li the awning into place.

The awning and frame may be supplied with a plasc

wrapper. This should be removed prior to use.

Plasc bags can be dangerous to children and babies.

Keep out of the reach of babies and children to avoid

**The coach bolt and plugs supplied are for reinforced

concrete or brick walls.

The awnings may be installed on wooden walls if the

wall is suciently strong. Use appropriate screw-

workmanship for one year from the date of delivery.

Faulty parts will be replaced or exchanged within that

period. The guarantee covers domesc use only.

Height of awning:

The recommended height from the ground is

2.5m-3.5m. If you want to install lower than this,

determine whether there is sucient headroom when

the awning is fully extended and that any doors can

open.

Required headroom:

- Allow 20cm above any door frame and check that

when opened the door will not interfere with the

awning.

- As a guideline, the awning has a drop of 30 cm (2m

projecon) to 45cm (2.5m projecon) at a slope of 15

degrees below the horizontal.

The recommended slope is pre-set at the factory and

should not require any major adjustment. The angle

of drop can be adjusted with a spanner any me aer

ng: from approx 15 – 30 degrees.

Horizontal posioning of brackets:

Using laser, spirit level or other method, mark an

accurate horizontal line at the required height.

Fixing must be directly into brick or concrete. Mortar

joints between the bricks or blocks will NOT be secure

enough to bolt into.

Installing onto wooden houses and chalets:

You can install 1.5m -3.5m awnings onto wooden

walls and chalets providing that the wall has adequate

strength to support the weight of the awning. Always

ensure that the wall brackets are securely ed onto the

outside of strong wooden wall studs.

The wall bolts provided in the ng kit will not be

suitable for securing to wooden studs; therefore you

will need to purchase Coach Bolts or Coach Screws of

sucient length and diameter from your local hardware

store to replace the wall bolts (expansion bolts)

provided. If you are unsure, consult a qualied structural

engineer for expert advice.

If in doubt about the quality of the wall structure you

are wanng to mount the awning on, you can use an

epoxy resin product to secure the mounngs in the

wall.

1. When aaching the wall brackets on the torsion bar.

Measure the awning with a ruler and note down the

bracket posion (holes).

2. Draw a horizontal line in the posion of the required

height as shown in the diagram.

3. Make marks onto the wall, through the holes at the

base of the bracket.

Please double check your measurements thoroughly

before drilling holes into your wall, especially if you’re

using a template. We will not be held responsible for

any errors or incorrect measurements.

4. Use a hammer-acon electric drill with a 14mm bit.

Do NOT drill through mortar as this will not provide

sasfactory strength to hold the wall expansion bolts.

5. Drill 100mm holes into brick or concrete wall in exact

posion chosen for wall brackets.

6. Insert the expansion plug all the way through and

then insert the bolt into the wall plug.

The bolt must sck out of the wall in order to aach the

wall bracket and washer. (View Step 3)

Step 3: Aach the brackets

1. Insert the plasc wall plug into the wall.

2. Fit the bracket into place over the washer and wall

bolt. Tighten with a socket spanner, the plasc wall

plug will expand.

3. Ensure the bracket is ght against wall before ng

the awning as the weight of the awning could pull the

brackets out of the wall. If any movement is detected,

further ghten the nuts.

Step 4: Install the awning

Note:

To install 1.5m–3.5m half cassee awning we

recommend to use two step ladders with two people.

4.0m–6.0m awnings are very heavy, more than three

people will be required to li the awning into place.

Scaold towers may be required when installing 4m

-6m awnings. Do not aempt to li this unit onto the

wall brackets without assistance.

Li both ends of the awning unit unl the cassee

(body) slides into the wall brackets. Ensure the fabric is

feeding from the top and not the boom.

Fix the retaining bolts (2 per bracket) through the wall

brackets to the external bracket (on the back of the

half cassee) to secure the awning unit in place. Fit the

nut onto the bolt and ghten.

Check that both the wall bracket and the retaining

bolts are ghtened securely.

Step 5: Levelling the front bar –

Adjust the angle

The built-in spirit level in the front bar will show you if

the front bar is level. The air bubble should be precisely

in the centre. If the awning is not level when fully

extended, adjust the slope of one arm.

Although level when fully projected, the awning may not

be perfectly level when fully retracted – this is normal.

The awning is usually supplied with the most ideal

pre-set angle of lt. When fully opened, the front bar

should be level. The angle can however be adjusted

(adjustment on the arms next to the cassee body).

1. Loosen the 17mm locking nuts on both sides of the

arms and then turning the 13mm jack bolts to the

desired angle.

2. Check the built-in spirit level in the middle on the

front bar of the awning. Damage could result if the

front bar isn’t horizontal.

3. Adjust the arm unl the front side is level.

4. Securely ghten up the 17mm locking nuts..

Note:

Make sure all the angle is adjusted at the same level

- any slight misalignment will result in the awning

not retracng properly or when the awning is fully

projected, one side of the front bar will be higher than

the other.

Ideally, project the awning fully out and then adjust the

level of the front bar by eye or with a spirit level.

Step 6: Wiring the electrics –

Remote control kit

(THIS STEP APPLIES TO ELECTRIC AWNINGS ONLY)

Our awnings can either be ed with a plug or wired

into the mains socket. If you choose to wire into the

mains you should consult a qualied electrician. The

following summarises how the wiring works for the

remote control kit and also the indoor wall switch.

A. Remote control kit:

connect the receiver box to the mains

The remote control receiver box should be posioned

indoors or within a waterproof box.

1. Connect the 4 core cable from the awning to the main

receiver box (LREN)

2. Connect the 3 core cable (Mains) to the receiver box

(LNE). The 3 core cable from the remote receiver

box can now be wired into a standard 13 Amp plug

and then plugged in to an exisng socket. You can

also wire directly into the mains, complying with

any relevant regulaons. If you are unsure of these

regulaons, we recommend you consult a qualied

electrician.

Programming remote control zappers:

Normally, the zappers will be preset in the factory. This

will mean that you can simply press the buons to

acvate the awning. If not then perform the following

procedure to program the zappers:

1) Press the buon inside the receiver - the green LED

then starts to ash.

2) Press the stop buon on the side of the receiver - the

green LED then stays on.

3) Press the Open/Up buon on the zapper - setup is

now complete.

If you’ve purchased a wind, sun and rain sensor

kit please refer to the instrucons included with

the sensor and disregard the illustraons on the

right.

Step 7: Wiring the electrics –

Indoor wall switch

B. Indoor wall switch:

Your awning will have approx 2 metres of 4 core cable.

The cable contains two separate circuits- one circuit for

projecng the awning and one for retracng. Middle

switch is used to stop the awning.

The 4 core cable from the awning must be connected to

the wall switch. Then run a standard mains cable (3 core

cable) from the wall switch. Please refer to diagrams

below or alternavely you can run it o the mains.

Step 8: Limit control

Can I control how far out the awning opens?

Manual awnings

With the manual awnings, you can control the posion

of the awning by simply winding out as far you want

to go. The awning will hold at whichever posion you

wind to.

Electric awnings

The electric awning will stop automacally at the pre-set

maximum extension. It will also stop automacally when

fully retracted. If you wish, you can posion the awning

at any point between maximum extension and fully

retracted by pressing the stop buon while the awning

is extending or retracng.

Adjusng the pre-set maximum extension and fully-

retracted posions

On the le hand end of the rotang barrel, inside the

cassee are two small hexagonal bolts marked by

direconal plus and minus signs. Rotate these bolts

gently with a hexagonal key (Green Allen key provided)

to change the maximum extension and full-retracon

points.

Always make sure you count the amount of turns

while adjusng, just in case you want to go back to the

original seng

1. (White adjustment) Retracon point: Take care not

to set this to over-retract otherwise it may cause

damage to the awning. Rotang towards the negave

will reduce the amount that the awning retracts. If

for example the awning doesn’t retract properly and

has a 1-3 inch gap then adjust the white hole to +

clockwise. For example a 50cm gap will need approx

40 turns.

If you wish to set the awning so that it retracts

further, we recommend that you fully retract the

awning with the current seng allowing the motor to

turn o automacally. Then turn the hexagonal key

one quarter turn at a me towards the posive. This

should cause the front bar automacally to move in a

small amount to the new seng, enabling you to ne

tune without risking damage to the awning due to

over retracon.

2. (Red adjustment) Extension point: Rotang towards

the negave will reduce the amount the awning

extends. For example if the awning fabric sags and

projects too far then adjust the red hole towards -

minus which is an-clockwise.

Step 9: General care & precauons FAQ’s

Once the awning is installed, it is important to note

how to properly care for the components, to make

your awning work as long and eciently as it can. The

awnings are constructed from weather resistant powder

coated metal and hard-wearing polyester fabric, and

are designed to give many years of service. Stains and

bird droppings etc. can easily be washed or sponged

away, and should not be le for prolonged periods. The

awning should always be retracted in severe weather

condions.

The hook sha, gearbox and joints on awnings should be

sprayed with silicone in order to lubricate (4-6 months).

WD-40 can also be used instead of silicone.

Framework of the awning should be cleaned at least

once every year, with a so cloth or sponge and warm

water.

Fabric on the awning should be cleaned at the very

least once every year. By using a mild detergent with

warm water and a sponge or so cloth, the fabric can

be wiped and marks can be removed making the awning

look like new.

Winter storage bags/rain covers:

The winter storage bag keeps your awning in prisne

condion whenever it is not being used, either during

the winter months or for any long period of me,

signicantly extending the life of your awning. Available

from your supplier.

The fabric is made from hard wearing, waterproof,

rot-proof, PU and UV stabilised 300gsm polyester and is

easy to sponge clean. It is 100% waterproof fabric so you

can cover up your awning on wet winter days.

B. The receiver box is faulty – remove the cover lid

and make sure the LED lights are on when you use the

zapper. If it doesn’t light up then the box is faulty.

C. Check the cables are wired in correctly (loose wires

etc.)

D. Use the side buons on the receiver box, if the

awning operates then the remote control zapper isn’t

correctly programmed. View Step 6.

E. None of the above, motor is faulty.

6. How far can I operate the awning with a remote

control zapper?

Approx 15-20m radio frequency (RF) remote control

zapper (also goes through walls)

7. Can I control how far the awning opens?

The electric awning will stop automacally at the preset

maximum extension. It will also stop automacally when

fully retracted. If you wish you can posion the awning

at any point between max extension and fully retracted

by pressing the buon while the awning is extending or

retracng.

8. What is this green sck for? To adjust extension,

retracon points

On the le hand side of the motor – inside the cassee

you will nd 2 adjustment holes (White and Red) Use

the green sck provided with the awning.

White = Retracon point: If for example the awning

doesn’t retract back in properly and has a 1-3 inch gap

then adjust the white hole to + clockwise. 50cm gap you

will need to turn approx 40 turns.

Red= Extension point: For example if the awning fabric

sags and projects too far then adjust the red hole

towards – minus which is an clockwise.

FAQ’s

1. The arms aren’t straight when its fully extended, is

that right?

The arms are designed to remain at an angle when fully

extended, this is for extra stability.

2. Is it possible to remove the winder handle o the

awning?

Yes, you can unhook the winder handle and store it

when not in use.

3. The fabric is sagging, how can I solve this problem?

Check and make sure the awning isn’t over extended

(the fabric will feed from the boom of the roller, if you

over extend the awning and fabric will sag. The fabric

should always feed from the top of the roller.)

Refer to Step 8 to adjust the extension points.

4. My awning doesn’t retract back in properly, what

can I do?

Check and make sure the arms are levelled. (A spirit

level is located on front bar. View step 5.)

5. My awning doesn’t seem to project or retract

anymore when I press a buon on the remote control

zappers, what is the problem?

A. Due to safety precauons the motor will cut o (if

the user keeps projecng it back and forth) it will not

operate for another 15-30 mins. Leave it and use the

Ce store possède une garane fabricant de un an à

compter de la date de livraison. Les pièces défectueuses

seront remplacées ou échangées au cours de cee

période. La garane est valable que pour l’ulisaon

domesque du store.

Hauteur du store :

La hauteur recommandée entre le store et le sol est de

2.5m – 3.5m. Si vous désirez installer votre store plus

bas, il vous faut vérier que la porte puisse s’ouvrir

lorsque le store est enèrement ouvert.

Espace requis

- Laissez 20cm au-dessus de l’encadrement de la porte.

Vérier lors de l’ouverture de la porte qu’il n’y ait pas de

gêne entre la porte et le store.

- Pour votre informaon, le store a une hauteur de 30cm

(pour 2m de projecon) à 45cm (pour 2.5 de projecon)

et une pente de 15 degrés en dessous de l’horizontal.

La pente recommandée est pré-établie en usine et ne

devrait en principe pas être réajustée.

L’angle de pente peut-être ajusté à l’aide d’une clé à

écrous à tout moment après l’installaon: de presque

l’horizontal jusqu’à 15-30 degrés en dessous de

l’horizontal.

Posionnement horizontal des supports muraux

A l’aide d’un laser ou d’un niveau, ou autre, marquer

au crayon une ligne horizontale précise à la hauteur

nécessaire.

Ce montage doit être directement xé dans le béton

armé ou les briques. Les joints de morer entre les

briques ou les blocs NE sont PAS assez résistants pour

êtres percés.

Installaon sur les maisons en bois et chalets

Vous pouvez installer des stores de 1.5m-3.5m sur des

maisons en bois et chalets du moment que le mur est

assez solide pour supporter le poids du store. Il faut

toujours s’assurer que les supports muraux soient

solidement xés sur les montants en bois.

Les vis murales fournies dans la boîte d’ouls ne sont

pas prévues pour être ulisées sur un montant en bois,

par conséquent il vous faut acheter des re-fonds de

longueur et diamètre susants an de les remplacer

par les vis d’expansion fournies. Si vous avez des doutes,

demander l’avis d’un expert.

Étape 2 : percer les trous

Si vous avez un doute sur la qualité du mur où vous

allez poser le store, vous pouvez uliser de la résine

époxy pour xer les supports muraux.

1. Aacher le support mural à la barre de tension du

store. Mesurer le store avec une règle et noter la

posion du support mural (trous)

2. Tracer un trait horizontal à la hauteur menonnée sur

le schéma du bas

3. Faire des marques sur le mur des trous à la base du

support

Re-contrôler et s’assurer que les mesures soient

correctes avant de percer les trous dans le mur, surtout

si vous faites un calibre. Nous ne pourrons pas être

tenus responsables pour toutes erreurs de mesures, ou

de mesures incorrectes.

4. Uliser une perceuse électrique avec une mèche

de 14mm. Ne pas percez trop profond car cela

empêchera les vis à expension de tenir fermement

dans le mur.

5. Percer 100mm dans le mur ou paroi adéquate sur les

marques faites pour le support

6. Insérer une vis d’expansion dans le mur percé
