HEARTEC products are intended to be used only on
users over the age of 18.
HEARTEC is not intended to restore normal hearing
and will not prevent or improve a hearing
impairment.
WARNING –Choking Hazard. Keep away from
children.
-Don’ t use it at high volume for long time.
Otherwise it can injure your ear. If you feel
uncomfortable, please stop using the device.
-Batteries are harmful if swallowed. Always store
batteries out of reach of children.
-Device contain small parts which can be
swallowed. Keep hearing instruments, batteries
and accessories out of reach of children and/or
mentally disabled persons. If parts have been
swallowed consult a physician or hospital
immediately.

WARNING
-If parts remain in the ear, please seek medical
attention as possible, do not take it out by
yourself.
-Don’ t use the product in potential explosive or
dangerous environment.
-Don’ t use in an oxygen rich environment, and
continue use hearing amplifier for a long time.
-Do not set volume levels too high. Listening for
extended periods at high volume levels can
cause further hearing damage.
-Do not lend your hearing amplifier to other
persons. Using a hearing amplifier designed for
someone else can result in hearing damage.

WARNING
-Monitor any unusual skin reaction. In some
instances, wearing a hearing amplifier can cause
an allergic reaction leading to itchiness or rashes.
If you notice any unusual skin condition, stop
wearing the hearing amplifier and seek medical
attention.
-Do not touch the hearing amplifier with a
magnetic device. Hearing amplifier may be
damaged when it is touched with a magnetic
device.
-Do not use the device together with a cell
phone. Radio wave emissions from mobile
phones can cause noise in the hearing amplifier
or result in reduced volume.

Warning to Hearing device Dispensers
A hearing device dispenser should advise a prospective hearing device user to
consult promptly with a licensed physician (preferably an ear specialist)
before dispensing a hearing device if the hearing device dispenser determines
through inquiry, actual observation, or review of any other available
information concerning the prospective user, that the prospective user has any
of the following conditions:
(i) Visible congenital or traumatic deformity of the ear.
(ii) History of active drainage from the ear within the previous 90 days.
(iii) History of sudden or rapidly progressive hearing loss within the previous
90 days.
(iv) Acute or chronic dizziness.
(v) Unilateral hearing loss of sudden or recent onset within the previous 90
days.
(vi) Audiometric air-bone gap equal to or greater than 15 decibels at 500 hertz
(Hz), 1,000 Hz, and 2,000 Hz.
(vii) Visible evidence of significant cerumen accumulation or a foreign body in
the ear canal.
(viii) Pain or discomfort in the ear.
A hearing device will not restore normal hearing and will not prevent or
improve a hearing impairment resulting from organic conditions. In most
cases infrequent use of a hearing device does not permit a user to attain full
benefit from it. The use of a hearing device is only part of hearing habilitation
and may need to be supplemented by auditory training and instruction in
lipreading.

Important Notice for Prospective Hearing device Users
Good health practice requires that a person with a hearing loss have a
medical evaluation by a licensed physician (preferably a physician who
specializes in diseases of the ear) before purchasing a hearing device.
Licensed physicians who specialize in diseases of the ear are often referred to
as otolaryngologists, otologists or otorhinolaryngologists. The purpose of
medical evaluation is to assure that all medically treatable conditions that
may affect hearing are identified and treated before the hearing device is
purchased.
Following the medical evaluation, the physician will give you a written
statement that states that your hearing loss has been medically evaluated and
that you may be considered a candidate for a hearing device. The physician
will refer you to an audiologist or a hearing device dispenser, as appropriate,
for a hearing device evaluation.
The audiologist or hearing device dispenser will conduct a hearing device
evaluation to assess your ability to hear with and without a hearing device.
The hearing device evaluation will enable the audiologist or dispenser to
select and fit a hearing device to your individual needs.
If you have reservations about your ability to adapt to amplification, you
should inquire about the availability of a trial-rental or purchase-option
program. Many hearing device dispensers now offer programs that permit you
to wear a hearing device for a period of time for a nominal fee after which
you may decide if you want to purchase the hearing device.
Federal law restricts the sale of hearing devices to those individuals who have
obtained a medical evaluation from a licensed physician. Federal law permits
a fully informed adult to sign a waiver statement declining the medical
evaluation for religious or personal beliefs that preclude consultation with a
physician. The exercise of such a waiver is not in your best health interest and
its use is strongly discouraged.

Installing The Battery

1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Remove the protective film from the new
battery.
3. Insert the new battery with the “+” symbol
in the correct position.
4. Gently close the battery compartment.

Operating The Device

TURNING ON and OFF
Turn ON: Close the battery compartment.
The default volume (minimum) and hearing mode
(Standard) are set.
Turn OFF: Open the battery compartment.
MODE SELECTOR
Press the “M” (Mode) button to select from the
following two modes:
1. Standard Mode
2. Noise Reduction Mode
VOLUME
Press the volume button UP or DOWN. A total of 6
volume degrees are available.
