MPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
1. READ ALL NSTRUCT ONS
2. Use the appliance only for its intended use.
3. Check that your ains voltage corresponds to that stated on the
appliance.
4. To protect against electrical shock do not i erse cord, plugs, or
appliance in water or other liquid.
5. The power switch ust always be put in “OFF” position before
plugging or unplugging fro the outlet. Never yank the cord to
disconnect for the outlet; instead, grasp the plug and pull to
disconnect.
6. Do not allow the cord to touch the hot surfaces. Let the
appliance cool down co pletely before putting it away.
7. Always disconnect the appliance fro the electrical outlet when
filling with water or e ptying and when not in use. Be careful to
avoid spilling water on the appliance when filling.
8. Do not operate the appliance with a da aged cord or plug or
after the appliance has been dropped or da aged in any
anner. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disasse ble
the appliance, take it to a qualified service an for exa ination
and repair. Incorrect reasse bly can cause a risk of electric
shock when the appliance is used.
9. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or
near children.
10. Burns can occur fro touching hot etal parts, hot water or
stea .
11. If the appliance is not operating nor ally, disconnect fro the
power supply and have the appliance serviced by an authorized
service center.
12. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of counters.
13. Always put the appliance in a secure place on a table or counter
when using.
14. Do not ove the appliance without unplugging it first.

15. Use distilled water in the appliance. Do not use perfu ed or
products containing alcohol in the appliance.
16. This appliance ust be grounded. Do not alter the plug or
atte pt to defeat this feature.
17. This appliance S NOT intended for use by young children or infir
persons unless they have been adequately supervised by a
responsible person to ensure that they can use the appliance
safely.
18. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they DO NOT
play with the appliance.
SPEC AL NSTRUCT ONS
• To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high
wattage appliance on the sa e circuit.
• If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10-a pere cord
should be used. Cords rated for less a perage ay overheat.
Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be
pulled or tripped over.
SAVE THESE NSTRUCT ONS
POLAR ZED PLUG NSTRUCT ONS
So e appliances are equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug
will fit into the polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not
properly fit into the outlet at first, reverse it. If it still does not fit,
contact a co petent qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify
the plug in any way.
For appliances equipped with a standard plug, si ply insert the plug
into the outlet without paying attention to the way you plug it.

BEFORE USE
Set the appliance on a sturdy work surface. Unlock the locking knob.
F LL NG THE WATER TANK
Use preferably de ineralised water. If you want to use the stea
function fill the water tank as follows:
1) Unplug the stea press fro the outlet to let it cool down.
2) The pressing plate ust be lifted to the raised (up) position.
3) Slide the water tank towards the front of the unit. It will not co e
co pletely out so do not force it to do so. Using the water
beaker, slowly pour the distilled water into the water tank. Never
overfill the water tank. The water level can be seen through the
front of the tank.
4) Be careful to avoid spilling water onto the stea press when
filling.
5) Slide the water tank back in.
6) When pressing, unplug the appliance before refilling.
USE
• Make sure the locking knob is in the open position (UNLOCK)
allowing free ove ent of the pressing plate before plugging in
the appliance.
• Lift the pressing plate to the fully raised (up) position.
• Plug the appliance into an electric outlet.
• Press “ON/OFF” and the red power light will turn on.
TEMPERATURE SETT NGS
• You can choose the te perature setting according the cloth to
press (see table below).
• Press the *SELECT* arrow buttons to choose the kind of fabric you
wish to press. Press to ove selection to higher setting and
press to ove selection to lower setting. If you doubt, have a
look at the gar ent label.
• When the green ready light goes off, the pressing plate has
reached the te perature for the desired setting. The LCD panel
also displays the current te perature of the pressing plate.

• When changing the setting fro a higher selection to a lower
setting allow several inutes for the pressing plate to cool
sufficiently after aking the change.

NOTE: You ay find it ore efficient to arrange your fabrics fro
those requiring the lowest setting to those requiring the highest
setting and proceed accordingly. This will avoid any unnecessary
delay or wait for the pressing plate to cool.
STEAM CONTROL
• Stea is produced only when the yellow stea ready light is on.
• Stea is available only when the te perature of the pressing
plate reaches 302°F or 150°C.
• The green ready light goes off when the unit has reached the
desired te perature. The yellow stea ready light will co e on
when the unit is ready to produce stea .
• If this is the first ti e you are using the stea press or you have
been storing it for so e ti e, lift the pressing plate into the raised
position and press the burst of stea button several ti es until the
stea begins to flow.
• The burst of stea function can only be used when the stea
ready light is on AND the stea press is in a slightly opened
position. Do not use the burn of stea function when the stea
press is closed, or you ay da age the unit.
•
Do not press the burst of stea button for ore than 5 seconds or
water ay drip on your gar ent.

PRESS NG
• Make sure the locking knob (2) is in the open position (UNLOCK).
• Lift the handle (1). The pressing plate (4) oves to the up position.
• Carefully arrange the gar ent to be pressed onto the ironing
board (5).
• Grasp the handle of the pressing plate(4) and lower it onto the
ironing board (5), capturing the gar ent between the two halves
of the stea press.
• For lightly creased gar ents, si ply lowering the handle and
allowing the pressing plate to rest on the ironing board will be
sufficient. Return to the open position. For very creased gar ents,
continue to grasp the handle and press downward until the
pressing plate is pushed to its lowest position, then open the press.
• If the te perature is set high enough you ay give the fabric a
burst of stea by pressing the burst of stea button (3) to
re ove stubborn wrinkles. Lower the pressing plate until it is about
two inches fro the gar ent. Press the burst of stea button for
about 3-5 seconds. After releasing the burst of stea button you
ay fully lower the pressing plate.
NOTE: Do not press the burst of steam button when the pressing
plate is in its lowest (closed) position.
• After a few seconds, lift the handle and raise the pressing plate
back to the raised position.
US NG THE SPRAY BOTTLE
Lightly spray the gar ent before placing it on the ironing board. This
helps to distribute an even, fine ist over the fabric, preparing it to
be pressed, and re oving all wrinkles.
US NG THE PRESS NG CUSH ON
So e gar ents have been constructed with details, such as darts,
curved sea s and shoulder pads, which are not intended to be
pressed flat. A pressing cushion is supplied with your stea press for
use with these areas.
• Use the cushion whenever pressing areas where no creases are
desired or to shape tailored gar ents.
• Place the area to be pressed onto the ironing board.

• Place the pressing cushion under the dart, sea etc.
• Make sure the area to be pressed is raised and lower the pressing
plate. The raised area is the only area the plate should contact.
NOTE: Do not atte pt to lower the pressing plate to its lowest
position or lock the pressing plate against the ironing board with
the pressing cushion in place. You MAY DAMAGE the stea press
by doing so.
•
Raise the pressing plate after a few seconds.
STOR NG
• Water ay be left in the water tank, because it will not drip out if
the achine is stored in an upright position. However, it is
reco ended that if the achine will be stored for so e ti e,
that all the water in the unit should be drained by pressing the
burst of stea button until all of the water is pu ped out.
• Press “ON/OFF”, the red power light will go out. Disconnect the
plug fro the outlet. Leave appliance in open position.
• Wait for the stea press to cool co pletely (approxi ately 30
inutes).
• When cool, lower the pressing plate onto the ironing board
pushing the handle to its lowest position.
• Turn the locking knob to the locked position. This should prevent
the stea press fro opening while being oved or stored.
• Loosely wrap the electric cord
and place it in the opening at
the front of the base of the
ironing board. You are now ready
to store the unit.
CLEAN NG
• To clean the pressing plate, place the pressing cushion in the
center of the ironing board. Place a clean towel over the
pressing cushion and the ironing board. Set the te perature
control to its axi u setting. When the ready light co es on
and the stea ready light goes off, gently lower the pressing
plate onto the pressing cushion. With water in the water tank,
press the burst of stea button 6 to 7 ti es. Be careful to avoid

touching the hot etal surfaces or leaving your hand in the bursts
of stea .
• Once the pressing plate has cooled down you can clean the
surface with a da p cloth. DO NOT use any abrasives on the
pressing plate. This pressing plate has a non-stick coating that will
assist in cleaning.
• The ironing board cover is re ovable for nor al washing. You
can rinse the ironing board cover with ild detergent and war
water.
SAFETY FEATURES
The ultiple function safety features of this appliance turn off electric
power to the heater when the pressing plate has been left against
the ironing board for about 10 seconds. You will hear a warning
beep. If the pressing plate is left in the open (up) position without use
after approxi ately 15 inutes, the unit will be auto atically shut-
off. In either case, to restore the unit, you have to press “ON/OFF”
again.
