in order to avoid a hazard.

◗Keep this appliance away from water! Do not use this product

near or over water contained in baths, washbasins, sinks etc.

When used in a bathroom, unplug the appliance after use since

the proximity of water presents a risk.

Using the appliance

◗Before you start styling, comb or brush your hair so that it is

untangled and smooth.

Styling with the curling iron

The curling iron can be used to create firm and evenly rounded curls

quickly and easily.

1Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.

The pilot light goes on and the barrel starts heating up.

The pilot light stays on as long as the appliance is connected to the wall

socket.

◗After approximately 15 minutes the appliance is ready for use.

2Start styling when the ready dot on the barrel changes colour.

3Take a lock of hair, open the clip by pressing the lever and place

the lock between the barrel and the clip (fig. 2).

BThe thinner the lock of hair, the tighter the curl will be. In this way the

full length of the lock will come in contact with the heated barrel.

ENGLISH 7

4Release the lever (fig. 3).

5Slide the barrel to the end of the lock (fig. 4).

6Wind the hair round the barrel. Make sure the end of the lock is

wound in the required direction (fig. 5).

7Keep the curling iron in your hair for approximately 15 seconds

(fig. 6).

8Unwind the lock of hair until the clip can be opened again by

means of the lever (fig. 7).

9You can comb the curls with your fingers to add volume.

Styling with the round brush (HP4607 only)

The round brush can be used to create waves and to add volume to

your hair.

Prevent the brush from getting tangled in the hair in the following way:

- Do not put too much hair in one lock.

- Do not wind a lock of hair more than twice round the brush.

- When unwinding a lock of hair, make sure that you hold the brush

away from the underlying hair.

1Slide the round brush onto the appliance (fig. 8).

Be careful! If you have just used the curling iron, the barrel will still be

hot.

2Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.

The pilot light goes on and the barrel starts heating up.

The pilot light stays on as long as the appliance is connected to the wall

socket.

◗After approximately 15 minutes the appliance is ready for use.

3Start styling when the ready dot on the barrel changes colour.

4Take a lock of hair and wind it round the brush. Make sure the

end of the lock is wound in the required direction (fig. 9).

ENGLISH8

5Keep the round brush in your hair for approximately 15 seconds

(fig. 10).

(fig. 11).
