Fit Mortice Lock

Before tting the lock ensure the bevelled latch is handed

correctly by rotating latch 180 degrees in either direction

(ensure the face plate is not tted at this time).

• When tting the mortice lock, feed the cable through to

the internal side of the door as you t the lock in place.

• Secure with two 8G x 1” countersunk screws (supplied).

• Install faceplate with two M4 x 8 countersunk screws

(supplied).

Step 2

with spring.

Note:

It is not necessary to drill both

required to suit the direction of

the handle.

Handle Position

Step 4

The levers on both external and internal are not handed

from factory.

• To set, insert a small screw driver as illustrated and

depress retaining plate.

• The handle can be congured either in left hand or

right hand by rotating in either direction.

• Once in place the lever will lock into place.

Note: If incorrect handing is selected, this can be easily

reversed by using the same process.

Once decided as to which way the door handle is to be

placed

• Turn lock over and insert the guide screw in the necessary

position (as per step 3).

• You may need to use a at head screw driver to tighten

the guide screw.

Note: This guide screw is critical to the alignment of the

mortice lock and furniture and cannot be discarded.

Step 5

Below is the illustration details for the installation of

the guide screw to suit a left hand door installation.

Fitting of the Front of the Lock

Step 6

Top of lock

Line up all the guide screws and the spindle with the spring

and slide the body into place, gently feeding the cable

through the hole in the door – making sure that the front

main body ts ush against the door.

Should there be a gap between the lock and

the door, this could mean that either the

guidescrew is not in properly, or the spring

and spindle is not in place properly - remove

lock to check that all these have been tted

correctly and try again.

Installation of the Internal Mounting Plate

Step 7A

Check to make sure that the cable

from the front of the lock and the

cable from the mortice lock is clear

and free.

Carefully feed both the main PCB

cable and power cable through the

internal mounting plate.

With the screws provided x the

back plate to the door – making

sure that the guide screw is in

place.

Insert the spindle and spring.

Installation of the Internal Mounting Plate

Step 7B

This product is supplied with a selection of 3 different

length xing screws for varying door thicknesses - 15mm,

25mm and 40mm.

Select 4 x equal length screws according to the door

thickness and secure, ensuring the guide screw is tted

correctly.

Note: Over tightening of these screws is not recommended.
