3. Press MODE button to select lb., kg, ml., fl. oz., oz., or g.
4. Place item on glass weighing area. The weight will display
on control panel and will increase as you add weight or
decrease as you remove weight.
5. Press ON (I)/OFF
( )
button when finished weighing. The
scale will automatically turn off after 90 seconds if a button
has not been pressed.
NOTES:
• When taring, make sure your container fits on the weighing
area.
• Press HOLD button at any time to lock the current weight
on display for 20 seconds. The display will show “hold.”
Press HOLD button to unlock display.
• When the weight is locked, press the MODE button to change
the unit. The weight will still be locked. Refresh the HOLD by
pressing the TARE button to reset the display to “0.0g” and
unlock.

5
How to Tare
The tare of a container is its weight when it’s empty, which is
important to know when you can’t weigh something without
putting it into a container first. For example, water or olive oil
could not be measured without being in a bowl or pitcher.
1. Place the bowl you want to use to weigh your ingredients
on the weighing area.
2. Press ON (I)/OFF
( )
button. The display should show
“0.0g.” Add ingredients and display will show weight of
ingredients added.
3. If you want to add another ingredient, press TARE button
and display will show “tare” and “0.0g.”
4. Add your next item to the bowl. The weight will show on
the display.
NOTES:
• When you remove the bowl from the scale, a “–” will appear
beneath “tare” on the display along with a negative number.
• Do not exceed 13.33 lbs./6.0 kg on this scale.

6
Troubleshooting
• “EEEE” displays on the control
panel for 3 seconds and will beep
6 times when too much weight is
on the scale (6,050 g or more).
The scale will automatically turn off after 3 seconds and
save the weight or volume mode. Remove some weight
from the scale.
• “Lo” and “ ” display on the
control panel for 1 second when
the battery is low. The scale will
automatically turn off if the battery
strength goes below 2.8 V.
Replace 9-volt battery.
• “UnSt“ displays on control panel
if scale is not on a secure, flat
surface for 10 seconds.
