A versatile and future-proof digital receiver
• Built-in thermostat controlled fan
• Watchdog (can be de-activated) automatically restarts the receiver after a power cut or other error.
• Card reader for NDS coding system (embedded).
• Supplied with or without built-in professional A2 modulator.
• Can be fitted with an external Nicam encoder.
• Adjustable audio level.
• Easy to install in small spaces.
Important!
• Digital signals put great demands on the equipment’s LNB. Using an old LNB can result in frozen
pictures or text. Install a new microwave head to avoid problems.
• Before the receiver can display a picture the programme card must be paired to the receiver.

All programming is carried out using the display and the buttons on the
front of the DT-1700.
When the receiver is in use, the buttons on the front are locked by a
button lock. This is shown by a symbol in the upper left-hand corner of the
display. The lock is de-activated by pressing the MENU and ENTER buttons
at the same time for approximately 2 seconds.
TRANSPONDER FREQUENCY ”IF-frequency”
MENU Press the Menu button.
Use the Up/Down buttons to specify a number.
Use the Left/Right buttons to move between the numbers.
ENTER Press the Enter button to move to the next menu option.
NOTE! The value of the frequency setting (If- frequency) is
calculated using the local oscillator frequency (L.O.) on the
microwave head (LNB).
Calculation example for the middle frequency
A satellite channel with frequency of 12 054 and an LNB with L.O. 10 600
MF = 12 054 – 10 600 = 1454, which is the frequency to be set.
POLARISATION
Use the Up/Down buttons to select the desired polarity, H/V.
ENTER Press the Enter button to move to the next menu option.
IMPORTANT! When using a Quatro LNB the polarity must be set
to ”H (= horizontal)” to ensure reliable function.
