Introduction
zOverview of the product
The logic inversion module VCS03-3 is a circuit to invert the logic of signals connected.
Two signals can be connected to a single unit of the VCS03-3.
zHazardous substances
The products do not contain the substances exceeding the restriction values of RoHS
Directive (2011/65/EU).
Safety precautions
The precautions described below are intended to prevent danger or injury to the user
and other personnel through safe, correct use of the product. Use the product only after
carefully reading and fully understanding these instructions.
Handling the product without observing the instructions that accompany a "Warning"
symbol may result in serious injury or death.
yDo not use the product in explosive or corrosive environments, in the presence of
ammable gases, locations subjected to splashing water, or near combustibles. Doing
so may result in re or injury.
yAssign qualied personnel the task of installing, wiring, operating/controlling,
inspecting and troubleshooting the product. Failure to do so may result in re or
injury.
yInstall the VCS03-3 in an enclosure. Failure to do so may result in injury.
yConnect the product securely in accordance with the wire connection example. Failure
to do so may result in re.
yFor the power supply use a DC power supply with reinforced insulation on its primary
and secondary sides. Failure to do so may result in electric shock.
yDo not disassemble or modify the VCS03-3. Doing so may result in injury. Refer all
such internal inspections and repairs to the branch or sales oce from which you
purchased the product.
Handling the product without observing the instructions that accompany a "Caution"
symbol may result in injury or property damage.
yDo not use the VCS03-3 beyond its specications. Doing so may result in injury or
damage to equipment.
yTake measures against static electricity and electrical noise when using the VCS03-3.
Failure to do so may result in damage to equipment or malfunction.
yKeep the area around the VCS03-3 free of combustible materials. Failure to do so
may result in re or skin burn(s).
yWhen an abnormal condition has occurred, immediately stop operation and turn o
the power. Failure to do so may result in re or injury.
yTo dispose of the VCS03-3, disassemble it into parts and components as much as
possible and dispose of individual parts/components as industrial waste.

zNotes about wiring
yApplicable lead wire for terminal block: AWG26 to 16 (0.14 to 1.5 mm2)
yConnecting signals: The signal is output via the same number that has been input.
Using shielded cables and the like, keep the signal lines away
from power lines, and wire over the shortest possible distance.
yConnecting a power supply: Wire the power lines as short as possible.
