Safety Instructions
• Never throw batteries into a re or expose to excessive heat sources.
• If batteries are swallowed, please seek immediate medical attention.
• Always ensure correct +/- battery polarity when installing batteries.
• Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
Batteries, should not be thrown away with your household waste. Contact
your local authority waste disposal department, as they will be able to provide
details of the recycling options available in your area.
Electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) contains materials, parts and
substances, which can be dangerous to the environment and harmful to
human health. Therefore waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
must be disposed of correctly.
Equipment, which is marked with the WEEE logo
(as shown on the left), should not be thrown away with your household waste.

Battery Care
To get the best out of the battery, fully charge and use until at for the rst 5-6
times. Then use until at and fully charge at least once a month.
Prolonged storage without charge may cause damage to the battery and result in
poor to no charge. It is recommended you fully charge the battery every 6 months
for long term storage to keep the battery in good condition.

Charging
Adaptor Information
Before using a USB mains adaptor please check the “Output”
information on the plug face label.
For this device 5V/1A or 5V/1000mAh is the maximum output
required to charge the battery. Using a stronger output can damage
the battery and/or product.
Please note:
Tablets and some large smart phones use 2.1A or 2100mAh outputs and above.

Power On/Off
Turning On
Press and hold the button for 3 seconds. The speaker will give the
audio alert “Power On” and the white LED will ash (Unless an AUX
cable is plugged in the white LED will be constant).
Turning Off
Press and hold the button for 3 seconds. The speaker will give the
audio alert “Power Off” and the white LED will turn off.
Charging
Charging The Speaker
Open the port cover to reveal the micro USB charge port. Connect
the cable to a maximum of 5V/1A power source and the other end to
the charge port on the speaker.
The LED will show red when charging. Once fully charged the LED
will turn off. This will take approximately 6 hours.
It is possible to use and charge the speaker at the same time.

Bluetooth Mode
Pairing The Speaker
Once the speaker has been turned on it is automatically in pairing
mode, indicated by a ashing white LED. Make sure your bluetooth
is active on your device. Search for “MAXTEK” on the available de-
vices list on your device and select it. After a short moment an
audio alert will state: “Your device is connected.” and you are now
ready to play music through the speaker once the white LED is
constant.
Bluetooth Controls
When you are paired, you have a few controls available on the
speaker, these are:
• Decrease Volume: Quick press on the Vol - button
• Skip Back: Long press on the Vol - button
• Increase Volume: Quick press on the Vol + button
• Skip Forward: Long press on the Vol + button
• On/Off: Hold for 3 seconds
• Play/Pause: Quick press on the button
Please note:
A pairable device is either a smart phone, laptop, MP3 player, PC etc, not
another pair of headphones of similar receiving peripheral device.
This speaker will not connect to a bluetooth TV or Hi-Fi System unless specied
by the devices manufacturer.

AUX Mode
Using The Auxiliary Port
If you have a device that doesn’t have bluetooth or you don’t want to
use the bluetooth feature to connect to the speaker, you can connect
your device via the AUX port under the port cover.
Connect the AUX cable (supplied) to the ‘AUX in’ port and the other
end to either an ‘AUX out’ or ‘Headphone’ port on your device. When
the AUX cable is connected it will override the bluetooth function
and the white LED will be constant.
AUX Controls
The only controls that are available on the speaker in AUX Mode are:
• Decrease Volume: Quick press on the Vol - button
• Increase Volume: Quick press on the Vol + button
• On/Off: Hold for 3 seconds
Bungee
Using The Bungee
You can use the bungee to strap the speaker to a bag or post.
Unclip and wrap the bungee around a suitable object and secure the
bungee over the bungee hook to hold the speaker in place.
Alternatively you can use the bungee as a loop to suspend the
speaker off a hook or suitable overhang.
