OPERATIONAL GUIDE

• Remove the protective cap

and turn the tester on by

sliding the top switch.

• Immerse the tester into the

solution up to the maxi-

mum immersion level,

without touching the bot-

tom of the beaker.

• Stir gently and wait for the reading to

stabilize. TDS1 automatically compensates

for temperature variations.

CALIBRATION

• Immerse the tester into the

HI 70080 (800 ppm) cali-

bration solution, without ex-

ceeding the maximum im-

mersion level.

• Allow the reading to stabi-

lize and using the supplied

screwdriver adjust the cali-

bration trimmer until the

nominal value of the solu-

tion is displayed.

• Calibration is now complete.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

When the TDS1 can not be switched on or

the display fades, batteries have to be re-

placed.

Pull out the batteries com-

partment as shown in the

drawing, and replace all four

1.5V batteries, while pay-

ing attention to the correct

polarity.

Batteries should only be replaced in a non

hazardous area and using the battery type

specified in this instruction manual.
