F. While setting-up and using the Hitch
Mount Vise Plate keep work area clean
and well lighted. Keep spectators and
children out of the work area. Never allow
children to play on the Hitch Mount
Vise Plate.
3. Use of the Hitch Mount Vise Plate
A. Do not modify the Hitch Mount Vise Plate
and do not use this product for purposes that
it was not designed for. The Hitch Mount
Vise Plate is designed to make a mounted
vise portable for use at job sites and
other locations where bench top mount-
ing is not available.
This Vise Plate is not
designed for power tool mounting. Not
for use as a mount for a table saw, cut-
off saw, miter saw, or any other type of
power tool.
B. Be aware of the danger of “dynamic
loading”. This situation arises when a load
is dropped onto the Hitch Mount Vise Plate,
resulting in a short term excessive load.
Dynamic loading can result in damage and
failure of the Hitch Mount Vise Plate and/or
vehicle’s hitch receiver, and personal injury
to the person setting up, or using the Hitch
Mount Vise Plate.
C. Keep children and spectators clear when
setting-up and using the Hitch Mount Vise
Plate.
D. Adhere to all Department of
Transportation (D.O.T.) requirements when
using this product.
E. For the vehicle that will support the Hitch
Mount Vise Plate, read all pertinent vehicle
instructions and warnings provided in the
owner’s manual. Make sure the vehicle’s
engine is OFF, with parking brake set, before
setting-up, using, or removing the Hitch
Mount Vise Plate.
F. Maximum weight capacity of the Hitch
Mount Vise Plate with vise attached is
200 Lbs. Do not exceed this maximum
weight capacity.
G. The Hitch Mount Vise Plate must be
attached to a 2” x 2” Class III or Class IV hitch
receiver. The hitch receiver must be properly
installed by a qualified service technician and
be certified to support the weight of this
Hitch Mount Vise Plate and the attached vise
(see paragraph F above).
H. Before using the attached vise at the
work site, make sure vehicle’s engine is
OFF, with parking brake set. Work site
I. When work is done, the vise must be
removed before moving the vehicle.
Either remove the vise from the Hitch Mount
Vise Plate, or pull out included hitch pin and
remove Receiver Tube and Vise Plate from
the vehicle’s hitch receiver (these components,
with vise attached, will be heavy, and may
be a two man job to remove).
J. When not in use, store the vise and the
Hitch Mount Vise Plate in a safe, secure
location. If vise remains attached to the
removed Hitch Mount Vise Plate, both should
be tied down and properly secured.
Keep in mind that the warnings previously
discussed cannot cover all possible
conditions or situations that could occur.
It is important that the person loading/
/unloading and using this product
understand that common sense and
caution are factors which cannot be built
into this product, and must be supplied by
the person(s) using this product.
K. WARNING! Avoid finger/hand injury
When attaching hitch accessory
to the vehicle’s hitch receiver,
NEVER insert finger into hitch
pin holes in an attempt to align
accessory to hitch receiver;
serious injury to fingers/hands
could occur.
