The HEINE BETA®L handle has been specially developed for use with the Li-ion L rechargeable battery and
optimised for fast charging in the HEINE®NT300 charger. The bottom insert of the HEINE BETA®L handle is
fitted with a charge status indicator for monitoring the rechargeable battery. This is automatically activated when
the instrument is removed from the charging station or when it is switched on. After a period of 10 seconds, the
indicator turns itself off automatically.
Charge status indicators:
Orange/green/green: 66 – 100%
Orange/green: 33 – 66%
Orange: 10 – 33%
Orange flashing: < 10%
When changing the battery of the HEINE BETA®L handle the Li-ion L rechargeable battery can be removed
together with the bottom insert (5) after unscrewing the bottom insert. Remove the rechargeable battery from the
bottom insert and attach the new rechargeable battery onto the bottom insert. A clear click sound indicates that
the rechargeable battery and bottom insert are correctly connected. Screw the rechargeable battery, together with
the bottom insert, back onto the handle module.

To turn the instrument on, push the switch (6) down; to turn it off, push it back up. When the clip (7) is clipped onto
a breast pocket the handle turns off automatically.
HEINE BETA®handle variants
The handle module (outer sleeve and handle head) is the same for all HEINE BETA®handles (with the exception
of the large battery handle). The handle type is determined by the bottom insert and the battery type. Deployment
of a different HEINE BETA®handle is easily achieved by exchanging the bottom insert and/or battery type.
