Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Important: People (including c ildren) w o are not able to use t e
appliance in a safe way, due to t eir p ysical, sensorial or mental
capacity or t eir lack of experience or knowledge, must never use
t e appliance except if t ey are supervised by a person responsible
for t eir safety or if t ey previously received instructions concerning
t e safe use of t e appliance.
Close supervision is necessary to prevent c ildren from using t e
appliance as a toy.
• Never leave t e appliance unsupervised w en in use.
• From time to time c eck t e appliance for damages. Never
use t e appliance if it s ows any signs of damage. All repairs

CHARACTER ST CS OF YOUR SCALE

BEFORE THE F RST USE
T is appliance works wit 2 lit ium batteries (3 V, type CR2032,
included). If batteries are not pre-installed, remove t e lid of t e
battery ousing on t e rear part of t e scale. Place t e batteries, t e
positive pole facing outwards, and t en put back t e lid.
Screw t e glass plate onto t e base of t e appliance.
You can now use your scale.
WE GHT UN T
Your scale allows you to use t e metric measurement system (grams)
OR t e imperial system (ounce). C oose t e measurement system by
putting t e switc (oz…g) on t e measurement system you wis to
use. T is switc is situated on t e bottom side of t e appliance.
USE
Put t e scale on an even and ard surface, for instance a table.
Avoid soft surfaces.
Normal weighing
1) Press t e front cover. T e scale will turn on and t e LCD display will
s ow “0” g or “0.0” oz.

2) Put t e object you want to weig on t e glass plate. T e stabilized
weig t is displayed.
3) Remove t e object from t e glass plate.
4) T e scale turns off automatically after 60 seconds. You can also
switc t e scale off anytime by keeping t e front cover pressed for
two seconds.
Note: if you press t e front cover w ile somet ing is being weig ed,
t e LCD display will s ow “0”/“0.0” and “TARE” will appear on t e
left- and side. W en you remove t e object from t e glass plate, t e
LCD display will s ow t e object’s weig t as negative (“ – ” will
appear on t e left- and side).
Combination weighing
Wit t e combination weig ing function you can add up t e weig ts
of several objects.
1) Press t e front cover. T e scale will turn on and t e LCD display will
s ow “0” g or “0.0” oz.
2) Press t e front cover again. “M” will appear on t e left- and side
of t e display.
3) Put t e first object you want to weig on t e glass plate. T e
stabilized weig t is displayed.
4) Press t e front cover to save t e weig t.
5) Remove t e object from t e glass plate.
6) Press t e front cover to continue to t e next weig ing. T e LCD
display will s ow “0”/“0.0”.
7) Put t e next object on t e glass plate. Its stabilized weig t is
displayed.
8) Press t e front cover to save t e weig t. T e total weig t of t e
weig ed objects is displayed.
9) Remove t e object from t e glass plate.
10) Press t e front cover to continue to t e next weig ing and
proceed as described above. T e maximum capacity for
combination weig ing is 19999 g / 705.4 oz. W en t e total weig t
exceeds t is maximum capacity, “Err” will appear on t e display.
11) Keep t e front cover pressed for two seconds to go back to t e
normal weig ing function.

12) T e scale turns off automatically if t ere is no action wit in 60
seconds.
Note: if you do not remove an object w en you ave saved its
weig t and you press t e front cover again, “ON” will momentarily
appear on t e display reminding you to remove t e object.
Caution: t e maximum capacity of eac weig ing is 5 kg / 176.3 oz.
ERROR ND CAT ON
If t e display s ows symbols randomly or if t e scale doesn’t turn off
automatically, it means t at your scale as a problem (wrong
initialization or weig ing error).
Step off t e scale and wait for it to turn off.
You can start again.
If t e problem goes on, remove t e batteries for 10 seconds, t en
put t em back in place.
OVERLOAD NG ND CATOR
If t e symbol appears on t e LCD screen, it means t at t e
maximum weig t accepted by your scale is exceeded, please
remove t e object from t e glass plate in order not to damage your
scale.
LOW BATTERY ND CATOR
If t e symbol is displayed on t e LCD screen, it means t at t e
batteries of your scale are low and s ould be replaced soon. If t e
symbol is displayed on t e LCD screen, it means t at t e
batteries of your scale are empty and s ould be replaced (see
paragrap “Before t e first use”). Please dispose of t e old batteries
in an environmentally friendly way.

BATTERY
If your appliance does not work properly, it is probably because t e
batteries are disc arged. In t at case, replace t em by new ones of
t e same type (see paragrap “Before t e first use”).

T PS FOR USE AND MA NTENANCE
• Be careful w en manipulating t e scale because it is a precision
device.
• Clean t e outside parts only wit a lig tly damp clot .
• Never use abrasive products to clean your scale.
• NEVER USE THIS APPLIANCE NEAR WATER; NEVER IMMERSE IT IN
WATER OR ANY LIQUID WHATSOEVER.
• Keep t e scale in a cool and dry place.
• Always keep your scale in a orizontal position.
• No liability will be taken for damages caused by an
inappropriate use. T e warranty becomes null and void if t e
appliance as been opened or damaged.
PROTECT ON OF THE ENV RONMENT
In order to preserve our environment and protect uman ealt , t e
waste electrical and electronic equipment s ould be disposed of in
accordance wit specific rules wit t e implication of bot suppliers
and users. For t is reason, as indicated by t e symbol on t e
rating label or on t e packaging, your appliance s ould not be
disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. T e user as t e rig t to
bring it to a municipal collection point performing waste recovery by
means of reuse, recycling or use for ot er applications in

WARRANTY
We suggest t at you complete and return t e enclosed Product
Registration Card promptly to facilitate verification of t e date of
original purc ase. However, return of t e Product Registration Card is
not a condition of t ese warranties. You can also fill t is warranty
card online, at t e following address: www.KALOR K.com
T is KALORIK product is warranted in t e U.S.A. for 1 year from t e
date of purc ase against defects in material and workmans ip. T is
warranty is not transferable. Keep t e original sales receipt. Proof of
purc ase is required to obtain warranty performance.
During t is period, t e KALORIK product t at, upon inspection by
KALORIK, is proved defective, will be repaired or replaced, at
Kalorik’s option, wit out c arge to t e customer. If a replacement
product is sent, it will carry t e remaining warranty of t e original
product.
T is warranty does not apply to any defect arising from a buyer's or
user's misuse of t e product, negligence, failure to follow KALORIK
instructions noted in t e user’s manual, use on current or voltage
ot er t an t at stamped on t e product, wear and tear, alteration
or repair not aut orized by KALORIK, or use for commercial purposes.
T ere is no warranty for glass parts, glass containers, filter basket,
blades and agitators, and accessories in general. T ere is also no
warranty for parts lost by t e user.
ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS WITH RESPECT TO
THIS PRODUCT IS ALSO LIMITED TO THE ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
PERIOD.
Some states do not allow limitation on ow long an implied warranty
lasts or do not allow t e exclusion of incidental or consequential
damages, so t e above limitations may not apply to you. T is
warranty gives you specific legal rig ts, and you may also ave ot er

period and more t an 30 days after date of purc ase, do not return
t e appliance to t e store: often, our Consumer Service
Representatives can elp solve t e problem wit out aving t e
product serviced. If servicing is needed, a Representative can
confirm w et er t e product is under warranty and direct you to t e
nearest service location.
If t is is t e case, bring t e product (or send it, postage prepaid),
along with proof of purchase and indicating a return authorization
number given by our Consumer Service Representatives, to t e

PR MERA PUESTA EN MARCHA
Ese aparato funciona con 2 pilas de 3V de tipo CR2032 (incluidas).
Quite las dos tapas de emplazamiento de las pilas ubicados en la
parte trasera de la balanza.
Introduzca las pilas, el polo positivo acia fuera, luego ponga la
tapa.
Atornille el plato de cristal en la base del aparato.
A ora se puede utilizar su balanza.
UN DAD DE PESO
Su balanza le permite utilizar el sistema de medida métrica (gramos),
imperial (onzas). Elija el sistema de medida poniendo el interruptor
(oz…g) ubicado en la parte de abajo del aparato en la unidad de
medida deseada.
FUNC ONAM ENTO
Coloque la balanza en una superficie dura y estable, por ejemplo
una mesa. Evite las superficies más blandas.
Peso normal
1) Presione la cubierta frontal. La balanza se encenderá y en la
pantalla LCD aparecerá “0” g o “0.0” oz.
2) Ponga el objeto que usted quiera pesar en el plato de cristal.
El peso se indica una vez estabilizada.
3) Quite el objeto de la balanza.
4) La balanza se apaga automáticamente después de 60
segundos. Usted también puede apagar la balanza en
cualquier momento manteniendo la cubierta frontal
presionada durante dos segundos.
Nota: si usted presiona la cubierta frontal mientras algo se está
pesando, la pantalla LCD mostrará “0”/“0.0” y “TARE” aparecerá en
la parte izquierda. Cuando usted quite el objeto del plato de cristal,
