General Safety
The SiteOne instrument should only be used for its intended purpose and
never be connected to cables carrying hazardous voltages.
Never attempt to replace the LiIon batteries, unless you are a trained
professional. Great care should be observed preventing polarity reversal
and short circuit as the batteries may explode or catch fire.
Please observe that batteries can be very hot, and may cause burns, if
appropriate measures are not used during handling.
General Information
Description:
The COMM-connect SiteOne Cable & Antenna Analyzer is a truly handheld
analyzer covering all major communication bands from 50 kHz to 4400
MHz.
It has a large number of measurement screens available, in order to
accommodate all the different parameters in an antenna installation.
Measurement screens can show 2 simultaneous graphs, from 2 different
parameters in order to bring further clarity to your measurements
The built-in storage is accessible through the USB connector, and will show
up on your PC as a temporary drive. The size of the internal storage is large
enough to hold years of measurement data.
For documentation reference the instrument has a built-in real time clock
Simple multilayer menus are employed to setup and control the operation of
the instrument
In order to ensure uninterrupted daily work, the instrument is equipped with
LiIon cells capable of more than 4 hours of continuous work.
Accessory kit with soft carrying bag, Peli case, car charger and coax
adapters for standard types are available

Battery and Charging:
The SiteOne features a built-in LiIon battery pack comprising 2 x 2200 mAh.
Charging is fully controlled and automated when using the supplied
chargers or a standard USB connection. Full charge is reached after
approximately 6 hours with the supplied chargers. The USB/5 Volt regulated
charger supplied will allow the instrument to be operated directly from the
charger and at the same time charge the batteries when plugged in. This
goes for both the wall charger and the automotive charger supplied in the
accessory kit. Please observe that charge time will increase when using the
instrument while charging.
Warranty:
The SiteOne has a 1 year total warranty covering parts and labor as long
as the instrument has been used according to the instructions in this
manual, and has not been subject to any abuse. Warranty will cover the
return shipment after repairs.

Keys & Indicators
ON / OFF
Pressing the ON/OFF button will switch on the instrument. A welcome
screen will appear.
The instrument will run for the duration of the POWER MIN(1) in the System
parameters(5) menu.
Fc/De (Frequency Center/Distance-to-fault endpoint)
When used in frequency based screens (Fc):
Pressing the Fc/De button on the keyboard will present a screen with an
entry field ‘Fc:_‘, at the bottom of the screen. By pressing the numeric keys
you can enter any frequency from 50 kHz to 4400 MHz. If you accidentally
mis-type, you can backspace on the down/right arrow button. Press the
enter key to confirm the new center frequency.
Please note that the Fc will have priority over the FΔ, and it will adjust the
value to fit inside instrument range.
When used for setting DTF endpoint (De):
Pressing the Fc/De button, the display will present a screen with an entry
field ‘Dist:‘, at the bottom of the screen. By pressing the numeric keys you
can enter any length from 1 to 500 meters (1 to 1640 feet).
FΔ/Ds (Frequency Span/Distance-to-fault startpoint)
When used in frequency based screens (FΔ):
Pressing the FΔ button on the keyboard will present a screen with an entry
field ‘FΔ:_‘, at the bottom of the screen. By pressing the numeric keys you
can enter any range from 50 kHz to 4400 MHz. If you accidentally mis-type,
you can backspace on the down/right arrow button. Press the enter key to
confirm the new center frequency.
Please note that the SiteOne automatically adjusts the frequency span so
that it fits within the instrument range.
When used for setting DTF startpoint (Ds):
Pressing the FΔ/Ds button, the display will present a screen with an entry
field ‘Dist:‘, at the bottom of the screen. By pressing the numeric keys you
can enter any length from 1 to 499 meters (1 to 1639 feet).

Function
Pressing the Function button, will enable the auxiliary functions, marked
with a blue color on the buttons. The function icon letter ‘F’ will appear in
the lower right corner of the display.
Enter / Esc
The Enter / Esc button is used to confirm a input, or to leave a menu.
Hold / Copy
When “HOLD” is pressed, the sweep position indicator stops at the current
position and freezes the screen. In “HOLD” mode the frequency sweep is
stopped and depending on the setting of Oscillator, the RF is either On or
Off. (see menus)
The “COPY” key will write the screen contents to the built-in storage drive.
The “COPY” function will create a file and directory according to the settings
in the ’Preset Measurements (04)’ menu. During write to storage the ’C’ icon
letter is lit, and when ‘C’ disappears it is safe to access the storage drive
through the USB connector.
Dot / Marker
The dot button becomes active when entering new numeric sweep
parameters.
The Marker button is active when the instrument is in measurement mode,
and is used to enable the marker function.
Arrows
The arrows keys are used for adjusting the position of the markers. When
the X-axis is highlighted they operate as left and right, and when the Y-axis
is highlighted they operate as up and down keys.
Mode / Menu
The mode button switches between the various measurement modes, as
configured in the ‘Display mode select (01)’ menu.
The Menu button enters the menu system.

0 / Space / Swap Marker Axis
This key are used as the number 0 when entering new sweep data, as
‘Space’ when entering new alfa numerical data in the menu system and for
swapping between marker axis when in measurement mode.
1
This key are used as the number 1 when entering new sweep data.
2 / ABC
This key are used as the number 2 when entering new sweep data and as
‘A’, ’B’ or ’C’ when entering new alfa numerical data in the menu system.
3 / DEF
This key are used as the number 3 when entering new sweep data and as
‘D’, ’E’ or ’F’ when entering new alfa numerical data in the menu system.
4 / GHI / L-Valley
This key are used as the number 4 when entering new sweep data and as
‘G’, ’H’ or ’I’ when entering new alfa numerical data in the menu system.
When pressed in measurement mode, the ‘L-Valley’ function will place the
marker at the lowest point of the Left Y-axis.
5 / JKL
This key are used as the number 5 when entering new sweep data and as
‘J’, ’K’ or ’L’ when entering new alfa numerical data in the menu system.
6 / MNO / R-Valley
This key are used as the number 6 when entering new sweep data and as
‘M’, ’N’ or ’O’ when entering new alfa numerical data in the menu system.
When pressed in measurement mode, the ‘R-Valley’ function will place the
marker at the lowest point of the Right Y-axis.
