WARNINGS

1 TEC NICAL DESCRIPTION
LDA ZES-22 s an aud o DSP matr x based on the COBRANET™. over Ethernet
market standards.
The ZES-22 has 4 channels of aud o nput and 4 channels of aud o output be ng
these conf gured by software as channel nput or output. It may have up to four channels
of nput or output so be able to send the aud o over Ethernet us ng the COBRANET™.

2 FUNCTIONING DESCRIPTION
The ZES-22 allows both, the nject on and extract on of analog aud o channel n a
network of Ethernet COBRANET™.
COBRANET™ allows up to 65536 “bundles” (where a ´bundle´ s a package w th up to 8
channels of d g tal aud o). A ZES-22 can get up to 4 nput channels and 4 output channels
w th n the COBRANET™ network. These channels can be connected to any of the analog
channels us ng the nternal array.
Also, t has a d g tal system ntegrated w th the s gnals (DSP) be ng able to make s gnal
ga n adjustments, equal zat on, f lter ng, l m tat ons, etc.

F gure 1 shows a ZES22 conf gured as 2 channels of analog aud o nput + 2 CobraNet
nput channels and 2 analog output channels + 2 CobraNet output channels.
The analog nput channels can be m crophone nputs w th 12V Phantom power or
balanced l ne nputs. For these nputs a selectable ga n of -10dB to + 20dB can be appl ed.
The analog aud o outputs are balanced aud o outputs. Other poss ble conf gurat ons are:

2.1.1 ANALOGIC CONNECTION
The ZES22 accepts and manages the dev ces of balanced and unbalanced aud o.
The follow ng d agrams expla n how to connect d fferent types of aud o dev ces.
2.1.1.1 UNBALANCED SOURCE INPUT
To be able to connect an unbalanced source of 2 w res to the ZES22, you have to
connect the pos t ve output of the unbalanced source to the pos t ve I/O nput of the
ZES22. Connect the ground nput source w th ZES22 ma n source, and un te the negat ve
nput w th the ground source of the ZES22 nput.
