electricians,qualiedengineersandnavalarchitects.Itisassumedthatyouunderstand
thegeneralprinciplesofmaritimeelectronicequipment.Y oumustalsobefamiliarwith
theinstallationofelectronicandmechanicalproducts.Youareexpectedtohavebasic
mechanicalskillsandfamiliaritywithhandlingofsensitiveelectronicequipment.

Theinformationinthisdocumentmustberegardedasguidelinesandrecommendations.

Theinstallationshipyardmustprovideallnecessarydesignandinstallationdrawings,as
wellastherelevantworkstandardsandmountingprocedures.
Ifrequired,alldocumentsprovidedbytheshipyardforthephysicalinstallationofthe
SR70systemmustbeapprovedbythevessel’ snationalregistryandcorresponding
maritimeauthorityand/orclassicationsociety.Suchapprovalmustbeobtainedbeforethe
installationcanbegin.Theshipownerandshipyarddoingtheinstallationareresponsible
forobtainingandpayingforsuchapproval.
KongsbergMaritimeASwillacceptnoresponsibilityforanydamageorinjurytothe
product,vesselorpersonnelcausedbyequipmentthathasbeenincorrectlyinstalledor
maintained,orbydrawings,instructionsorproceduresthathavenotbeenpreparedbyus.
