Thank you for purchasing this HARIO product.
Please be sure to read this instruction manual thoroughly in order to
use this product correctly.
After reading it, store it in a safe place for future reference.
Usage Instructions
●Normal Measurement
1 Press the “ON/OFF TARE” button to turn
the power on.
* Be sure to use the product on a flat,
stable surface where it cannot slip.
* When the “ON/OFF TARE” switch is
pressed, all of the text and marks are
shown in the display. “0.0g” is displayed
after approximately 3 seconds.
If a number other than “0.0g” appears in
the display, press the “ON/OFF” switch to
turn the power off and on again.
* Do not place anything on the weighing
platform when turning the power on.
2 Place an item on the weighing platform,
and the weight is shown in the display.
* Make sure that “0.0g” is displayed before
placing an item on the weighing platform.
* Place the item on the center of the weighing platform.
* The maximum weight display is 2000g. “EEEE” is displayed if
an item that exceeds the maximum weight is placed on the
scale.
3 Remove the item, and then press and hold the “ON/OFF TARE”
switch (approx. 1.5 seconds) to turn the power off.
●TARE (Subtracting the weight of the container)
1 Press the “ON/OFF TARE” switch to turn the power on.
2 Place a container on the weighing
platform, and the weight of the container is
shown in the display.
* Make sure that “0.0g” is displayed before
placing the container on the weighing
platform.
* Place the container on the center of the
weighing platform.
3 Press the “ON/OFF TARE” switch, and
“0.0g” is shown in the display.
After approx. 3 seconds.
4 Place the item to be weighed into the
container, and the weight of just the item is
displayed.
* “EEEE” is displayed if the combined weight of
the item and container exceeds 2000g.
5 Minus (–) is displayed when the container
(including the weighed item) is removed. Remove the item, and
then press and hold the “ON/OFF TARE” switch (approx. 1.5
seconds) to turn the power off.
●Timer Function
1 Press the “START STOP” switch to start the counter counting
upwards.
2 You can pause the counter at any time by pressing the “START
STOP” switch. Press the “START STOP” switch again to restart
the counter.
3 Press and hold the “START STOP” switch (approx. 1.5 seconds)
to reset the counter to “0.”
Brewing Coffee Using the V60 Drip Scale
01 Press Start. 02 Place the server,
dripper and paper
filter on the scale.
03 Reset the weight.
04 Add the required
amount of coffee
grounds.
This product displays the total
weight of the container and
weighed item in 0.1g units
from 2g to 200g, 0.5g units
from 200g to 500g, and 1g
units from 500g to 2000g.
05 Reset the weight.

Product Care
• Wipe the main unit with a well wrung-out cloth. If the product is
particularly dirty, wipe with a cloth soaked in neutral detergent.
• Do not use thinners, benzene, gasoline, kerosene or alcohol to clean
the product. Doing so may result in discoloration or deterioration of the
product.

Replacing Batteries
1 Open the battery cover on the back of the product.
2 Remove the old batteries and insert new ones. Make sure the “+” and
“-” poles are facing the correct direction.
3 Replace the battery cover, and press until a “click” is heard.
* “Lo” appears in the display if the batteries run low during use. Replace
the batteries immediately in this case.
* The product will function for approximately 12 months on a new set of
batteries. (When used three times a day for 2 minutes at a time at a
room temperature of 20°C.)
* The batteries included with the product are for confirming operation of
the product, and may have a shorter life span than normal batteries.
* Follow the regulations in your local area when disposing of batteries.
Assured Accuracy Range
• This product is manufactured and tested in accordance with the
technical standards prescribed in the Measurement Act.
Accuracy is assured within the range specified below according to the
weight being measured.
Precautions for Use
• This product is designed for home use. Do not use this product for
selling items by weight or as an official proof of weight.
• The gravity value differs slightly in different regions. This difference may
cause inaccuracies to occur in high precision scales.
• The weight may change by ±2g immediately after placing a hot item on
the scale.
(When used in a room temperature of 20°C±5°C)

This is a precision instrument. Do not drop it or subject it to strong
impact. Doing so may cause malfunctions.
Place items gently onto the weighing platform. Dropping items onto
the product may cause malfunctions.
When storing the product, do not place items or place any kind of
load on the weighing platform. Doing so may cause malfunctions.
Be sure to use the product on a flat, stable surface where it cannot
slip. Using on an unstable surface may result in incorrect readings,
or may cause the product to fall.
• Do not short, disassemble, heat or burn batteries. Doing so may cause the
batteries to generate heat, leak fluid or explode.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children. If swallowed, seek immediate medical
attention.
• If the alkaline solution from a battery leaks onto skin or clothes, wash thoroughly
with clean water. If the solution gets into eyes, wash with clean water and seek
immediate medical attention.
• Do not insulate batteries with tape, etc. when storing or disposing of them.
Contact with other metal or batteries may result in fire or explosion.
Do not insert your fingers into openings in the scale. Doing so may
result in injury.
Do not place the product in a location that is subject to high
temperatures. Doing so may cause the surface of the product to
deteriorate, or may result in fire. Do not place near a heating
appliance such as a room heater or in direct sunlight.
Do not place in a location that is subject to humidity or a magnetic
field. Doing so may cause malfunctions.
Do not heat, disassemble, modify or immerse the product in water.
Doing so may cause malfunctions.
Warnings for Batteries
Be sure to follow the instructions below. Using batteries incorrectly may cause
battery fluid to leak or the battery to explode, resulting in damage to the product or
injury.
*Insert the batteries with the polarity (+)(–) facing the correct direction.
*Remove exhausted batteries from the product as soon as possible.
*Remove batteries if the product is not to be used for an extended period.

Bedienungsanleitung
●Normale Messung
1 Drücken Sie die Taste „ON/OFF TARE“, um das
Gerät einzuschalten.
* Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Produkt auf

* Wenn die Taste „ON/OFF TARE“ gedrückt

Wird etwas anderes als „0,0 g“ auf dem
Display angezeigt, drücken Sie die Taste
„ON/OFF“, um das Gerät aus- und wieder
einzuschalten.
* Stellen Sie nichts auf die Wiegefläche, wenn
Sie das Gerät einschalten.
2 Stellen Sie einen Gegenstand auf die
Wiegefläche; daraufhin wird das Gewicht auf
dem Display angezeigt.
* Vergewissern Sie sich, dass „0,0 g“ angezeigt wird, bevor Sie einen
Gegenstand auf die Wiegefläche stellen.
* Platzieren Sie den Gegenstand in der Mitte der Wiegefläche.
* Der maximale Gewichtsanzeigewert beträgt 2.000 g. „EEEE“ wird
angezeigt, wenn ein Gegenstand auf die Waage gestellt wird,
welcher das maximale Gewicht überschreitet.
3 Nehmen Sie den Gegenstand von der Wiegefläche und halten Sie die
Taste „ON/OFF TARE“ gedrückt (etwa 1,5 Sekunden), um das Gerät
auszuschalten.
●TARE (Abzug des Eigengewichtes eines Gefäßes)
1 Drücken Sie die Taste „ON/OFF TARE“, um das Gerät einzuschalten.
2 Stellen Sie ein Gefäß auf die Wiegefläche; daraufhin wird das Gewicht
des Gefäßes auf dem Display angezeigt.
* Vergewissern Sie sich, dass „0,0 g“ angezeigt
wird, bevor Sie das Gefäß auf die
Wiegefläche stellen.
* Platzieren Sie das Gefäß in der Mitte der
Wiegefläche.
Nach ca. 3 Sekunden
3 Drücken Sie die Taste „ON/OFF TARE“;
daraufhin wird „0,0 g“ auf dem Display
angezeigt.
4 Schütten Sie das Wägegut in das Gefäß;
daraufhin wird nur das Gewicht des
Wägegutes angezeigt.
* „EEEE“ wird angezeigt, wenn das gemeinsame Gewicht von
Wägegut und Gefäß 2.000 g überschreitet.
5 Minus (-) wird angezeigt, wenn das Gefäß (mit Wägegut) von der
Waage genommen wird. Nehmen Sie Gefäß samt Inhalt von der
Waage und halten Sie die Taste „ON/OFF TARE“ gedrückt (etwa
1,5 Sekunden), um das Gerät auszuschalten.
●Zeitmessfunktion
1 Drücken Sie die Taste „START STOP“, um die Zeitmessung zu
starten.
2 Sie können den Zähler durch Drücken der Taste „START STOP“
zu jeder Zeit stoppen. Drücken Sie die Taste „START STOP“
erneut, um den Zähler weiterlaufen zu lassen.
3 Halten Sie die Taste „START STOP“ gedrückt (etwa 1,5 Sekunden),
um den Zähler auf „0“ zurückzusetzen
