1. Introduction
BR-101E can serve as a repeater, bridge or gap filler for DVB-T application. The
transmitted (target) channel’s configuration can be either the same or different as the
received (source) channel’s. The flexibility makes BR-101E a handy converter for
frequency, bandwidth, and modulation conversions between the received and
transmitted channels.
Basically, BR-101E receives a DVB-T channel, demodulates it to transport
stream (TS), re-modulate to DVB-T, and transmit to a new DVB-T channel.
BR-101E has built-in 31-way PID filters and PCR re-stamp.

3. Easy Repeater Setup
3.1. Short Jumper J1
3.2. Connect RF-in/out cable
The RF-in connector is IEC type, and the RF-out is F-type.
3.3. Apply 5V DC Power to the USB connector
3.4. Check LED State

If the RF-in is present and tuned well, the Lock LED will be on.
The factory default settings for RF-in is 474MHz/8MHz BW, and the RF-output
is 666MHz/8MHz BW.
To customize the settings, please refer to the following chapters.

4. Setup PC/NB environment for configuration
DTV Bridge configuration can be set or customized by a tool in PC Windows.
This chapter describes how to setup the tool in PC Windows.
4.1. Run Setup.exe to install configuration software on your PC/NB
In the start menu, a new submenu “DTV Bridge Controller” will be created.
4.2. Remove Jumper J1 for USB configuration mode
4.3. Connect USB port to your PC/NB
4.4. Driver install
In the first time usage, Windows will prompt to install driver. Depending on the
Windows OS type, please specify either 64 bit or 32 bit folder in <Driver>.
You may check if the driver is installed well in Device Manager.
“IT9517 Tx Device” should be listed if the install is successful.

5. Tool Usage-Configure
Set DTV bridge board in configuration mode by removing Jumper J1.
Connect USB port to your PC.
In the start menu, launch “DTV Bridge Controller”.
If device is not found,
Please check,
a. if USB cable is connected well
b. Jumper J1 is removed properly.
c. IT9517 Driver is installed well in Device Manager.
If device is found,

Click on “Connect” to continue.
Click on “Configure” to continue.
Note: If there is any error message as shown below,
Please click on “Init EEPROM” to initialize EEPROM properly. Refer to the chapter
“Tool Usage-Initialize EEPROM”.
