Determining the UPS Installation Position

2.1

1. The UPS can be installed on the channel steel or floor. Determine the mounting hole positions

using a marking-off template (unit: mm), drill holes, and install expansion sleeves based on site

requirements.

2Installing the UPS

Recommended Channel Steel Dimensions

(A) Mounting holes on the channel steel: M12x60 bolts

(B) Mounting holes on the floor: M12x60 expansion bolts

2. Secure the UPS.

Bolts are not included.

3. Install anchor baffle plates.

3Installing Cables

UPS Cable Connection Reference

3.1

•Prepare cables away from the cabinets to prevent scraps from falling inside. Cable scraps

may ignite and cause personal injury or device damage.

•After cables have been installed, clean the cabinets in a timely manner. Keep the cabinets

and surrounding environment clean and tidy.

•You need to prepare terminals onsite. The stripped length of the copper wire should be the

same as that of the part of the terminal that covers the conductor.

The cabling route is for reference only. Connect cables based on site requirements.

Installing Cables and Copper Bars

3.2

Prepare wiring copper bars based on the following figures and current requirements.

•Copper bars need to be prepared for the mains input, bypass input, and output, and cannot be

directly connected using cables. (Huawei does not provide copper bars or connector boxes.)

•The battery input can be connected only using cables.

•The currents listed in the table are measured at a rated voltage of 380 V (line voltage). For

details, see the user manual.

2. (Optional) Remove the copper bars between the mains input and bypass input.

a) Remove the covers.

Perform this step only when the mains input and bypass input use different power sources.

The 16 mm2ground cable is recommended.

3. Install battery cables.

b) Remove the screws that secure the guide rail of the SPD.

c) Place the SPD on the horizontal plate (without removing the cables).

d) Remove the copper bars.

e) Reinstall the SPD.

Connect the ground cable of the

battery string or its BBB box to

the battery PE of the UPS or the

ground bar in the equipment

room based on the site survey.

6. Prepare and install a connector box based on site requirements. (For the hole size, see "Top

view of the distance between copper bars on the top.")

4. Install top supports and covers of the battery terminal protective covers.

5. Connect input and output busbars based on the top copper bar position diagram.
