1. Precautions
The SSR960 Smart Strip Reader is a portable instrument intended for the food safety industry testing
use. Please read the Operation Manual carefully before using the instrument, so that the operator can
understand the instrument quickly and operate it correctly to avoid unnecessary damage to the instrument
due to improper operation.
Precautions
Always implement basic safety precautions, including all the items listed below.
Read the items below before use:
1. Make sure the voltage of the power supply matches the voltage range of this instrument
which described in the manual (Please note that the battery or adapter and power cord with original
specications must be used to prevent overpressure from burning the instrument).
2. Power cord: Type-C power connection cable, and DC5V adapter.
3. Do not put or operate in wet/damp conditions.

4. Please operate the instrument only according to the manual.
5. Please use the supplied or recommended accessories.
6. Do not use the instrument once it works abnormal or damage.
7. Do not operate the instrument near heat source.
8. Avoid sundries and dust into the transmit channel. Keep the transmit channel away from soft cloth,
hair and u.
9. The instrument shall not be squeezed by other objects during the testing.
10. Do not drop or put anything into the opening or joint of the instrument unless the specied stated
in the manual.
11. Keep the instrument away from strong electromagnetic eld interference source.
12. Avoid direct sunlight.
13. Working environment temperature: +5℃~ +40℃ , relative humidity: 15% ~ 80%.
14. Remove the battery when the instrument is not in use for a long time.
15. Power supply requirement: 3V-CR2 lithium battery, USB power adapter (5V/1A).

2. Introduction
SSR960 Smart Strip Reader is a portable instrument to fast detect Lateral Flow Test strips or cassettes. It
can be compatible with 3 types of reagent products from Meizheng Bio-Tech: 2-step testing strip (80-25mm),
1-step testing strip (85-25mm), and 1-step testing cassette (85-40mm). One strip or cassette can detect 5
items maximumly.
The APP of this instrument is developed based on Android system. The APP can rapidly connect to the
instrument via Bluetooth to achieve detection operations. Through scanning the QR code of the standard
curve, the product information can be automatically built into the APP. After detection, test records can
also be automatically stored in the APP. Click the “Test Records” icon to query the testing items. The data
can be exported or shared.

3. Preparation
1. Preparation before using the instrument
1.1 APP installation: It can be installed on Android phone through specied website or QR code. Turn
on the Bluetooth on the APP after installation.
1.2 Powered by battery
1.2.1 Open the battery lid: Use the pick to
remove the battery lid in a counterclockwise
direction.
1.2.2 Install the battery: Put the battery in
the instrument in the direction of the arrow mark
as the picture shown below. The positive pole
is outward, and the negative pole is inward. Use the pick along the direction of LOCK arrow to close the
battery lid.

1.3 Powered by Type-C: Connect the type-c interface of the cable to the USB socket of the instrument,
and connect the other end of the cable to the charger.
2. Application of Lateral Flow Testing
Select the proper cassette and make sure the detection
window is upside. Insert the cassettes into the instrument
in the direction of the arrow which is shown in the picture
above. After reaching to the dened position, the instrument
will be turned on, the Bluetooth indicator will flash
intermittently. It will be turned o by pulling out the cassette.
The instrument will automatically power off if there is no
operation within 10 minutes, and turn on the instrument
again by inserting the cassette again.
Note: Strips and cassettes must be fully inserted into the dened position of the instrument,
otherwise the results may be inaccurate.

The strip needs to be removed the sample pad after the reaction, and before inserting into the
instrument. Please refer to the kitinsert for the detailed operations of the reagent kit.
3. Key points of using the APP of SSR960 Reader
When clicking “ ” icon, the user’s device is required to connect to the Reader via Bluetooth. After
the connection, the Reader can execute the testing and analyze the results. Please refer to the Reader’s
label for the connecting name of Bluetooth.
Please refer to the Reader’s label for the serial number of Bluetooth. There are two methods to choose
the device: ① Choose the device with same serial number from the device list. ② Click “Scan QR Code”
icon on the bottom right corner to scan the device QR code which is on the Reader’s label to complete the
connection.

4. Detection
After preparation, the user can go into the detection procedures. Click “SSR960 APP” to enter the
home screen, including 4 icons of “Standard Curve”, “Test”, “Test Records”, “Settings”.
Turn on Bluetooth before testing. Check “ ” icon to display the Bluetooth status. If Bluetooth
function is not turned on in advance, a prompt to turn on Bluetooth will appear on the screen during
testing, and testing can only be performed after the connection is allowed.
1. Settings
Click the “ ” icon to enter the setting interface, including 5 items of “Operator management”,
“Device list”, “Test settings”, “Language”, “System information”. The item of “Operator
management” can add new operator information. The item of “Device list” can manage Bluetooth
connection. Click the device to connect to the Bluetooth, or connect according to the prompts during
testing. The item of “Test settings” can congure the display of the test interface, where at least one of “Test
cassette” and “Test strip” can be selected. “Product code”, “Operator”, “Sample No.”, and “Remarks”
are optional to be displayed on the test interface once turning on the icons. The item of “Language” can
